Another fabulous Lake house weekend . This is our third year staying here . Such a great family vacation . We love gathering on the porch after a fun water day . Beach provides great fun for the kids . This home set up is great ! We can’t wait to schedule our next visit !

Our stay at The Lake Effect was just as described! Garrison was very informative and we had no issues at all during our stay! We will definitely be back for another stay!

This house was plenty big for 2 families. Every room was newly remodeled and beautiful . Due to weather we didn't get a chance to use outdoor space , That was beautiful as well. we were there to visit family in the villages and that was 25 min drive.

Relaxing & Beautiful

Enjoyed the home- very comfortable and the porch is extra special place to gather and enjoy the most amazing sunsets. We cooked, we visited local establishments and we enjoyed the lake. It was the perfect place for our time in Ocala.

Family getaway at the lake

Great trip! The remodeled house is very nice, modern, and clean. The screened porch is the perfect way to relax with no pesky bugs! The white sandy beach area is gorgeous and they even rake it with a tractor to keep it in pristine shape! Enjoyed boating to the two restaurants on the water! Loved everything about our week stay! It was perfect for my parents and teens to enjoy! Will definitely go back!

We enjoyed the house and the lake views . House is well maintained. Plenty of space to sit and relax both inside and outside Will stay here again. Only 20 min from the villages where we did a lot of activities

Amazing getaway

Had the BEST time vacationing at this beautiful lake house. My friends & I went for a relaxing girls trips and had so much fun we never left the property. The hosts were fantastic and very quick to respond when I reached out. The decor was great and the home was super cozy. Huge backyard with an open and enclosed porch area to use. Would definitely like to visit again!

This is our second year staying at this home . Absolutely the best . The porch is so nice to watch the beautiful sunsets ! Everything was perfect . Very clean . Nice beachfront for the grands to play .Garrison , our host was the best ! Great communication and very prompt with any questions I had . We will be back next summer! Highly recommended!

Beautiful Lake views!

This tranquil property has it all for our group! Beautiful outdoor space for children to play in the sand and water’s edge. Comfortable seating to enjoy the views of the Lake and hear the loons call out. The oaks provided shade as we watched the squirrels play. We were here for a short time but well worth the relaxation we felt! We will be back.

Beautiful Views

The property was just as described. Great layout for our family and the screened porch was the best. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset over the lake. Beds were very comfortable. Parking was the only negative as there was no way to turn around and we had to keep moving cars and backed out down a long driveway. Otherwise, we would definitely rent this home again!

Great Long Weekend At Lake Weir

My family and I (hubby and two kiddos) and our best friends and their two kiddos stayed comfortably the Lake Effect on Lake Weir to close out the summer vacation! The renovations were so great, house was clean and the space was used very efficiently :) There was so much seating and the screened in porch was beautiful - also a great zero entry beach access. The appliances in the kitchen were also new and great to use! Would absolutley stay here again. Also, rented a boat from Eaton’s Aquatics and the new manager was excellent - great customer service and would also rent from them again.

A wonderful family home vacation

We live only 25 min away and were looking for a nice long weekend for family . It was perfect . Screened porch was great so the kids couldn’t wander to the water . The beach has nice white sand and the water is clean and fresh . The house was great and welll equipped . Highly recommended for a family ! Parking was great and we were able to anchor our jet skis and boat . Everyone lived it . We will be back

Breathtaking views!

This house was such a pleasant experience. The views from the back deck over looking the water were so peaceful and relaxing. We were in town for work so there wasn’t much personal time. If we had had more time we would have enjoyed the lake access and the personal beach much more. The home owner was super helpful and was always available for any questions or concerns that came up. I would totally recommend this property! Thank you so much Garrison for a wonderful stay!

Fantastic Stay

This was our 2nd time renting Lake Effect in the past 5 months. Unfortunately, not for happy reasons as we lost our 98 year old Father on Christmas Day. We rented 1st in January while we were in FL for his Memorial Service and again this past month as we came back to visit his friends and memorialize him one last time. January we enjoyed the porch some but this last trip, we enjoyed wading in the water and sharing stories and memories of our lives on the porch from sunup to sundown. Beautiful home and spacious enough for 6 adults. Will definitely rent again. Highly recommend!!!

Relaxing Family Vacation

We had a great time for our recent stay. The house was clean and everything wished it to be. I was caught of guard the owner asked several questions after requesting to book, but I understand from their perspective that this is their home and they want it taken care of. Everything worked out and we had plenty of room, I was just taken by surprise that after requesting to book they asked several questions such as who would be staying over night & their age. It was a relaxing family vacation for us, we brought our boats that we beached so we spent a lot of time out on the water. The lake itself was beautiful but there was a red tint to the water. Some days it was worse than others, the water almost looked like a red irony color. I was worried it may stain our bathing suits but we didn't have any issues. We loved that this house had a beach like shore that our small kids could play at and the water wasn't very deep even as you went further out so we appreciated that for peace of mind. The owner was very responsive and we never had any issues that we had to contact them for. The second story does get a little bit warm but if you can keep the temp down that helps. The parking was a little bit tight, but we also had several vehicles and two boat trailers. The neighbors next door was super nice and actually told my husband he could park his boat trailer on their property. We spoke to them several times throughout the weekend and enjoyed them as neighbors. It was a good experience.
