Stunning Radford lake house on Claytor Lake

If you and your family are looking for a fun lake getaway - this is the place! Easy to get to on paved road and is only 5 minutes from I-81 (30 minutes to Virginia Tech and 15 minutes to Radford University). This 4 bedroom 2.5 bathroom lake house will meet all of your needs when staying with family and friends - spacious deck, dock for swimming and fishing, paddle board/kayak, easy access to rent a boat/jet ski and plenty of space for outdoor fun with family and friends! Perfect location on the lake with little traffic so swimming is easy!

Very close to a local marina and state park for boat and jet ski rentals. Details can be provided.

House has everything you will need from pots and pans, baking dishes, crock pot, drip coffee maker, Tupperware, cups, bowls, silverware, plates, children plates, bowls, silverware and cups and many other amenities. We stay at our lake house often so it has everything you should need to enjoy a great time on a lake.

Wi-Fi provided and streaming available on tvs. All bed linens and bath towels provided. Lake/beach towels are available if you need them. We have a few lake floats but we do not provide life jackets. Our home does NOT allow pets!

Please watch all children at all times while near the lake or on the lake dock. Do not lean lake side deck and watch children at all times.

Beautiful, well maintained property. An absolute gem. We have stayed in many home rentals over the years and this was by far the most attention any owner has ever done with respect to details. We had an absolute blast on Claytor Lake.

Very kind and gracious host who made us feel very welcome. The place was cozy and very clean, which helped with a stressful move. We watched a sailboat on the water and saw lots of deer. The host thought of everything to make us comfortable. Lovely place and I wish we could have stayed longer!

This is a great house for a lake/mountain get away. The house is well furnished and has a well-supplied kitchen. You can easily fit 4 couples, which is what we did. The house has a dock and is in a quite part of the lake.We all enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay at this absolutely stunning lake house! Beautiful, spacious and clean with such gorgeous views of Claytor Lake. This lake house is well stocked with essentials along with many thoughtful extras.So peaceful and private, relaxing on the waterfront deck became a favorite for us all.

3 Generation Getaway

This was the perfect setting for our group of adults ranging from 20s to 80s. The view can’t be beat and the recently upgraded dock was perfect for our rented pontoon boat. The depth was great for all kinds of activities or just cooling off and the calm water in the cove was great for taking the paddle boards out. This was our second time staying in this beautiful home and we would definitely do so again. If you need it - the hosts have thought of it!

Random Wednesday Metallica Concert

In a hasty decision sometime last year or maybe even in January, a group of us middle aged type guys decided it would a great idea to go to Metallica show in Blacksburg VA on a Wednesday. None of us live nearby and I am in California. Long story short, tickets in hand and flights planned we realized we needed a place. I chose this house for a variety of reasons. Affordability, guest capacity (6 guys need 6 beds), location, amenities, and ratings/reviews. Number one, this property was in my price range while affording each guest a bed (number two). Sure one room has a bunk and a larger bed but it was a big room. The other rooms are spacious and well decorated and inviting. Very much a beach/lake house vibe. Plenty of bathrooms and room to spread out inside. TVs for those who watch as well as Internet access, chargers and adapters everywhere. Kitchen was well appointed and has good quality cookware and accessories. Knives were sharp and clean. Accessible dock and lake toys (kayak and paddleboard) with functional firepit and also corn hole set. Also games and toys for kids but we had none with us. Deck was huge and had a fantastic view of lake and dock which leads to number three location. Perfectly situated near the Interstate, access and exit is a breeze. Be careful if you have a wide trailer as the road is narrow at end.

Family weekend getaway

This place had everything we could ask for! It was a beautiful view, the cleanest house ive ever seen, and the owners left everything you could need. I would absolutely book this place again and home to soon

Nice House / Location

This house is in a good location to both Radford and Blacksburg. The host left a bottle of wine, snacks, and a bag of ground coffee which was appreciated. There is a great view of the lake and the sunsets were pretty stunning.

VT Parents/Alum reunion

This home has beautiful views of the water on a quiet cove. The deck space is perfect for relaxing and watching wildlife. The beds are comfortable and everything we needed was available, including some thoughtful extras left by the host. We were pleased to learn that the home is powered by a whole-house generator that cut on automatically when a downed line nearby led to an unexpected power outage. Alicia was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed, including plenty of propane to run the generator for days had it been necessary (it was not). I would definitely stay in this home again, given the opportunity.

Beautiful lake home

The home was very nicely maintained - clean, modern, and comfortable! Plus a ton of amenities, large kitchen & living area, and wonderful master suite. Host went above & beyond!! Beautiful lake views from both inside & outside and great lake access with use of water toys. Highly recommend!

Celebrating my daughter’s MBA graduation from Radford University

We had a most wonderful lake stay at this amazing property. Boating, fishing and hanging on the deck with the marvelous views created lifetime memories. The additional amenities were numerous and most appreciated. I would recommend this listing in a heartbeat. A true thank you to our gracious host Alicia!! This is really a 10 out of a 5 rating!

Amazing lake home

We had a wonderful stay at this lakefront home. Everything was exactly as described if not better! There were so many extra touches that made it even more special. It was so well stocked with everything you needed too. The sheets and bedding were so soft and cozy. It was the perfect place to stay while visiting for Radford Family Weekend. We got to enjoy kayaking and swimming in the lake. We made s’mores in the fire pit. Grilled on the deck and enjoyed a family meal around the dining room table. We enjoyed this home so much we can’t wait to be able to do it again!

Fabulous Labor Day weekend

Fabulous location! Quiet beautiful location on the lake. Kayak, paddle board and floats provided as well as little extras in the house like welcome wine, beer and snacks. Easy drive to VT football game. The only negative was the WiFi was weak and spotty.

Cousin's Connection

This was a get away for GrandBob and my two adult sons and their 3 10 year old children to spend a long weekend on the lake. A chance for fathers and kids who live several hours apart to spend quality time fishing, swjimming, playing games and cooking memerable meals together. It was a great location with reasonable travel from 3 locations try have a ton 9f fun making lasting memories. Super accommodations with everything we needed. Many thanks to our host Alicia for making it very special!

Great long weekend

This is a very nice house on the lake. It is clean and comfortable. The owners want your stay to be special with nice touches like big soft towels, comfy beds, pancake mix with real maple syrup, and great coffee. The AC works well and sleeping was comfortable. The dock is a good size with an island about 50 yds away from the dock and keeps the water calm. The paddle board and kayak were fun. There are lots of steps down to the lake, which we expected and I don’t mind, but others may find this info useful. Overall, it’s a great place on the lake and I recommend this as a casual well appointed stay.

Fantastic Stay!

Wonderful time. Some friends and family stayed to enjoy the lake. The house was fantastic, the view, deck, and the amenities were excellent. The property owner was very nice and had great communication. The complementary wine and cinnamon rolls were a very nice touch! My family has a boat at Claytor and we were able to moor the boat with no problems. The state park is close by for refueling. A wonderful stay, we highly recommend it!
