Take a break on Mobile Bay at this quaint bungalow. Enjoy kayaking, fishing, crabbing and boating from your own private pier. Relax on the wharf under blue skies & magnificent sunsets.golf, etc. You will be minutes away from downtown Fairhope (shopping/restaurants), and just 30 miles from Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. Plenty of blue crabs & fish to catch here. This house is completely furnished and ready to go. Leave your troubles behind, and come stay with us. Pets welcome with a fee.

Very accommodating and clean. Could use some minor repairs.(1/2 bath toilet does not flush easily, post on porch are looseand leaning, lights and water availability on pier would be GREAT) Happy with the rental.

Was disappointed with the pier. It is completely closed in so the area where you park your boat was unusable. If you parked your boat, you couldn’t get out of it onto the deck. Also, there was no lower deck. Having a wall all the way around the deck made it very difficult to fish. There were no lights on pier except for one light in the corner. There used to be lights all the way down the pier walkway and all over the pier (the pics showed the ones on the walkway). The crab baskets shown in the pics are now rusted out from being left in the water so they are unusable. The water hose at the house was just a cut off hose with no nozzle. The deck and stairs on the house are on the edge of rotting down and not safe. The garbage can outside was full of maggots. The house itself was fine except that the mattresses were uncomfortable. The owner needs to take new pictures of everything as it is obvious they are old and do not accurately represent the current condition of everything. Also, the price needs to be reduced considering everything I have mentioned here.

Covered Pier Feb 2025

The Property Mgr ,Beth Ann, was always available on short notice to stop in or answer our questions. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the utensils that were needed.The house and bedding were very clean. The gated deck was great for having a dog. Fantastic sunsets and you could see barge traffic in the distance on Mobile Bay. Check out Madi Gra dates next year as a parade went right by the house...so much fun. Fairhope has so many shops and restaurants, many are dog friendly, along with a nice shaded dog park. Definitely can spend 2 weeks in this quaint town without having to go to Gulf Shores...Nice farmers market in Foley on Sat mornings and fresh shrimp right off the boats in Bon Soucor.

Brief Bay Getaway

My husband and I drove over from Biloxi for a quick birthday trip. The cottage was absolutely perfect for us. My husband loves the water and the views are unmatched. We didn’t utilize much of it, but the house seemed stocked with what ever you could need from toiletries, towels, to cooking ware. We watched the sunset from the dock while my husband cast his fishing pole. It was a picturesque birthday evening for him. We will definitely be booking again.

Bay house

We enjoyed our stay! charming little bay house. Our stay would have been much better though if the owners would have upgraded a few things!! The ice maker was not working, The tub drain not working, grass was knee deep and needed cutting therefore I stepped in an ant bed because I couldn’t see it while taking my dog out. , kitchen pots and pans need upgrading, grills were rusted iver and unusable.

Great fishing

House was very clean,loved the pier caught plenty of crabs and even caught shrimp.Will definitely book again. Best vacation ever!!

Disappointing

Couldn’t go on pier due to unevenness. Couldn’t walk out to covered area on end of pier. Muddy water sitting under house and standing water along driveway. Was afraid I’d get stuck turning car around. Hit head on side of house while trying not to step in mud. No comfortable place to sit on outside deck. House was very old and creepy to me. Drove 7 hours back home next day. Stayed at hotel. Overnight

Quiet Retreat on Mobile Bay

My husband and I found this property to be aptly named, the Charming Bayfront Getaway. We are from Wisconsin and a vacation in balmy Fairhope was exactly what we needed to thaw out! The cottage is ideal and we were able to bring our two small dogs. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the utensils needed to cook just about any meal. The internet was fast. The boat house at the end of the pier was a perfect spot for morning meditation. We even saw a pod of dolphins swim past! I can definitely recommend this lovely cottage!

Wonderful stay on the bay!

We really enjoyed our stay, thank you to Beth! The house was in great shape and our kids really enjoyed the dock. It was great having a gate on the fenced in dock for added piece of mind with young kids. We’ll be back!

Beautiful sunrise and sunset

Great little place a few minutes south of Fairhope. The long pier lets you see a nice sunrise and the sunsets are spectacular over the bay. Well stocked with all the basics. Very clean and comfortable. Easy communications with the owner.

Relaxing week

Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay. The pier house was a great place to sit, relax and watch the porpoises and pelicans. Watching the sunsets was a plus! We hoe to return soon.

This is the perfect place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This quaint cottage is the perfect size for a couple or small family. You can enjoy the bounties of bay life with a pier, crab traps and a 25ft fenced and covered deck at the end of the pier. Enjoy glorious sunsets on our outdoor sofa. We also have a picnic table under the covered deck at the end of the pier and a charcoal grill on the deck near the house. There are two kayaks that are available for exploring the bay.

Our pets are part of our family and we are a pet friendly property. With that being said, our furry friends also leave behind evidence of their stay. Please keep in mind that not all guests will be bringing pets. Extra cleaning measures are required to properly clean and remove excess pet hair from the premises before the next guests arrive. There will be a fee to cover the time and expense involved with cleaning up after pets. We appreciate your understanding of this fee.
