Spectacular Main Lake Views! Private Beach! Outdoor living right on the lake! Relaxation and Adventure Await. Round House Retreat on Lake Gaston is ideally located to get you away from it all while only minutes from shopping and dining. Located on the main lake but with the privacy and protection of a cove, our home offers you a sandy beach, safe swimming from the beach or off the dock with sunset views that will stay with you for years to come. The home features 4 bedrooms and 4 baths which comfortably sleep 10. There is a living room, dining area, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms upstairs. Pool table/ping pong, sitting area, wet bar 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms downstairs. Wrap around deck on the upper level and huge multi-level patio with outdoor kitchen, fire pit and outdoor shower off of the lower level. Because of the round house shape there are many windows for enjoying the beautiful views. This rental is ideal for two families and the sandy beach is perfect for launching paddle boards/kayaks or sitting with kids and playing in the sand. The fire pit area is a great place to gather with string lights in the trees for evening enjoyment.

Family vacation

Our stay at the round house went well. The check in was very easy, the property is very well stocked (inside &outside), and the rooms and bathrooms worked out great.

Great get away

We loved our get away to Lake Gaston. The location of the house was perfect. It's close to Food Lion. We enjoyed the beach and rented a boat. The outdoor kitchen was fantastic.

Perfect Lake Getaway!

The home was clean and the set up was perfect! The communication with the host was impeccable! We will definitely be re-booking this home for all of our Lake Gaston visits!

Great stay

Wonderful property and hosts! Would definitely recommend! Beach was great for the kids, house was spacious which was good due to rainy week. Had games for kids and plenty of baby/kid proof things. Blackstone was great and fire pit. Would 10/10 recommend.

Labor Day Getaway

We had a wonderful experience from sart to finish! Great communication from the owners, the round house (so fun!) is clean and well appointed with tons of toys and games for the kids. The decks and dock offer amazing views and lounge spaces. The location is fabulous - very close to restaurants, Food Lion and the marina. The weather was just beautiful. We will try to make it back next year :)

Wonderful Stay!

We enjoyed a long weekend at the Round House with our family (little kiddos, dog & adults)! The house was extremely clean and the setup was perfect for our 5yo, 3yo, and 1yo kids. We loved floating in the beach/cove area, enjoyed dinner on the patio and even had our first try at pancakes on the Blackstone with a view! We rented a boat, which was easy to dock at the Round House ~ our lake cruise consisted of a trip to Goat Island - nice spot to anchor and enjoy lunch for the afternoon. Such a great weekend. Owners were wonderful and it was evident they cared deeply for their home (which we very much appreciated as guests who share the same values). We can’t wait to return! Highly recommend this property.

The roundhouse retreat 10/10

If you like margaritas and sunsets this is the house for you. This house was absolutely amazing! It was everything we could’ve asked for and more! The sunsets were beautiful every night, with such a great location. They had a great patio area, with an outdoor kitchen and smokeless fire pit. The inside kitchen was great too, especially if you love to cook! The pool table downstairs was a very fun area to go to after a long day at the lake. The double dock was great for fishing, swimming and laying out. The hosts were very tentative when we had questions and were very nice! This is a house we will definitely stay in again.

Great family vacation!

We had a fabulous time staying at the Roundhouse! This was our first time at Lake Gaston and the owners were very helpful. Communication with the owners was fabulous from the start! The house was perfect for our family inside as well as outside! The beach was perfect for our littles to play in the water and to build sandcastles. The boathouse roof was our favorite spot to watch the sunsets from. The view from the outside kitchen makes cooking truly enjoyable. The inside was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. The owners have taken much thought into providing all of the creature comforts for their guests and it was very much appreciated! They even had freezer pops ready for the kids upon our arrival! Only bad part of our vacation was leaving! We are really looking forward to returning!

Memorial Day weekend

My family of seven adults and two toddlers spent the weekend at this beautiful property. The home fit us perfectly. There was plenty of room to spread out with four large bedrooms and four full baths. The kitchen was fully stocked with all appliances, plenty of glasses, dishes and cutlery. There were nice linens as well. And everything was so clean! We never left the property after we arrived. (We didn’t need to) Unfortunately, we had bad weather the entire weekend: cool, rainy, misty and overcast. So we were not able to enjoy the outdoors like we wanted. The sandy beach, the fire pit, and outdoor kitchen, the slate patio, the dock, kayaks, paddle board, the lighting - all looked fabulous. We still had a wonderful weekend - we cooked, we ate, we laughed ourselves silly playing games in the evenings. The owners provided lots of information about the property and were easy to contact if needed. We have absolutely no complaints about this property and would definitely rent again!

Best Family Vacation!

We had an amazing time and the house lived up to it’s name! Check in was a smooth process. They had a helpful book with details about the house and the area. The house was fully stocked with towels, cleaning supplies, spices, dishes & flatware, large capacity washer & dryer, and pretty much anything you’d need. The grocery store was very close. Everything was clean and organized inside and out. The views of the lake were spectacular. The newly back hardscape and landscape was fantastic. We had a choice of either using a gas grill or an Acorn charcoal grill/smoker. There was also a Breeo smokeless fire pit that we cooked s’mores on. We enjoyed family meals, had a lot of laughs, smiles, played games (they had tons of games!), played pool, and explored the lake in a rental boat. We also were able to bring our family dogs. They were so accommodating with providing dog bowls on each level of the house. The neighbors were extremely friendly too. The last night of the vacation my children told me that the week went way to fast. That is definitely a sign of a great vacation!! We will be back in the near future for sure.

We chose this neighborhood because of the family atmosphere, AMAZING sunset and lake views all year, the proximity to Raleigh and the ability to do several water sports in one day if we want!!

Our property is unique first of all because of the ROUND HOUSE SHAPE! Have you ever stayed in a round house? You can see the lake upstairs and downstairs from many windows. The outdoor patio with outdoor kitchen, dining for 10, fire pit, string lights and eye-catching views and sunsets will make you never want to eat inside again! Also we made an area we call HAMMOCK HILL which has a double hammock hanging there waiting for you and your honey to relax and take in the views. Also, our PERSONAL BEACH is grandfathered into the property so new home builds cannot have this feature.
