Charming Fire Island Home - Seaview

Come enjoy the sea and the special atmosphere of Fire Island at this lovely family home in Seaview. The house has 4 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. The kitchen and both baths were entirely rebuilt two years ago with brand new fixtures and appliances everywhere; a laundry area was also added with new washer/dryer. There's a large deck (also new) with deck furniture, gas grill, and a beautiful outdoor shower. The dining room and 'triple bedroom' have pocket windows on three sides. Each bedroom has a (new) ceiling fan, as does the living room and kitchen; the 'twin bed' has a window A/C. Satellite TV, Internet, and a PC are included. The house is on a double lot with lots of native shrubbery for privacy and bird watching.

Seaview is a family community. From the house it's an easy stroll to the beach, the bay, or to shops and restaurants in Ocean Beach. Wonderful for children (no cars on Fire Island!) or for a relaxed vacation for adults.

Great Place

Lovely house, somewhat ramshackle, well situated to beach, town, and nearby market. Not for people looking for new construction—it’s a well lived, charming home. We hope to return. Kitchen is very well appointed!

A delightful stay in a great location

We had a great week here! There is nice deck with plenty of seating and privacy to enjoy the perfect weather we had. The house is in a perfect location - a short walk to either the Ocean Beach or Seaview ferries and the beach, but far enough from town not to be bothered by the noise at night. It was our second time at this house and won’t be our last!

Lovely visit to Seaview

We’ll equipped beach cottage with everything we needed, (except enough dinner plates). Bikes, beach chairs, wagon, linens and towels. Screened windows. Overhead fans, comfortable beds, charming environment with great kitchen. Thanks for everything.

Seaview

Great rental for my family. The homes location was ideal as the kids were close to OB town but we were still a part of the quiet side of Seaview.The home was larger than we expected and the deck was secluded yet perfect for hanging out with friends. Steve was attentive to all our needs. Hope to come back again soon.

We had a lovely time in a lovely house

The house is really big and comfortable and has great books and good bikes (one was pretty rickety, but 3 were awesome). The instructions were really clear and everything was where it was supposed to be. It's a great house.

Perfect house

Location for this house is perfect. Short walk to the beach, ocean beach bars, sea view market and ferry. The house is surrounded by bushes which is great for privacy on the deck. The house well maintained and stocked with everything you need. Will definitely be back!

Peaceful retreat with all the comforts of hime

Extremely private and peaceful Seavirw property, situated ideally close to main town of ocean beach. Beach only 2 blocks! Grocery stores, restaurants and ferry all less than a 5 min walk. The kitchen and baths are wonderful and practically brand new. Beds super comfy. The hosts were extremely accommodating. We had a wonderful stay! Thank you!

Charming and Perfect

The location and privacy of this home are really fantastic. Close to seaview market / ferry, the beach and shops in Ocean Beach. The house is VERY private with tall grasses and reeds all around which is really a great feature. Updated kitchen, practical layout and EXCELLENT out-door shower. Owners were responsive to questions and we had a great stay.

Lovely home. Private, clean and definitely coming back next year.

The owners are so nice and always quick to respond. The house is in a great area. Convenient for both seaview and ocean beach ferries. You are just a few blocks away from all the restaurants but far away enough so that it's quiet. Everything in the house was clean and the bathroom with the double sink was convenient when the house was full of people. Definitely would book this house again.

Wonderful home, relaxing and great location

This house had plenty of space for us three ladies to spend a relaxing weekend together. The house has such a wonderful charm and character to it. The kitchen and bathrooms were really nice, with convenient nice laundry machines. The location was perfect! We didn't have great weather but we still were able to have a great time! We went for a bike ride which was a lot of fun. Overall a wonderful stay, and coordination with the owner was a pleasure! - we would definitely come back for another stay.

Spacious Comfortable Home

We spent a lovely week at this spacious comfortable home in Seaview. The kitchen, bathroom, barbeque and laundry facilities were in good condition. Plenty of space to spread out so that the family of 6 did not feel cramped or crowded. Although it was on a main corner with foot traffic on the weekend, it was relatively quiet and secluded by tall grasses. Highly recommend the property.

Great Seaview Home!

We just returned from a wonderful stay at this charming Seaview home! We went as a group of 6 adults with 3 babies and had a great week. The home is in a great location (easy to get into town or to beach), very clean/well supplied, and has a great outdoor patio/deck that we used everyday. The owner was easily accessible, a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond in providing information not only before the rental week, but during the week as well with Seaview events/news.

Great house

Great Getaway!

Fabulous home! We were 4 ladies looking to relax and found it EASILY at this home. Our timing was the week before Memorial Day and it was pleasantly quiet. The home is easily accessible from either the Ocean Beach or the Seaview ferries. The Seaview market/liquor store at the seaview ferry terminal is a 3 minute walk. We spent time at the ocean beach, which was a short walk away, and on the days it was too chili, the beautiful secluded deck was the perfect spot to soak up the sun. The one rainy/overcast day we had we were delighted to play cards at the dining table, utilize the newly renovated kitchen and use the large bathtub which was perfect for a relaxing soak. All in all we were so happy with this home and highly recommend it. The owner was a delight and we would definitely return.

Fun, Relaxing Stay

We rented this house for the week leading up to labor day. The house had everything that we might need and more. It included board games, bikes, tons of towels, and it was very clean. It had a private deck and a grill where we cooked almost every night. The kids had a fantastic time at the beach and playing games in the afternoon when it was hot. We had a wonderful time and if we decide to return to Fire Island next summer, we will definitely be renting here.

Great house!

The owner is a pleasure to deal with. Fast efficient honest. The house was more than promised and better than the photos show. There is lots of room, board games to play with, a full closet of towels, a great outdoor shower, kitchen is big by FI standards, the grill is new. Everything you need for the beach and bikes to boot. The sunset views by the bayside were amazing and only one minute walk from the house. We felt very comfortable there. Even during the tornado that passed through!

Great Family Home

Perfect place for families. Owners were responsive and kind. The house is like a home and leaves everyone feeling relaxed and happy. Great place and private deck / shower are huge bonuses.
