We stayed here hoping for a relaxing place to come back to after exploring Palm Springs each day. The home is comfortable but is not up to rental standards and needs lots of maintenance. I will say the good parts first: It is spacious, and comfortable. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and they have put great effort into providing quality bedding and lots of extra pillows. It is peaceful and on a quiet street. Unfortunately, it was not as advertised, and is in need of deep cleaning and maintenance. The photos here are very misleading and everything is fresh, clean and gleaming but that was not the case. We could never get the pool running and the hot tub never exceeded 86 degrees which is not hot. Most of the furniture and rugs are damaged, stained or very old and looked like curbside acquisitions. The backyard/pool was just filthy and unmaintained. The yard is NOT secure and pet friendly. The fences are falling apart in many places and have huge gaps where dogs could escape. (We supervise our dogs so it was OK)There are alarm units on the sliding doors that you can't turn off (or couldn't figure out) so we couldn't open the sliding patio door in the master bedroom. There are remotes for Roku and FireTv and things, but there was no Roku or FireTv boxes hooked up to the TV so we couldn't use the smart TV.The owners left boxes of delivery items in the foyer which was weird.In the end, we were fine, but it was really not acceptable for a rental.

Check in was great. House didn’t look like the photos. The pool was clogged and cloudy. Pool guy was awesome though. Very helpful. The place just needs some TLC.

Not bad, but not happy

The owners had good communication. But the place was not clean. Bugs under sofas and coffee tables. The pool was extremely dirty had to only use jacuzzi only because it was less dirty. I paid a lot of money for the place to not be clean. Cleaners did

Short stay in Palm Springs

Pool play was wonderful. Enjoyed lounging in the early morning. Very quiet neighborhood and close to the things we wanted to do. Kitchen was well supplied.

Property not what is pictured!

This is the first time I am giving a bad review with VRBO.When my family and I arrived to the property it seemed okay. Unfortunately the photos on VRBO were not at all what we experienced. There was no instruction that when opening the patio doors that an alarm needed to be disengaged before opening and how to lock the front door. I had to contact the partner of the host. The landscaping and the property was nothing at all like the photos posted on VRBO! Many of the plants were dead, there were dried leaves in and out of the pool & hot tub, the outdoor furniture was dirty and the cushions were split, the outdoor mat rug was filthy and there were 2 broken candle pots. I did find a nasty and broken pool net to clean the floating leaves from the pool and hot tub. Just as I finished getting leaves cleaned up a dead tree branch fell. Then to top it off there was no hot water in the master bath sink and we found two cockroaches that were trying to stay alive. Need less to say that all made our stay uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I did contact the host and received an apology. Not worth the money.

Never stay here again

The house is in a great location but needs several updates. I stayed in the Master Bedroom/Bathroom and the tub/shower had mold so bad I had to use the shower in the guest bathroom... there were ants in the room off the kitchen that an exterminator should have been called. and when we called the caretaker that was given to us by Philippa to get us a new propane tank for a feast we were planning it finally came the day after and we had to cook everything on the stove inside... The floor in the kitchen and dining room has chips everywhere and needs to be replaced. I could go on but I won't. Whoever listed this on VRBO should take it off their website unless some major upgrades are taken.

Fun Spring getaway to celebrate birthdays.

Our recent stay at the residence in Movie Colony East was perfect for our family getaway. Pros: the location is excellent, very private and safe, the pool and spa were clean and inviting, the gas barbecue made our birthday dinner easy to prepare, and the kitchen was well-stocked. The beds were very comfortable, and the big screen TV made for a fun family movie night There was a minor glitch in bathroom supplies, but it was quickly taken care of by the property manager. The outside grounds and patio furnishings could use some refreshing, but it was nothing that prevented us from having a great time. We would definitely book this property again.

The Dump

The place was totally run down. Stains on the furniture, and carpets, floor tiles were chipped and worn, baseboards were dirty. Pool area furniture was torn and grossly stained. The pool bottom was chipped, the spa was cold , the patio area has large cracks that you easily stumble over, outdoor rugs/matts were full of mildew.

Great location

This mid-century modern home was probably loved at one time but it is in need of much work. The cleaners did the best they could but there was old and rotted wood every where. Do not rely on the photos.

An oasis in the desert

The hosts were incredible, and responsive. The pool was freshly cleaned, and we enjoyed it to the fullest. Location is perfect for a quiet stay in Palm Springs that's still close enough enjoy everything the city has to offer. Will definitely be coming back!

Dog-friendly not just in name

So many listings say dog friendly but then limit you to a single dog under 20 pounds and have no yard or space for the dog. This is actually a great house for well-behaved dogs. I made sure before traveling that my 2 super short-haired competition sport dogs would be welcome, and they were, they even swam in the pool with us. There is a grassy yard on each side of the warm pool and hot tub, and fantastic mature trees and plantings. I bet that if you come here in the summer this backyard is 20 degrees cooler than the neighbors yards. We picked lemons off the tree to squeeze over the steaks we grilled by the pool. Quiet area, I only saw other people when I walked the dogs in the evenings. House was also great, comfy couches, stocked kitchen, comfy beds, nice jacuzzi tub, just what we were looking for.

Private, but not at all elegant.

Came here with my family for the long Thanksgiving weekend. Pros: the beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked and the pool heated nicely after 24 hours of being there. Cons: dirty and unwelcoming entryway, Pool deck and all outdoor furniture were very dirty. The screen door fell off after just opening the patio sliding door. Every time we got out of the hot-tub or pool, the deck was so dirty that dirt, leaves and or other debris from trees would stick to our feet and there was no indoor entryway rugs from the pool area. The outdoor rugs were so dirty with debris it did not clean off anything. I spent an hour the first night trying to sweep in the dark. Old mildewed pool inflatables sat on the patio in a big pile. All patio furniture was stained. The bathroom toilet paper holder was broken so the toilet paper kept falling on the floor. House needs new flooring and bathrooms. Nothing elegant about this property for $600 a night.

Great Palm Springs Weekend

The property owner was very accommodating letting us check out two hours later than normal. The house was very comfortable and enjoyable to spend our evenings. We spent most of the time exploring Palm Springs. My only slight complaint is that the pool had a lot of leaves in it and we spent an hour cleaning it up before swimming.
