Welcome to the Carefree Cabin! You will be close to everything during your stay in our recently remodeled cabin. Located on a peaceful, wooded street, the house is only a 5 minute walk to the The Village including eateries, a grocery store, coffee, ice cream, shops, family activities, and canoe/tube/SUP/bike/ski rentals.

The Space:
The Carefree Cabin is located just a 5 minute walk from the The Village, and only a 5 minute drive to the SHARC.

15 minutes to the High Desert Museum
20 minutes to Lava Butte and the Lava River Cave
20 minutes to Newberry National Volcanic Monument
22 minutes to downtown Bend

150 minutes to Crater Lake

We welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs with a $100 non-refundable fee. Please declare dogs you intend to bring at the time of booking. Guests must clean up after their pets at all times, and be able to keep pets off of furniture. Please do not leave your pet unattended if you have any suspicion he/she will chew/destruct/potty indoors in your absence.

The cabin can accommodate a maximum of 8 guests at any given time.

The Carefree Cabin is a two level cabin with vaulted wood ceilings and large skylights. It has an open floor plan with a modern kitchen w/attached dining room, and an inviting living room with a gas fireplace and hearth. It’s a great home for guests of all ages and stages.

Here you will find everything you will need for a relaxing & comfortable stay. The cabin boasts new mattresses and linens, fluffy bath and hot tub towels, a stocked kitchen with stainless appliances, cooking spices, automatic drip coffee maker, coffee grinder, French press, electric hot water kettle, salad spinner, colanders, pots/pans, baking sheets, blender, toaster, wine glasses, and children’s dinnerware.

After a fun day of play, enjoy an evening under the stars in the hot tub. The Carefree Cabin has 3 large flat screen TVs - each with its own Chromecast plus high speed wifi for your streaming & video-call enjoyment. Enjoy a selection of board games for the entire family.

Working remotely? The Queen bedroom has a built-in desk with a chair that is perfect for you and your laptop.

For the little ones, there are 2 retractable safety gates available, a Pack'n'Play, a high chair, an infant/toddler tub, an Osprey baby hiking backpack, a BOB jogger stroller, an anti-slip tub mat, baby soap, along with books, games, toys, and kid sized dinnerware. Children will delight in a magical teepee fort found in the corner of one of the bedrooms.

The Carefree Cabin has air conditioning, heating, and a gas fireplace.

Guest Access:
Guests may access all rooms/deck, and may use the garage for storage of non-vehicle items such as luggage, ski's, tubes, bikes, etc.

All reservations at the Carefree Cabin include 8 SHARC passes for use from 4pm on check-in day through 11am on check-out day. Lost passes must be replaced by guest.
The driveway can accommodate approximately 3 cars which must fit entirely on the pavement. RVs, boats, trailers, snowmobiles, etc (any non-passenger vehicle) can be kept in the driveway for up to 48 hrs max. This is an HOA rule that is enforced strictly. For storage needs beyond 48 hrs, there is nearby storage lot with spaces for short term use for a fee-per-day. Inquire with host.

The Neighborhood:
The Carefree Cabin provides quick access to skiing, golfing, hiking, fishing, swimming, & exploring in Central Oregon. It is a 5 minute drive from the SHARC (Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center) where you can enjoy heated indoor and outdoor water recreation areas seasonally (please go online to check operating hours/dates!) that include a lazy river w/inner tubes, baby pools, water slides, a grassy hill with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and a cafe. Additional seasonal amenities include Pickleball and Tennis courts, a private boat launch, and disc golf. All of these activities are accessible using the cabin's 8 SHARC passes. Additionally guests can easily access tube, canoe, SUP, kayak (and other) rentals for use in the Deschutes river right in Sunriver!

Getting Around:
While there is lots to explore on foot or by bike within Sunriver, you will benefit from a car to get around and discover all there is to see in this beautiful part of Oregon!

Other Things to Note:
It is very important to us that you enjoy your stay and we welcome the opportunity to improve our guests experience. We take all feedback seriously and appreciate your sharing it with us!

We kindly ask that you mention if you are bringing a dog, and add the dog/s to your reservation. There is a $100 one time fee for up to 2 dogs per stay.

No underage alcohol, smoking, or illegal substance possession or use permitted on site.

Please note the following, per the Sunriver HOA rules:

-No parties are allowed
-Boats/RVs/trailers, etc. may only be stored in the cabin driveway for up to a 48 hrs maximum (strictly enforced by the HOA). For storage needs greater than 48 hrs, guests may apply/pay for a special permit for local Sunriver storage. -Sunriver paved trails are intended for non-motorized bicycles and pedestrian use only (i.e. skates, skateboards, scooters, etc. are not permitted).

Please respect other guests and residents, wildlife, and all natural areas.

As your hosts, we are available to communicate 24/7, however we kindly ask that you contact us between 8am-8pm unless there is an urgent need.
