Ocean views on every floor! Short Sands Beach is just steps away from the house but you will be in walking distance to Long Sands Beach and the Nubble Lighthouse. Just walk down the hill to enjoy all of downtown York Beach, with its restaurants, shops, Ellis Park grass & bandstand, playground, basketball courts, shops, and Goldenrod taffy!

3 Broadway is “the Famous Bennet Guest House” (8 Bedrooms, 3 bathrooms & enclosed private outdoor shower) Spacious bright kitchen with ceramic tile floors, dishwasher and washer and dryer on main floor!

• Stay cool with central Air-Conditioning.

Open the double front doors from the enclosed spacious porch and enjoy the large real wood paneled living room with piano, TV and WiFi, and relax with friends and family. Separate kitchen with breakfast table. Large dining room with downstairs bathroom (with shower). This spacious house has everything you need for a great vacation and a washer and dryer to keep everything clean. The large sunroom on the side of the house is great for relaxing in the morning or any time of the day or night.

The 1st floor has one bedroom (with 2 single beds) which is great for anyone who doesn't want to use the stairs but has bathroom on the same floor for their convenience.
The 2nd floor has beautiful Ocean Views and a full bath room with shower/tub, 4 bedrooms.
The 3rd floor has has beautiful Ocean Views, and a full bath room with shower/tub, 3 more rooms and sleeps up to 8 more guests.

Bed layout for the whole house:
1st floor - room 1 = 1 double, 1 twin
2nd floor - room 2 = queen bed
room 3 = 2 single beds
room 4 = queen bed
room 5 = full bed and 2 single beds
3rd floor - room 6 = 2 single beds
room 7 = full bed and single bed
room 8 = queen and single bed

There is also an enclosed Outdoor Shower with electricity to make rinsing the sand off after the beach, or helping folks get ready for the Ellis Park concerts just steps away.

We do NOT allow guests to bring pets regardless of size, fur/hair, training or age of pet. Thank you.

**Reminder that you must bring your own linens including bedsheets, pillowcases, and towels. Quilts and pillows are provided**

Great Location

This was a classic Maine Cottage with a great location and enough room for the entire family. The host was excellent at communication and helped facilitate our check in and check out process well!

Great location and cozy house

We had a great time hanging out at this cozy, comfortable house with plenty of space for 17 people. It was in a very good location right between long and short sands.

Location location location

The location of this property is awesome however the house is very old and never had any updates. It is very rustic but can’t beat the location. I would definitely stay again because of the location.

Ideal location

There were 15 of us and we never felt cramped. A very short walk to the beach and shopping. Ashley is a great host!

Great week at 3 Broadway

The location to Short Sands was great- a very short walk to the beach and convenient to go back to the house for lunch. The house has plenty of room and accommodates large families. The owner was very responsive and replied quickly to our messages.

Family Vacation

The property was perfect for our group of 14 , Easy walk to short sands or long sands beach, An evening stroll to nuble light or a trip to Fun-O-Rama for some candlestick bowling and the frappes at Goldenrod . Ashley was very attentive to our needs with prompt responses to questions etc. we will definitely be back.

Yearly Family Vacation

This home is ideal for our family vacation week, we've stayed the past two summer's and are returning again next summer. The location is perfect one block from short sands. Close to all downtown activity, but far enough away so you're not in the middle of the activity. With a large family we always have lots of room, comfortable beds and the owners are very easy to work with the house is always so clean. Thank you Sarah & Herb

Family vacation

Location location!! A very short walk to Short sands beach and shops,fireworks Sunday night were steps away! The little ones enjoyed the back porch as a "playroom " and there was plenty of room for all! Thanks to Ashley for the prompt responses to my questions. We all had a ball,even my poor son who unfortunately had an ambulance ride with a slipped disc! He is recovering! Thanks so much! Great vacation!

Amazing host house needs some love

We feel so fortunate that we stayed at this amazing house. It fit all of us (19) comfortably. The location was great as well. The house is older and our host recently purchased it so work in process. During our stay we had some problems with lights and the ceiling leaking. The host was responsive and said they were going to repair those issues after we left. So for the next people that stay you can’t beat the location and the host. As for the hiccups we had those hopefully will be non issues for you.

Great Family Getaway

We do our main family vacation in York Beach every summer. This year we were looking to do a larger gathering with extended family. I wasn't sure how we'd be able to accommodate everyone but this guest house was exactly what we needed. We had a set of grandparents, couples, and cousins under one roof comfortably (16 people total). The house had a nice big kitchen & dining room area where we could gather, as well as a couple of TV options so that people could watch what they wanted in the evening. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils for big family meals. AC was very strong and there were 2 full fridges for storage. Our first couple of days were rainy but this wasn't an issue since there was plenty of room to hang at the place. We were able to park 5 cars without issue. The house was conveniently located between Short Sands & Long Sands. We ended up going to Short Sands several days since it was closer and an easy walk down to the beach. Multiple family members commented that it was the "perfect" house for us.

Perfect for our group!

Sarah was wonderful and easy to communicate with. Having different family areas in the house made it so comfortable to hang out, talk, play games or take a snooze. The location was excellent for walking to anything. Made for a memorable family get together. Thanks Sarah!

Excellent!

Wonderful large, spacious house. Plenty of room for 9 adults and 2 small children. Easy walk to the beach, shops, and zoo. Also has a charcoal grill and a dishwasher. We had an amazing week!

Loved the location of this property…morning walks to Nubble Lighthouse, afternoon walks to Goldenrod, and being able to walk to the beach were so convenient. Plenty fo space and room to gather. Loved the side porch as the kid zone :).

Unbelievable!! Amazing!!

Sarah and Herb’s house in York was just perfect for me and my extended family! Plenty of room, even on a rainy day! We all had our own bedrooms so it was so comfortable. The location can’t be beat. So much to do! We had little ones who loved the playground during high tide. There really was something fir everyone. Beach, shops, arcade, light house and the ac made the house so comfortable for those who wanted a mid afternoon nap in the heat. Sarah was so sweet and caring. Hoping to make this our annual beach house !!

Great Location

The Beach house is a great location minutes walking distance from short sands. We rented all 3 floors there was plenty of room for everyone. We had 11 guests over the age of 20. The house has a great beachy charm and was very clean. The AC helped during hot days but you get a nice breeze off the ocean at night so did not need it for sleeping. Sarah was a great host very accommodating. Our family had an amazing week.

Family vacation

Our family enjoyed the layout of the house. There was plenty of space for our entire family. There are multiple refrigerators and seating for everyone. The porch is nice to sit out on. The outdoor shower helped to transition from the beach. The central AC allowed us to stay cool during the hot nights.

Great location for York Beach summer vacation

We stayed one week in the lower 2 levels - two families (4 adults, 6 kids ranging from 2-9). This was our 9th year vacationing during the summer in Maine so we already knew all of the local spot but there was a great 'Welcome Book' with a lot of local information. The house was clean and had everything we expected. The furniture, décor, and carpeting gave the house a comfortable feel. A/C was an added bonus for the hot days but we really didn't need it. We also enjoyed the front room for the few times it rained or at night once the kids went to bed. For those that need to take a Zoom call or two while on vacation, the Wi-Fi was great throughout the house! Short Sands beach and the town are an easy 5 minute walk with sidewalks the entire way. We either went to the beach or the town nearly every day. We also walked down to the baseball field (by York's Wild Kingdom) one day. As expected, there is a fair amount of traffic on Broadway since this is the primary street to the Nubble so you just have to be careful with little kids in the front of the house however we were either inside or down at the beach/park to play outside so it wasn't a major concern. Be careful crossing the street also as many drivers come to the stop sign very fast. We also witnessed numerous cars make an illegal left turn down the one-way street. The outdoor shower was great following a day at the beach. The water pressure isn't very high outside so I recommend using baby powder to get sand off the littles ones before using the shower. Sarah communicated very well and gave us a few pieces of advice for the house upon arriving. She was great! Overall, it was great place to stay for a coastal Maine vacation.

3 Broadway in York Beach Maine

Our family had a wonderful stay at Sarah and Herb’s place. Great location between Long and Short Sands and plenty to do for all ages in our growing family. The house had all the charm and character you would expect from the Maine coastline. We look forward to returning for more fun and sun!!

Wonderful week

Large house with plenty of room for everyone . House is stocked with everything you need. Central air was a plus for us as well as multiple ceiling fans to keep the house cool. Sarah is an absolute pleasure to deal with ! Looking forward to returning .
