Private 2 Bedroom Villa in Tropical Resort Village

Two bedroom and two and half bath private villa at Purple Parrot resort on Perdido Key, Florida. . Sleeps 4-6. This very attractively furnished unit features two large bedrooms with their own private baths and balconies upstairs. One bedroom has a king bed and the other has two full beds. The living area downstairs includes a full kitchen, dining room that seats 6, large living room (with sofa sleeper bed), laundry, and half bath. It is just minutes from the Gulf Island National Seashore (entrance is 9/10 of a mile away) and beautiful white sand beaches (free County beach access is 1 mile away).

The Purple Parrot tropical resort features a 5000 square foot / 150,000 gallon tropical oasis swimming pool with a waterfall cave, an island Jacuzzi, a second waterfall the trickles over 4 tiers of rocks into the huge outdoor pool, and covered tiki area. There is a large indoor indoor heated pool, indoor hot tub, and 2 saunas along with a fitness center equipped with all your workout equipment. The white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are 2 blocks away.

There are world class golf courses, restaurants, marinas for fishing, grocery stores, and churches within a mile of the resort.

Maximum occupancy is 6. No pets.

Great Family Vacation

Great location

The neighborhood is really close to Johnson's Beach (a national park and worth the 25 for a week long parking pass) as well as several great little restaurants. It's also not a far drive into Orange Beach if you want some more activities. The Purple Parrot is great. It's a smallish community, so it feels very homey. The pool is perfect for families. The villa is toward the back so we were never bothered by noise. Overall, we would stay here again.

Great experience

Great location close to the beach, aviation museum and good restaurants. The resort pool is very nice and the house is roomy and comfortable as well. Jarrod was a wonderful host with great communication. Would definitely recommend!

Really nice stay

We have previously only ever stayed in condos in Panama City or Destin. This was our first time going to Perdido Key. We enjoyed the private house at the Purple Parrot and Perdido Key so much more. The house itself and the resort were so cute and clean and not packed full of people. The host, Jarrod has everything you could need and is very easy to reach. The pool area and tiki bar at the resort is so laid back and nice. You don’t realize how nice that is until you get to experience it. Over all it was great and we will be back.

Little Oasis

Our stay was great. We had some hiccups at the beginning, but Jarrod was really helpful and accommodating. Great location, great food nearby (The Oyster Bar) and easy access to the beach. The pool was very nice and peaceful. Great place to stay. Would definitely recommend.

Spring Break

Super close to the beach. Very clean and spacious living room. Kitchen was well stocked. Super easy check in and check out. Host responded to all our messages quickly.

We will be back!

We had a fabulous time! Low key, bar, food, and great pools just a few feet away. Loved sitting on the porch listening to the live band at night. The beach is a short drive and so beautiful!! If you are looking for touristy things to do, they are just a short drive away. The best of both worlds.

Beach Vacation

A very nice condo community. The condo/house was nice and well appointed. Had everything we needed. Plenty of comfortable seating. Great location, we loved going to Johnson Beach, not crowded and if you drive to the last parking lot you practically have the beach to yourself. The pool was still cold so did not use it much this visit. House located on the back loop and was very quiet. Would stay here again.

Perdido

Condo was clean. Resort has a really nice outdoor pool and tiki bar selling drinks and casual food. Small but adequate gym. Location is perfect to beach, NAS, Pensacola and Alabama beaches. Host was very responsive and gave us great recommendations for dinner and things to do in the area. Johnson’s beach was awesome and parking is free w/ military ID.

Clean and Great Location

We’ve stayed at many VRBO properties, but this one was by far the cleanest. Everything you need is on-site: plenty of towels, utensils, and enough paper products to get you nicely started. The owner was very responsive and helpful, the nearby beach is beautiful and not too busy, and there is lots to do within a very short drive. The Purple Parrot is a nice little resort, the pool is great and the drinks at the tiki bar are delicious. Perdido Key is a little hidden paradise. We will be back, that is for sure!

Constant beeping

Smoke alarm beeped the entire stay, reached out about batteries but host never responded. The unit was clean overall but the bed cover smelled musty like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. Needs a good airing out. Also, bathroom showers aren't middle aged friendly. Both tubs are hard to get in and out of. Faucets need to be replaced in double bathroom.

Plenty of space and helpful owner

We were not aware of some minor renovations/repairs that were ongoing when we booked, Jarrod notified us a few days before when he sent the codes. He was very responsive with any and all questions I had and had a technician out for the TV cable when I reached out about it not working. The unit is spacious and we used only the indoor pool since it was too cool out for the outdoor (water was cold). Very short drive to a number of beach accesses (free) or state park.

Excellent communication

The tv in one of the rooms was not working. Communicated with the property manager and he promptly replied with a couple things to try. After trying those with no luck, he had a replacement sent to the property the same day.

Pretty cool place to stay.

We always stay on the beach during our trips but this place makes up for loss of view with a great pool, fun Tiki Hut experience with lots of entertainment, and quick location to great beach access! The listing did not disclose some minor renovations that are pending when we booked the trip but we were informed when we were given our codes a few days before the trip. This did not interfere with our stay at all and I was able to communicate a quick question to our property owner with a polite and speedy response! Overall I would certainly recommend this property to future beach goers!

AWESOME & FUNNY

IT WAS A BLAST I DID NOT EVEN LEAVE THE RESORT, EVERYTHING WAS RIGHT THERE. THE ONLY ISSUE WAS THAT THE 2 TV'S UPSTAIRS DID NOT WORK, BUT I STAYED DOWNSTAIRS ON MY BLOW UP MATTRESS. THE BANDS WERE GREAT FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY. THE POOL WAS EXCELLENT. I WILL BE GOING BACK TO THE PURPLE PARROT BAY RESORT FOR SURE.
