Comfortable 2 BR! Gorgeous Villa with access to pool and beach B1511A

Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills.
Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary.
Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas.
A full service concierge can also arrange for everything from massages to fishing charters. Join a complimentary water aerobics class, nature walk or yoga on the beach when scheduled. Whether you wish to spend your time with us on the go or taking it slow, you’re sure to enjoy your new Memories at the Speed of Old Florida.

Very, very messy and short of eating utensils

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit had all kinds of junk underneath the building. For a day and a half no air conditioning. Three forks and two spoons in the unit (we had to borrow more utensils from unit upstairs). The exterior was totally embarrassing. We had invited new guests and were not ready for such a mess. We've been coming to Palm Island for 36 years and have never seen such neglect.

We sincerely apologize for the lack of air conditioning for a day and a half, the shortage of utensils, and the condition of the exterior and area underneath the building. Great setting in a pleasant Villa

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our Cruising Club came to Palm Island Resort in our boats for a two night visit. Everything worked out well, including the rooms, the restaurant, and the get together in the Club House on our last night. The only thing that could be improved is the service to and from the dock area for boaters. it would be nice to have a bellman on hand as the boats docked, to help tie them up and to handle the luggage trip to the check in area.A fabulous beach with an amazing number of shark's teeth to find in the sand. Maybe the best in Florida?

Private, quiet, and family friendly

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time staying at Palm Island Resort and our stay exceeded expectations! The villa itself is beautiful, welcoming, updated, and well maintained. We very comfortably stayed as a family of four in the unit. The beach was easily accessible and it was helpful that the path was clearly marked. We appreciated that the resort has a very family friendly atmosphere. There are things to do on the island aside from the beach including a playground, a pool, a gift shop, an ice cream bar, and a restaurant with a kid friendly menu. The entire staff, from guest services to the ferry deck hands, were polite, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We would definitely recommend Palm Island Resort to anyone looking for a private, quiet, and relaxing vacation stay!

Not as expected

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful property, amazing beach, well organized. Upon arrival, notified maintenance regarding cupboard pulling away from frame. Not repaired during our stay. Mismached glasses and flatware. Not enough glasses, required to wash each time. 3 bowls for 4 guests! Original reservation was for direct gulf front..resort changed reservation to pool view. Master bedroom king bed was so delapidated foam pieces had been placed in the lower areas to make the surface level. Certainly not what was expected for over 400.00 per night!

THe unit was not a top quality unit

Reviewer Comments: Main shower hardware was cheap and felt like the handle would break off at anytime.TV had only the 3 basic channels and resolution was 720pPots and pans looked like they had been purchased at the Goodwill.Golf cart was extremely slow.

Palm Island Switcharoo

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not a good experience this time. This was my 10th visit. My beach villa wasn't ready at check-in, and although I did arrive early and it was known I had been waiting. They did substitute another beach villa at the North end of the resort. It seemed as though it was the budget area with 30 kids running amuck and the (parents)were less than courteous. I think they stayed in the room above us. 2 Grills were inside the pool area with several people constantly waiting in line for use. Sun-up to midnight was total chaos all weekend. We love the beach and typically the atmosphere, but hated where they put us. Oh and it was a "superior" upgrade. Worst part is we had another 1st time couple with us. They were not impressed. Not sure I like where our favorite hideaway is headed.
