Surf Song #118 - Enjoy this wonderful 2 bedroom, 2 bath poolside condo in sought after Madeira Beach. Nicely furnished and decorated, this ground floor property is literally just steps to the refreshing, heated swimming pool, BBQ facility and lounging area. Of course, the popular beaches are just a short walk away, as is John's Pass Village. Free Wifi. Please note there is no phone in this condo. You will be required to sign a rental agreement with SunHost Resorts prior to a reservation being confirmed.

The spacious open floor plan includes a welcoming living area with flat screened TV. The updated kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and comes fully stocked with utensils for all of your cooking needs. Off the living room is the master bedroom complete with queen sized bed and an attached, spotless, bathroom with walk in shower. The guestroom has twin beds with a sofa bed in the living room for extra guests. Linens for all beds, extra pillows & sufficient towels for provided for your stay.

When staying in a SunHost unit you will also have access to 7 day a week office staff, office services (copy, print boarding passes etc.) We also have maintenance available 7 days a week if you experience any issues at the property and an after hours emergency on call person.

Another added attraction? You are located across the street from John's Pass Village. The Pass is a quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village and Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. The Village has over one hundred unique shops, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. Best of all as a SunHost customer you can walk to this great entertainment destination.

Madeira Beach is a sought after community, just west of St. Petersburg. Its 2.5 mile beach is popular with sun lovers and offers some of the best fishing in the area. This beautiful Gulf getaway, has something for everyone, including, water sports along some of the most beautiful crystal clear waters in the world.

Nearest airports are Tampa International Airport at just over 20 miles and St. Petersburg Clearwater International at 10 miles away.

Summer get away

Summer 2023 vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming down for years now. Stay at Surf Song 99.9% of the time. This year was a bit different from most. The property itself didn't seem as tidy as usual. (Pool dirty, sand not getting cleaned up, tables needing painted, etc...) Our room was the usual, except for some dirty dishes that were put away. I was also shocked when I went to book for next year and find the price had went up by $1100.

I LOVE the location both and the beach and how close it is to the pier. It can not be beat! however this year I felt like my kids were not welcome. There were several both patrons and staff members that were rude to my kids. I was very disappointed and will rethink this location for next years trip.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Surf song for 30 years. Recently, the general upkeep and cleanliness of the property, pool and condos has deteriorated. We have been attributing this to the pandemic, but apparently this is not the case. I must say, toward the end of our stay in #118, a new maintenance employee was hired and he was wonderful. I noticed him scrubbing the grills every morning! He sweeps the pool and patio area daily and was even noticed scrubbing the hand rails. It is my hope that dedication will inspire the condo owners to do some deep cleaning, (shower curtains are not expensive and should be replaced monthly) and updating of furniture, mattresses, pillows😝 etc. so that Surf song could be returned to the fabulous resort it once was and worthy of recommendation to friends.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love the Surf Song as you all know. We have spent the last 32 christmas vacation there. We would like to see some improvements to our unit. We have had the same bedroom furniture for all 32 years. It's time for a change. We try to respect our unit but we realize that not all renters respect the furnishings. The end tables and table light are old as well. We do suggest not to put glass tables in any unit. I know that the living area was painted a couple years ago but it is not a good choice. I wish the owner would inventory the kitchen a couple times of year. I have purchased a lot of the items in the cupboards. The toaster and mixer are old and need to be replaced. Plastic glasses for patio area would be appreciated. Baking dishes and/or serving dishes. We always look forward to our month in Florida with our Florida family and are looking forward to December 2023.Thank youThe Treesh family

Our room was very comfortable and easily accommodated our family of 4. Surf Song is convenient to shopping and restaurants (Board Walk Grill in John’s Pass in John’s Pass is one of our favorites. Surf Song is a great family friendly resort that’s right on the beautiful Gulf beaches of Madeira.

Perfect location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pictures a little misleading. The condo needs updating if you care about that sort of thing. However, and more importantly, it was very very clean. It's roughly 20-30 yards from our door to the water! The pool is lovely, clean and well-cared for. The landscaping is very nice. They keep the whole property in good shape. Felt very safe there. Just across the street from John's Pass, which was really nice, didn't need to drive. If you want to rent a beach umbrella and chairs, do it in advance. Already thinking about our next stay!

Reviewer Comments: I have been staying with sunhost resort for over 20 years, majority of the time at the surf song. I have stayed in several of the rooms including room 118 before. I am sad to say that the facility is not like it use to be. Starting with the cleanliness of the room. You can tell no deep cleaning was done on the unit. Countertops still had sand on them. Walls were dirty. The furniture, besides the couches, were all old, with malfunctioning dressers and I know this because it was the same furniture in the room from when I or family members stayed in it years ago. The master headboard wasn’t even attached to the bed. The twin bed headboard were extremely wobbly. When I pulled out the pull out bed of the couch, the white sheets had stains all over it. I don’t know if it was ever washed. We stayed at beach place last year and I am sad to say it was also very dirty. After 20 plus years, I am sad to say this will be my family’s last year staying with sunhost. For the price of the room, rooms need updated and cleaned better.
