The view and the sunsets from the living room were amazingly beautiful. The living room furniture is very nice with beautiful leather comfortable seating. We also loved, and spent the most time, on the screened porch with a table that accommodated our group of eight, as well as the cool swivel chairs. The older part of the lodge has four smallish bedrooms with two Jack-and-Jill (shared) small bathrooms. Beds are comfortable. The newer addition is the star with kitchen, living room, dining area and a half bath on the main entry floor. The lower level has a large main bedroom and a decent size second bedroom. Both of these bedrooms have private toilet and sink (dbl sink in main) and share a Jack-and-Jill shower room. The neighborhood was quiet. The two unoccupied houses on either side made our stay quiet and private. The dock is easy to access and there's a close by public launch if you bring a boat. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Family Gathering

Quiet family retreat with better porch and outdoor hangout areas than most. Very good bedroom and bath setups for family gathering.

Great Property

Excellent view. Good setup for multiple families. Screened in porch with large dining table. Great outdoor spaces.

HORRIFIC! STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!

We arrived to house completely filled and overflowing everywhere with bugs, spiders crawling everywhere, and spider webs that attacked us as we walked through front door and down hallways, so house clearly hadn't been touched in quite awhile. Most of the "chandeliers" and the corners of the room had large webs. The master bedroom pillowcases and bedding had many large "wet-looking", "greasy" stains on the pillow cases and top of the comforter... it was disgusting. The plumbing ran outside of the walls, some of bathroom doors wouldn't shut unless you slammed into them with your shoulder, some walls literally would move if you leaned on them...!! We rent frequently and have never had such an awful home. The couch in the main area was stained in multiple places... It mostly looked good from pics, but up close was a nightmare and the spiders were unbelievable. It was all so ridiculous they could be allowed to rent to unsuspecting families. As we drove there, 5 min or so away there were multiple old mobile homes and many other run down properties everywhere, so it is in a very poor area. Just not at all what the pics suggest for the type of home and no where near worth the price per night. None of us felt safe to stay- we were all scared of being harmed by bugs in the night. We had nowhere else to stay last minute, so we ended up having to drive all the way back home at 11PM at night! Thankfully we found another property to move to the next day. Families please beware!!

Angie, I’m so sorry to hear about this experience. We didn’t hear from you at all during your stay. We would have been happy to fix any of your issues that were brought to our attention. Spiders are a very common pest for lakefront properties, and we had a wet summer which intensified the problem. This home receives monthly pest control, and sometimes more in the summer. Also, it’s not uncommon at the Lake of the Ozarks to have mobile homes and multi-million Dollar homes in the same area. Although I’m not exactly sure what homes you’re referring too. We drive by these houses all the time and I’ve never seen any homes that are offensive to the eye. Once again, sorry about your experience. I can assure you this home is in good condition and we’ll maintained by the homeowners.
