Surf Dweller 603 - Swaying Palms!
FREE PARKING AND FREE WIFI!!! You will absolutely love staying in this large 2 bedroom condo! There is so much space, you will love it and the views from the 6th floor are just unforgettable. The master bedroom is on the beach side with access to the huge beach front balcony. The second bedroom features TWO QUEEN SIZE BEDS and there is still lots of space! The kitchen looks AMAZING - cabinets, counter tops and lots of space! You will love preparing a meal in this beach front beauty. The master bath was updated with a walk-in shower. The oversized 6th floor gulf front balcony features access from the living room and master bedroom. The condo features LARGE FLAT SCREEN TVS throughout! A 57" TV in the living room and 38" TVs in both bedrooms! a KEURIG coffee maker is a new addition to this beautiful condo as well.

The sleeping arrangements in this unit are as follows: master bedroom - 1 king bed, 2nd bedroom - 2 queen beds. Sleeper sofa in the living room This unit sleeps 8.

Beds were comfortable. It was very quiet and the view was beautiful. Lots of living room seating. Plenty of toiletries and towels to start off. I would stay there again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have styed in this condo for the last 3 years. It is showing wear. The A/C needs attention, the bedrooms start out hot at night and take several hours to cool down to a comfortable temperature. The dishwasher doesn’t clean well and could stand to be replaced. Also the walls need some touchup paint.

Ft Walton Vacation

Good location and reasonable crowd on the beach. Easy to find, and parking at the facility was good and safe. Only non working thing there was the clothes iron lol.

We spent a week at Surf Dweller 603 but will not return to this unit. First, the pros: The beach was fantastic, and the chair-and-umbrella service was a nice touch. The direct ocean view from the balcony was beautiful, and in August the balcony stayed shaded all day, which felt like a small miracle in the dog days of summer. The condo itself is roomy and the beds are comfortable. Brooks and Shorey was easy to work with and very responsive. When the AC went out, maintenance showed up in less than 30 minutes - gold star service!Now the cons: this unit had a strong musty/sour milk smell. We, along with all our clothes went home with that smell clinging to us. The vents looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since the condo was built. There were also some obvious signs that the condo had taken a few hits along the way — a hole in the wall, a big one in the bedroom door, and purposely cut out one with cables protruding from it. Most of the electrical sockets were so loose the plug fell out. That’s less “vacation rental” and more “electrical roulette,” and definitely a fire hazard. The dining room furniture was stained and the two living room chairs are definitely ready for retirement. The elevators are not for the claustrophobic as they are very hot. Normally, I would choose the stairs, but they were enclosed and equally as hot. In short: I love Brooks and Shorey, and I love the Surf Dweller, just not this particular condo.

That said, we’re very sorry that the condition of the unit affected your overall experience. The musty odor, unclean vents, damaged areas, stained furniture, and loose electrical outlets you described are certainly not the standard we want for our guests. We take concerns regarding electrical safety particularly seriously, and we will be sure to share these items with the appropriate team for inspection and follow-up. We also understand your frustration with the condition and temperature of the building’s elevators and stairwells. While some aspects of the building are outside the control of the individual unit, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We’re grateful that, despite the issues with this particular condo, you still had positive things to say about Brooks and Shorey and the Surf Dweller property overall. Your feedback is valuable, and we hope we’ll have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in a different unit on a future visit.

Great Condo

This was a great condo. Pictures were exactly the way the condo looked. Very easy to get on the beach. No problem getting chairs for the beach. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots/pans and serving dishes. Would definitely stay at this condo again.

Great room, stiff bed

We always stay at Surf Dweller and have nothing but great things to say about the resort. The rooms here are so spacious that we always feel at home. One issue with this room was the master bed was super firm. It felt like we were sleeping on the floor. But overall it was a lovely week here!
