Enjoy an Unobstructed view of the Gulf! B2913A

Stay at Palm Island Resort, located on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast, is the state’s only true-out island resort. No bridges or causeways to the island exsist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting. The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island. Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills at each pool area. 11 hard tennis courts available for play and always complimentary. Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas. Our full service concierge can also arrange for everything from massages to fishing charters. Join a complimentary water aerobics class, nature walk or yoga on the beach when scheduled. Whether you wish to spend your time with us on the go or taking it slow, you’re sure to enjoy your new Memories at the Speed of Old Florida.

So much to do and also "not do". Relaxing and slowing down is sometimes the best way to enjoy the island. We collected over 300 shark teeth! A great trip!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were desperate to find a sit on The SW FL coast for our annual family of 11 Memorial weekend get together, after Ian. Palm Island staff, newly back to work after the dreadful National Disaster, Hurricane Ian, bent over backwards to help us find 3 beach villas that were near each other! They even had golf carts and dockage for us! We were totally impressed. The only blight was the toilet in Beach Villa 2611 MASTER BEDROOM hardly flushed.

Only issue is cost of golf carts, which are needed if you want to get around a lot. Cost per night is pretty high as well.

Not Bad, but Could be Better

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Originally, we were brought to the wrong villa with someone living there. It took them quite awhile to pick us up and get us to the correct one. They didn't seem too concerned or made any reparations for this mistake. We didn't have much sunlight left and wasted over an hour that could've been spent on the beach. The beach was incredible and location perfect. The villa was ok, but a little dirty. Some of the dishes had some hardened food left on them, as well as some of the marketing literature. Again, not terrible, but just ok. Otherwise, great place for finding shells and relaxing. Pool was warm and top notch.

The only thing I would change would be to add 1 additional restaurant to the resort and put it on the beach. The restaurant that's there is very good, but having only 1 place to go for lunch and dinner on the resort gets a little old.

We have been going to the resort almost every year for the past 17 years. The staff are always pleasant. Some of the condos could use a little updating, but in general they are always very comfortable and meet our needs.
