We welcome you to our Unique large Sea Captain home perfect for family reunions or for families who want to vacation together but also have separate living and sleeping quarters. Large home with 3 separate units (3 kitchens). Open up for the day so everyone has run of the house or close any 1 of the 3 units for privacy if desired. One acre lot for plenty of room to play. Steps to beautiful South Village beach at end of street. Come home for lunch or naps. Large eating areas with room enough for large families in addition each unit has its own eating area. Large sun-room and a gas fireplace for cool nights or off season enjoyment. There is a large outside shower, gas barbecue, picnic table, washer and dryer, 2nd floor patio. Lots of restaurants, ice cream parlors, tourist and water activities nearby. The LIGHTHOUSE INN and West Dennis Beach are close by.


Each bedroom is tastefully decorated, offering bright beach like comfort Huge, well maintained yard sets the mood for memorable family barbecues on the patio equipped with gas grill. Family strolls to the beach, sunsets, picnics, fishing, new friends, lasting memories...priceless!

Check in was super easy, Claudio was an excellent host very attentive and helpful. The house was perfect for our large family, we had everything we needed. We look forward to returning again for another fabulous week with family.

The booking and arrival process was very easy...the location and short walk to the beach was perfect...everything was as described and we would definitely rent it again!

Perfect sunrise/sunset family vacation by the ocean

This Cape Cod home was just the perfect place for our 13 member family to vacation. The home was welcoming, spotless and provided plenty of room for all of us to be together or to have our own private space. The yard was great with plenty of room for badminton, croquet, wiffle ball or cornhole. The ocean beach was just a short walk away. The beds were very comfortable. There was a porch on the 2nd floor from which we could view the magnificent sunrises and sunsets. The Cape Cod Rail trail was only a short drive, as were the shopping centers and mini-golf/go karts. The host was easily available and pleasant to work with. Our family wants the thank the Perugini family for sharing this wonderful home with us. We will be back .

DO NOT Rent from this owner

The property was poorly maintained, dirty and the owner would never return the deposit to you with all kinds of excuses. The kitchen screen door was broken when we arrived. Only two out of four sleeper sofas were working. The house was not clean at all. Two stair railings were missing, leading to safety concerns. After the trip, the owner never provided any evidence for not returning our deposit and and rarely replied our emails and phone inquires to discuss those issues. So, please do not rent from this guy. If you have to, take as many pictures as possible for before and after the rental, and make sure that you have a good lawyer to deal with this owner afterwards.

Shame on you! I have a text when you arrived that stated "We are settling in. WHAT A NICE HOUSE!" Not only did you destroy my home, ripped 3 leather sofa's you had the nerve to give me a bad review because you didn't get your security deposit! The purpose for the security deposit is to cover for damage and you sir far exceeded the security deposit. In the 15 years that I have been renting 2 HOMES on the cape I have never had to do this until this year. As far as your comment of only 2 of the 4 sleeper sofas worked. There are actually 5 sleeper sofa and 3 work. The home sleeps 18! 7 bedrooms X 2 per room=14, Plus 3 working Queen Sleepers with memory foam. As advertised! More than enough for 18 people. Obviously you had more than 18 in the home! I wish I had a vehicle in which I could give you a bad review so that others would not rent to you! We have consistently received great reviews on this property and my other Homeaway property 183517. Shame on you

Great family house

There were 16 of us ranging in age from 2 to 73. The house accommodated us very well. Real pluses are the large yard for kids to play and the short walk to the public beach. To park at the beach costs $30. Bed linens and towels are not provided so these need to be brought with you or rented from services in the area. We understand this is normal practice for home rentals in Cape Cod.

Great family vacation

The location was great! The house was very clean and spacious. The grandchildren enjoyed running and playing in the back yard. The owner was very helpful and attentive.

This house was huge & perfect for our group of family . Just a short walk to the beach too . plenty of yard for the kids to play in also . Many updated features in the main kitchen & bathrooms .

TERRIFIC for family reunion.

The Sea Captain was perfect for our week long family reunion. It was spacious enough for the kids to be able to play in one of the living rooms while the adults gathered in another. The wrap around deck allowed us to see multiple fireworks. The beach was a block away. Altogether a great experience.

Another family vacation of fun, laughter and wonderful memories

This is our 5th year at the Captain House. There are 14 of us plus day visitors and everything from from 7 bedrooms, to5 bathrooms, outside shower to parking to large yard to three refrigerators accomadates us all. Plus lots of places to go if you want to find a quiet place to read or watch the stars at night. The updates in the house are on par with a 5 star hotel. Another great week with many wonderful memories. Thank you

The house is very well taken care of and very clean. Most of it has been updated and it's very nice.

We had a wonderful week. The house was clean, and had ample room for our extended family of 16. The yard was great for the kids when we were at the house, and the beach was a quick walk down the street.

Great house for extended family vacation. Lots of space, close to the beach and great location .

We loved our stay. We explored the big yard with the birds and rabbits. The grandchildren loved running around the grass. Our family enjoyed many evenings sitting on the outdoor patio. The kitchen is a great space for family gathering and game playing. The two newly remodeled bathrooms are beautiful and have great showers. There is plenty of parking. The upstairs deck was a great spot to sit at night and watch the stars. Lots of space for our three children and their spouses and children to spread out. Highly recommend The Sea Captain for your family vacation!

Gorgeous Place- Ideal location

Our extremely large family (10 adults, 7 children) had the pleasure of spending the week at this property in West Dennis this summer.... Could not have been more ideal. The newly renovated home has a great layout. Huge kitchen area opens to adjacent outdoor patio, plus two large living /TV spaces enabled us to convene together comfortably. The floor plan also has separate units, which allowed those of us who needed space (family with a newborn) to shut the door for some peace and quiet. Minutes walk down to the beach. Private beach was clean, quaint, and had life-guard on duty majority of the time. Parking lot at beach if you must drive, but really no need, its that close! Homeowner was super friendly and informative. Even provided basic cleaning/household products such as laundry detergent, bug spray, and toilet paper, which many places we have stayed at prior have not. Overall, great experience!

Steve and Joann, I have been renting 2 homes at the cape for over 18 years. I haven't personally met many of the wonderful families that have rented from us. Each Year another memory making Family Vacation at the Captains House

Great home for a large family vacation. Huge yard for games and just running around. Grass is lush and well maintained. Parking area is great and beautifully landscaped. Beach just minutes away, perfect for kids of all ages. Lots of resturaunts, entertainment and stores nearby. The Best. Thanks Claudio

Cavernous property very close to the beach

This is luxury accommodation that really can cater up to 18 people. High end appointments with a relaxing feel and amenities for all generations [three separate kitchen areas, multiple bathrooms and seven bedrooms]. This allows for different groups to cook, entertain, shower or relax on their own schedules resulting in a stress free experience for all. A stones throw from the beach and the estate also has nice entertainment options outside [patios, swing seat etc] . Claudio was accessible and responsive to any questions I had. Highly recommended.

Great place to vacation with family

This is the 1st time my family and I have rented this property and we will definitely go back again next year! This home is perfect for a large family and has an amazing new kitchen for people who like to cook. It also has a great backyard and is just a quick walk to South Village Beach. Had an awesome week and made some great new memories❤️

Wonderful house we have rented for our large group for five years now!

Owner has made improvements every year - inside and out. Walk to the beach. Great yard and upper deck to watch the sunset! We keep going back to "The Captains House"

Great time

This was our 3rd year at the Sea Captain House and once again a great time and wonderful memories in a house for large families with adult children and sweet grandkids. We spend most of time at the beach (mere minutes walk), a huge yard for relaxing, lots of games and hide and seek, and plenty of parking. Thank you Claudio

Large and Family Friendly

Great house for multiple families vacationing together. Great location to walk to beach. Large yard for children to play after dinner. Loved the large kitchen and table so we all could eat in the same room together.

Perfect house for reunion

The house was perfect for our summer family reunion. Enough space for a multi family stay. Ate in the kitchen and outside on the provided picnic table. Great location with a short walk to the beach. Plenty of yard space for the kids to run around and play games. No problems parking several vehicles. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Planning on staying there again.

Always at home here

Love this house. Three families stay here and another family stays down the road. Always a blast coming here every year. The large yard is great for annual family wiffle ball tournament. Top deck great for star gazing. Will continue to come back every year. Thanks for another great week, fun in the sun.

Having vacationed with our family for years at the cape we purchased our first West Dennis home in 1999. That home is right behind this home. During the years we admired the amount of family and friends visited this home. It was nice to see so many people able to stay in one home. When the home came available we had to buy it. We now own both this and our first property homeaway property 183517.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

The home had a special charm! I dont know if it was the fact that it was a sea captains home from the 1890's or the years of admiring the property from our home next door. It just seemed like a fun house! Friends and family getting together under one roof.
