This is a four bedroom cottage that sleeps 10.

Fabulous location & home

We spent 4th of July week with family including 6 adults and 3 under 7. The flow and size of the common areas were fantastic. Highly recommend!

Love Higgins Lake

Great place on the lake to stay with sandy bottom with no rocks which is great for kids to swim. The cottage was a unique layout with the bedrooms which added to its charm. Best beds we have slept in our last 4 rentals on the lake.

Awesome week at Piggins(Higgins)

Really great stay. Perfect for having young children. Cabin is roomy and has plenty of beds. Large kitchen and living room area. Lake is outstanding.

Great lake house with view of Higgins Lake

The lake house and property is very nice and the owners are very considerate and friendly. We take a yearly trip to Higgins Lake and this was one of our most memorable. There are any accommodations that you need, beds are comfortable, and there is heating and cooling. I would recommend and I am greatful to the owners for letting us stay in their home.

Love South Higgins Lake!!!

The house had everything you need! Pillows were soft but kids didn’t care and we are fussy so we bring our own pillows;) Can’t wait to go back again. Only thing for a family with small children there was only a shower not bathtub. Kip was great and very easy to work with!

Great Vacation House!

The property was great! Just as described (or maybe even better) than described in the listing. We cooked most meals at the house and had plenty of kitchenware and space to eat. Owner was fantastic and answered my questions promptly when we arrived. We had family staying in the house next to us and loved the large yard area, fire pit, tetherball and horshoe pits between the the houses. We rented the owner's son's boat for the week which was very affordable and he came and took us on a short ride explaining all the ins and outs of the boat and the lake itself which was very helpful. Dock and small beach area were used a ton on the nice days. Even though the weather wasn't exactly what was predicted it was so comfy and cozy at the house, we didn't mind to spend some time inside. Beds were also very comfy! I would definitely recommend this property to others.

So Relaxing and beautiful

Really Enjoyed our stay, such a nice place. Peaceful, and relaxing. Beautiful views of Higgins lake, we also rented the. pontoon boat for the week to fish and take boat rides in the evening. Didn't need this big of a place because it was just myself and my husband but it was so nice. Owner very nice and personable. Would like to stay here again.

Great time had by all

Overall things were very good. The dryer was not working for several days but we were informed by the owner in a timely fashion and kept in the loop for repair. We rented a pontoon from the owner's brother which led to some concerns. We were never quite sure if it was going to start and had concerns about getting stuck. Other than that the pontoon was wonderful. Had a couple of run-ins with the owner's brother who also lives on the property. Overall we were very happy with our experience. +

Very clean

The cottage was very clean and had a lot of space for everyone. The only problem was the grill but was able to use another one on property. I would recommend this place to stay.

Lee and Dunham vacation

Would have liked a second shower with having 10 adults and 2 children under 5. Took parents 89 & 84 years on vacation it was a long walk for them to get to the beach with their walkers. Liked table in kitchen so we could all eat together and enough space in living room and enough sleeping space for everyone. Thank you Kip for letting my dad use the recliner chair it was very helpful.

Pure Michigan!

This cabin has an amazing view of Higgins Lake, rated a few years ago by National Geographic as the 6th Best Lake anywhere! Bunk room was great for kids, queen beds were super comfy although room size was small, and the newly updated shower was perfection. We were there with our family of 17 and also used the Shield house on the property, and we had extra beds between the two rentals. Kids and grown ups all had a blast. One thing that could be an issue for others might be that all bedrooms In this cabin are accessed through the bunk room. But it was no problem for us. Living/kitchen area was open, spacious & well-furnished.

Overall condition good.

Had some cleanliness issues in the kitchen which owner promptly resolved. One mattress needs replacing, way too soft. Owner is aware of this issue too. Shared fire pit allows you to meet your neighbors. Private dock for swimming. Overall a good experience.

Great location for our family and friends

Accommodations were great, Kip was very responsive. Air conditioning was not working on arrival, with Kip's help it was fixed within 45 minutes. The kitchen was well stocked, and the home welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation.

Great multifamily vacation

Really unique setting with a family atmosphere. Kip is one of those friendly interactive hosts. We spent most of our time in the water or in the yard. Great kitchen for cooking for 9; 4 adults and 5 kids. There are a few homes on this property that are all in the family, they have a sort of shared yard space which we embraced and you should too! Some of our group took short trips off the property fishing and getting ice cream. The traditional bedrooms are off the bunk room fyi. For our group this meant we put the kids in bedrooms so it would be quiet for them and then grownups took the bunk room. Check if you should bring your own linens. We were sort of unclear about a few things but Kip and his wife are very responsive if you ask! There was a little house issue (cracked toilet seat) while we were there that was seen to immediately. Hope to stay here again.

Perfect week for our family

It was the perfect week long getaway! We enjoyed privacy and comfort at Kip's house. The kids loved the unlimited access to the (clear) lake, and we loved the quiet mornings, spectacular sunrises and sunrises, and nightly bonfires. Kip's house had everything we needed. We will be coming back again and would love to see the place in the winter. Kip (the owner) was always available if we needed him and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He was a fun loving guy who always made us feel at home. We'll be coming back!!

Great Experience

We had a great experience staying here. The accommodation was very clean. The owner "Kip" welcomed us on our arrival and showed us around. The kitchen has everything that you will ever need starting from utensils and all the way to spices. Coal and Gas grill. Big private back yard and private beach access with a dock to sit on and enjoy the beautiful lake view. Fire pit in the back yard with plenty of space to sit around. We were an hour late at checkout and the owner was very accommodating about it. Overall a great experience. Will definitely go again.
