Stay in a 2 bedroom exceptional vacation home when you getaway to Sunriver! Invite up to 6 guests…don’t forget your four legged best friend! When you walk inside Timber #8 the living room is on the left and provides a gas fireplace. Gather with loved ones as you warm up in front of the fireplace or watch your favorite movies using the DVD player. The well stocked kitchen with convenient island overlooks the dining area that leads to the private deck.



Take the spiral staircase to the upper level to the 2 bedrooms with a King or Queen bed. The 2 bedrooms provide a private vanity area with a jack and jill bathroom. The bedrooms are charming with its detailed Victorian inspired décor.

This was a cute house well-set up for a group of three ladies. Pros: Kitchen was well-stocked with bakeware, spices, coffee filters, appreciated all the towels, plenty of supplies, full-sized washer and dryer. Hot tub was nice (lid was super heavy). We had plenty of “getting ready” areas with a vanity for each bedroom along with 2 bathrooms. 6 SHARC passes which we didn’t use but a nice addition. Cons: spiral staircase needs some attention (I was worried about it coming out of the wall), fridge and stove are on their last legs, and housekeeping could be more thorough (dust all over the nightstand, long black hair on bed sheets) and it would’ve been nice to have a couple holiday decorations since we were there over Christmas. A flashlight would’ve been great and a snow shovel, better lighting for the hot tub area.

Nice small house next to the train tracks and it sounds and feels as though a very large, noisy train is coming through the house when they pass. Spiral staircase to the upstairs is not easy to use.

This house was exactly as described and in a great location within Sunriver. The interior of the house is in great condition. Unfortunately, the guests before us had misused the hot tub, resulting in foggy water that I did not notice until we got out. The result was hot tub rash that was so severe it is still visible over two later. We called and someone came to service the hot tub but we did not venture back in after that first experience.

Great time

We had a fantastic time here. The Sharc passes were a nice plus to enjoy an afternoon at the pool. The stairs were a little steep but as long as you are careful it is absolutely fine. The description does list the property as being close to the railroad tracks but they are literally right there. It does get very loud at night but thankfully it was usually only 1-2 trains per night. The deck was nice and felt private due to there being no neighbors behind the property (just the tracks). I think with a little more comfortable patio furniture we would have spent even more time out there. Still a great time and as long as you don’t mind the occasional noise from the train and the stairs everything was perfect. A cozy little house. Thank you!!!

Sunriver house

We’ve rented in many Sunriver homes over the years. This house was cozy and clean with a nice kitchen and dining area. It has a nice hot tub, laundry set up and 6 sharc passes which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the train tracks are right behind the house which surprised me when we arrived as that wasn’t clearly indicated in the listing. A few trains went by every night which woke the two of us sleeping in the back room several times a night. Unfortunately due to this, I would not rent this house again.

Perfect for Small Family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second stay at Timber 8. We're a family of 4 with a dog. We love the location-- easy to get to the Village, Marina, the SHARC, and the highway. The house is secluded enough for us to let our dog run in the back. The train track and train sounds didn't bother us. We were having trouble with the grill & Sunset Lodging responded immediately. There isn't any AC in the house but there are fans. We brought some extras. The only down side was when we stayed it was very dry and dusty. With the windows open, it created a film of dust inside. This didn't stop us from having a great time. We can't wait to stay here again.

Great weekend

The property was just as described and actually felt bigger than we thought it would be. The back deck and hot tub are very close to train tracks but it didn't bother us at all. Really cute little house and having a washer and dryer helped a ton!

We were not aware that there was a railroad in the backyard, so the whole place rumbled every couple hours. I thought it was cool, but also hadn't seen anything about it prior to our stay. The back door is broken but if you move the lock just right, it does lock, so we did that every night.

Pretty good

Trains. Biggest complaint is the trains. Outside of that it was cozy and fine. Bed was a little hard. If you care it’s not very updated but didn’t bother us. They could use a new fridge. Stairs are not great for kids or older folks. But close to everything, affordable and generally good.

Family getaway for 6

Beautiful home and somewhat spacious for a family of 6. There are 2 rooms in this house with a jack-in-jill bathroom to share upstairs. Downstairs is a living room with 2 couches and one is a hide-a-bed and one bathroom with washer and dryer. We had the 2 younger kids in the living room, teens upstairs in one room and adults in the other. The deck was nice with a grill, 4 piece patio set and hot tub. We had enough towels and kitchen basics to use. There were 6 Sharc passes and walking distance is about 15 minutes away and the village is 30 minutes away. Everything is much closer if you ride your bike or drive. I honestly thought the village was closer which would have been nice for the older kids. All in all, this a great home and we would stay here again. However, there is no A/C and the deck and patio furniture and home furniture could be updated for these relaxing getaways. Sunriver is a wonderful place to visit with family and friends and there is so much to do here. We rode our bikes, ate at the village and shopped, went to Sharc almost daily and floated the river.

I probably wouldn't take any more people and wouldn't take my parents (in their 60s) due to the steep spiral staircase and single full bathroom. However, it was great for our family. We appreciated that it was dog friendly and was a short bike ride away from the Village and SHARC. The property was clean and the online instructions made it easy to check in and out.
