Misleading and wildly exaggerated description of the ocean view.Lesson learned: Check out the descriptions yourself. For example, the description says there is an outstanding view of the ocean. But we measured it. It's only a seven degree view, which is partially blocked by furniture. While the ad had full views of the ocean, it didnt clearly show it was really ONLY a tiny view.Second, it says 50 steps to the beach. It was alot more than that. The statement of the features did not state that this building has four floors, and that the master bedroom is on the fourth floor. So if you have elderly members in your party, this may pose a problem. Apparently we were to 'infer' 4 floors from a photo and an earlier review.In the staircases, the railings on every floor are inadequate and may not be up to current building codes. Furthermore, the run & rise of the steps are different than today's 7-11 standards, making the steps a safety issue because the run is shorter than most adult feet. Many of the electrical sockets need to be replaced because they simply cannot hold a plug securely in place. There were no instructions on how to work the main door lock; and it was not intuitive. There is no garbage disposal. The only chairs were on the main living level.

This is our second time staying at this location and it didn’t disappoint! Great location steps from the beach and we were so grateful they had umbrellas and beach chairs to use so we didn’t have to bring those with us. Temperature in the house was great. Love the open kitchen/eating:living space. A block from “Matt’s Fishcamp” which is a great family friendly place to eat. We also love that the beach is not super crowded at this development. Owners very quick to respond to any questions. Will definitely rent here again.

Very close to the beach, great views and so well-stocked!

Very, very happy with my family's stay at this property. I have never (in 40 years) rented a Delaware bach property that was so well stocked. Love not having to worry about packing linens and so many extras. There was a fully stocked beach closet with three chairs, a few beach umbrellas and beach toys, too. Walt was wonderfully communicative and we loved the location. Also loved the balcony and appreciated all the furniture there--perfect place for unwinding, and enjoying the view with an evening cocktail.

Great Location and Owner

The location of this home couldn't have been any better. We thoroughly enjoyed the view, the amenities and support we received from Walt. The entry level bedroom is small and was a challenge for my elderly parents - medically they travel with too much to make that room work and stairs are tough. But that was a minor hiccup and the views more than made up for it!

This townhouse was really excellent. Was as clean as any rental we've stayed in!The furnishings and decor were really tastefully done. No cheesy beach themed junk. Someone with a good eye took time to assure a tranquil and upscale feel.Walter was responsive and very kind with our trouble using the entry pad and there was no delay or hassle getting into the property.Was going to rate the check-in process a 4 - based on Vrbo. But decided to go with a 5 because the owner was so great once we dealt with him.We would highly recommend this property and owner. Really excellent.

Simple check-out/in, great location!

The location was great, and while the unit is not technically right on the beach, we were only about 50 steps away from the sand! Cleanliness was excellent. Leading up to our stay, the communication with Walter was excellent and he answered any questions I had. During our stay I didn’t have to reach out much since everything was pretty straight forward, and ready to go for our stay. I ran into one minor issue with the door lock, and when I reached out to Walt, he got back to me within 5-7 minutes to talk me through it! The neighborhood is just a short 4-5 minute drive to grocery stores, the Bethany beach boardwalk, etc. The 2nd floor kitchen/living room/kitchen is Little smaller than expected, but I would say that the bedrooms being spread across the other 3 floors makes up for that. And not to mention we were at the beach most of our time there, it wasn’t much of an impact. We Would definitely stay here again!

Very close to the beach

We had a great time! There were a few glitches once we got there but Howard was quick to respond and answered his phone when I called. It was very nice not having to pack sheets and towels. The living/ kitchen space is smaller than it appears in the pictures and was a bit cramped with ten people at meal times. Overall I would recommend staying there.

Family vacation

What a wonderful vacation house this was. It was steps away from the beach and absolutely fantastic for our family. The hosts were accommodating with all questions and super friendly. I would highly recommend staying here.

Age is just a number

This was our first trip to the Bethany Beach area. We celebrated a Birthday milestone for my husband! It was with family and we had a wonderful time. Our super hosts thought of everything. We didn’t need to pack as much as we did and will know for next time. Thanks for helping me make my husband’s milestone one tone remembered.
