New Rental ! More Photos and information coming soon. Cozy pet friendly cottage, with 2 bedroom and 1 bath. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and queen sleeper sofa in living room. Within walking distance to Memorial Park and boat launch.

Pet friendly home. $75. (Per pet) will be added to your reservation. LINENS AND TOWELS PROVIDED

***This Property accepts Small and Medium Dogs Only***

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less, then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The Agent will retain a $39.00 processing charge, and any convenience fees charged. *Deposits are not refunded for ANY reason (including bad weather).

Salty Sailor, Perfect for a Pair and their Pet!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a comfortable stay at the Salty Sailor. The accommodations were as stated and beyond. The kitchen was fully equipped that a foodie would love! The house was at a great location and in a quiet neighborhood. The managers of the unit were wonderful and helpful. We are planning to return to this unit at another time.

Carter family vacation

We absolutely love the salty sailor beach house, upon arrival the place was very clean! Spacious and just made it feel like we walked in to our temporary home for the week! The stay was amazing! The yard was nice to relax in play football, the grill was clean everything was perfect !

Great Stay at the Salty Sailor

The Salty Sailor was an excellent, affordable, and pet friendly rental. Nice location on ridge rd next to Mr Baldys which is a must to try if you stay here. The rooms are a bit older but maintained well. I didn’t experience any of the conditions that were listed in the other reviews here. We would certainly stay here again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not very clean. Ants all over kitchen counter and bathroom vanity and walls. Neely fell because of step down in hallway not markedSTEP DOWN. AC in bedroom so high up the wall couldn’t reach it. Needs some repairs for sure. But on the bright side it was next to Mr Baldys excellent restaurant

Cute little house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is cute, perfect size for the two of us, but it smelled terribly like a musty basement. The smell was so strong it was almost unbearable. Also the furniture needs cleaning and/or replacing, especially the couches and the beds.

Convenient, but VERY dirty

The property is all one floor which is nice. Kitchen was adequate. Quiet. Sadly though it was extremely dirty. I don’t think anyone has mopped the floors in a long time. The vacuum cleaner was either broken or needed some maintenance, could not effectively clean as requested at end of stay. There is a broom but was also in bad shape. Realize this is a very budget friendly with no bells and whistles but that shouldn’t preclude a little cleanliness..

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is unkept and dirty. It is in need of many repairs. It is outdated and lacking simple things you'd just plain expect to be there. Grass was 10" tall. We had to trim thorn bushes away from the front door ourselves to prevent being scratched when entering/exiting. Parking is terrible as the driveway is very narrow. I could fit my truck in it but then would hit my doors on the house and fence. Holes in walls. Both bed frames broken. Side storm door falling off. Old very dirty window air conditioning. Very very dirty. Dog hair everywhere. Remotes, blinds, furniture, doors, and trim chewed by dogs. Musty odor in master bedroom. Trash in yard. Sewage smell by outdoor shower. Microwave vent broken off. No door closers on side door. Slow wifi which is the only way to watch TV so that only worked part of the time. Etc, etc, etc...I DID contact harbour rentals. They offered to move us but what they had available would not work for my wife and son sleeping wise and I refused to sleep on a pull out couch while on vacation with a total of 3 people. They should have discounted or refunded part of our stay but did not even offer.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was in a good location. The property description was conflicting occasionally with what we found. Certain parts of the property were satisfactory, clean, and maintained. Others were not. Things such as AC unit and fans were very dirty. There was old dog food and Cheetos on the pull out bed which was unfortunate. Overall several things in regards to cleanliness and maintenance made us feel as though we were taken advantage of in regards to the cost versus what we got. The customer service was okay. If the price was lower, I may recommend this property but probably not as it is. We always enjoy all Chincoteague has to offer. Despite a few things not being ideal, the salty sailor gave us the ability to enjoy Chincoteague.

Reviewer Comments: Our stay on the island was good, but July was a bit too busy for us.The house wasn't bad, but in need of some tlc.The location was central busy with cars, people, etc. The tub and floors were dirty. The outside garbage can was disgusting. Remember the next people to rent the property might be you.Please leave the rental clean. The property wasn't horrible but mostly too busy for our quiet nature. I would recommend to someone not adverse to traffic, cars, bikes, foot. The house was quaint and served two people well in setup. Hopefully the next renters won't find it dirty.
