Bright and Airy Bayview Beach House

This beach house is located on Fire Island, NY in the Hamlet of Oceanridge in Davis Park. It is a barrier island adjacent to the south shore of Long Island, NY. It offers pristine beaches that are nestled between the Great South Bay and Atlantic Ocean. There is nothing like a calm ferry ride across the Great South Bay to start of your vacation at our summer retreat. Leave your car and worries behind!

Our home over looks the great south bay and a 2 minute walk to the Ocean.There are 2 fabulous restaurants and a snack bar on the beach when you don't want to cook or grill at home.

The house provides access to a wonderful experience back to nature exploring the most beautiful beaches, without crowds. Just a short walk to: the nature trails at Watch Hill Nature Preserve, beaching, clamming, kayaking, ocean and bay fishing.

Enjoy a week or more in our immaculate home. Great room surrounded by windows over-looking the bay!

Davis Park

The house is great. The AC works great, which is a huge plus for Davis. The house is clean, has everything you can need, and the view from upstairs/the top deck is amazing. Beth was super communicative. This was the perfect place for our family.

Amazing Week

We had an amazing week at this house. There is an entrance to the bay a few Steps away and the ocean beach is only a 2-3 minute walk. The owners have all you could need for beach including coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, and all toys/games. There is washer/dryer right on deck so you can rinse off in the outdoor shower and then Wash all your towels/bathing suits right when you get back, the owner was extremely accommodating, helpful, and responsive throughout the week. I highly recommend using this house as I know I will for sure be renting it again,

Beautiful Home

We had an amazing time staying at The Bed of Roses! The home was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Without a doubt, one of the best views of the bay; especially during sunset! We couldn’t have been more pleased. Can’t wait to visit again next year.

Great house!

Lovely home, user friendly with plenty of beach supplies (chairs, umbrellas, sand toys!) and lots of room. The weather was not always ideal, but the house made up for it! Owner was always responsive and lovely!

Lovely, Relaxing home with beautiful bay view

Bed of Roses is a lovely, comfortable home with an amazing Bay view. Four lower floor bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a lower covered deck with an outdoor shower and washer and dryer. The main floor is the upper floor with an open concept and windows and deck that overlook the bay for an amazing sunset. Every beach amenity you need it right at the house, coolers, chairs umbrella's, beach towels, Kayaks. You don't need to lug anything for your trip. We had a great time getting sun on the beach and walking to Watch Hill through the nature trail. I would highly recommend this property and will be looking to go back next year. Thanks Beth for meeting us with the wagon and answering all our questions.

Perfect Beach House !!

From the minute we stepped into your lovely Beach house it felt like home . So warm and inviting with all your touches of for a beach home ! The views of the bay were amazing! Our family , had a wonderful time walking just a few minutes to the beach ,taking nature walks ,even a bit of kayaking . Supplying beach chairs , well stocked kitchen , you weren’t kidding, just bring your clothes, and food ! So many areas to spread out and we all loved the upper deck with those views can’t get better sunsets ! Bedrooms were perfect too . Friends visiting and family that stayed all had a fantastic time ! Great stay Vacation, at the Bed of Roses , At Davis , Fire Island Also Beth, Thank you for being so responsive, & helpful answering any questions we had !! Kathy and Al C.

For island experience

We loved the house and location. the bedrooms were very comfortable. The second floor living area was very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and roomy. most of all we enjoyed the deck with its beautiful vista and sensational sunsets

Great week

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at Davis Park. Beth and Jim were great hosts - kind and patient. They did everything to ensure we had a great time. The house is perfect for a family getaway and the deck an amazing spot for lunch or dinner. This was a memorable beach vacation - great for the kids and grandparents alike. We hope to return soon.

Clean, comfortable, and awesome location!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was clean, comfortable, and communication with the home owner was excellent. She was very quick to respond to messages, and was so nice. By the way, the views from the large windows and deck were awesome!

Davis Park Visit

Had a great experience with my family on this property. It's right by the bay with a remarkable view of the sunset and a quick walk to the beach. In addition Beth was a great host and very friendly as well. I definitely recommend staying and here and plan on coming back again.

2019 Davis Beach house

This beach house is the 5th one I stayed in over the years. The upstairs is one large room made up of a kitchen, dining room and living room - with a large deck off of it with a beautiful view of the great south bay. It was very comfortable for family and friends. Four bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms downstairs and 1/2 upstairs made it perfect for a large family. The area was quiet and was a nice walk to the beach. The owners are very nice and communicate very quickly if contacted.

Great beach house

Our family had a great stay on Fire Island earlier this month. The house is designed for informal indoor/outdoor living, with an ample upper floor that opens onto a large deck with great views of the Bay - perfect for sunset cocktails, grilling and enjoying great family time. The kitchen is fully equipped, the house feels lived in and inviting. Communication with Beth, the owner was easy and clear. We will look forward to returning.

Charming beach home with beautiful view over the bay

We recently stayed at the Bed of Roses and were pleasantly surprised. The home has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay in Davis Park. The rooms are decorated very beachy (we loved the wall hanging messages throughout the house!). Our favorite part of our stay was the views of the sunset off the back deck of the home overlooking the bay. The beach was a two minute walk away. Beth, the owner, has provided plenty of beach chairs, a kayak, pool toys for the little ones, beach towels, etc. Whether you are a large family, or a couple (as we were on this trip), you will love the relaxation this home provides. We loved our time there and will definitely be back for a return visit!

Our Beach Oasis!

This beach house has been our getaway for a number of years! It has all the amenities of home, yet the distinct peaceful feeling of being away from it all! It is clean, charming and comfortable. There is plenty of room to have family and friends come to visit. The view of the Bay and Ocean are wonderful from the upstairs deck and upstairs living area! We enjoy the beach while we are there but don't feel the necessity to go every day since the house is so comfortable and inviting. The windows let you know where you are at all times! The surrounding houses are spaced so that you have a very peaceful stay and the people that you do see are always very friendly! We look forward to our stay each year and are looking forward to next year already!

Amazing summer retreat!

I rented this property in order to spend some quality time with my family and boy, this house did not disappoint! I spent a week at the Bed of Roses with 6 adults and 4 kids (ages 10-16). We live on Long Island and own boats. One was at the marina in a slip we rented (by choice) and a smaller boat that we kept moored in the bay. The house is perfect for that since we could see the boat from the second story of the house. The view is simply breath taking! I've rented in the past and was nervous this house would be too good to be true and it wasn't. The living area upstairs with the deck was super spacious and breezy, making it very comfortable for those warm summer nights. The sunsets while we barbecued was a nightly ritual for us. The bed rooms were comfortable and cozy, each one having a ceiling fan. The downstairs deck with an outdoor shower was invaluable and a mainstay for the kiddies. They loved having their own private hangout! Amazing communication and quick responses to all our questions from Beth (the owner) was extremely reassuring during this wonderful vacation. I would rent this home again in a second!

Amazing!!!'

This house was amazing, I went to Fire Island in June 2015. The Owners were very accommodating and I was looking forward for this vacations. When we arrived the house was clean and fully equipped with the things you might need in the kitchen as well as entertainment. Dishwasher, blender, plates, silverware, spices and more. There were table games for the kids to get entertained as well as canoes, beach chair, umbrellas, towels and more. The location was perfect, really close to the bay in which we had so much fun clamming and also close to the beach. You can enjoy both views from the beautiful porch, kitchen and living room on the second floor of this lovely house. The kids enjoy the outdoor shower wich was a plus for us. A nice treat in the outdoors. I felt like home and this gorgeous house has exceeded my expectations!!! Can't wait to comeback to this amazing house in Fire Island.
