From November 1- April 15 please be aware that the Utah Department of Transportation and Town of Brighton rules about canyon travel require snow tires (3PMSF) or chains to make it safely up the canyon and to the home. Snow plowing is provided by local vendor and is intermittent. Cottonwood Lodging does not have control over snow plowing. DO NOT TAKE UBERS OR LYFTS TO THIS PROPERTY. Please plan to check in by 8pm to avoid unplowed roads if it is storming and note that this home can accommodate ONLY 2 vehicles.

Rivamonte is managed by locally owned and operated property manager Cottonwood Lodging Company where the guest experience is most important. Please reach out for information about the area and other services offered by Cottonwood Lodging.

Vaulted ceilings, amazing views, and a warm ambiance greet you at the door of this beautiful log home situated on a mountain stream near Brighton Resort. Construction is centered around large, gorgeous wood beams and quality craftsmanship is evident throughout this home. The great room features an immense stone fireplace and a wall of windows which allows for plenty of sunlight and uninterrupted views of the landscape. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a spacious kitchen, and a den/TV room downstairs.

MAIN LEVEL:
-Living Room- HUGE windows with unbeatable views, comfy couch and armchairs, TV, large gas perfect gathering area for your group off the slopes!

-Kitchen- Modern custom kitchen with all the necessary tools you need to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

-Dining Area- Plenty of space for up to 8 at the wooden dining table with a few extra seats at the kitchen counter!

-Primary Bedroom- King sized bed, a door out to the deck, TV, and a private full bathroom!

-Twins Bedroom- Spacious main level bedroom with two Twin beds and its own door to the common bathroom.

-Common Bathroom- Jack & Jill style bathroom with entry doors in the main hallway and twins bedroom.

LOFT:
-Office Space- A desk provides ample space for our working travelers, along with a birds-eye view of the main level.

DOWNSTAIRS:
-Den- Watch a movie with friends and family downstairs while sinking into the deep couches!

-Queen Bedroom- Downstairs queen bedroom with cozy linens.

-King Bedroom- Downstairs bedroom with king-sized bed.

-Laundry Room- Access to efficient washer/dryer with detergent provided! We also have an iron/ironing board in here.

Family Fun in the Mountains

We love the location, which is walkable to Brighton and the Nordic Center, and a short drive to Solitude. It's a beautiful home, comfortable and well appointed overall. The fireplace works great and warms up the house quickly. The Cottonwood Lodging staff was very responsive. Highly recommend!

Cottonwood team was very responsive via text, checking in on us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for 2 weeks and had a great time. When traffic backs up, it's an easy walk up to Brighton or a quick drive down to Solitude. The house has everything you need and sits in a very quiet area, even though it's on the main road. The place was very clean and the property manager was quick to respond to our questions. Highly recommend. You can also walk to the Brighton store and the Nordic center.

Brighton/solitude ski jan23-27 2025

My wife and I, plus our 3 married kids and spouses, and infant granddaughter enjoyed rivamonte for a “long weekend” ski trip. The property was outstanding in every way. Two couples loved the downstairs bedrooms and their privacy and large shared bath. Upstairs great room and very spacious. Fully stocked kitchen exceeded our expectations and was center of great cooking and family time. It’s rare that a rental exceeds your expectations on about every detail, but this one did. Property team was extraordinary. Checked with me daily on how they could help or respond. I even had a flat tire on our rental SUV and they were ready to help us out with that which is truly special service Just amazing experience and recommend this property for any families of eight. Location of property to Brighton slopes as well as solitude cannot be more perfect walkable to Brighton and just a short five minute ride solitude. The property was on the main road and I thought we would have challenges with traffic, but that never manifested was pretty smooth the whole weekend. Thank you, Cottonwood lodging for all your special services and care and providing this property

Awesome Stay!

This place had plenty of room for all 7 of us and is located right in between both Solitude and Brighton Mountains. The location was great and the skiing was even better.

Short Stay

Beautiful location and home - had some issues right off the bat with the house having a propane leak and us needing to be moved. The hosting company and Carol were great and got everything fixed, then the hot water went out in the house. Bumpy stay and we were supposed to receive a refund towards our stay but never did. Hot water came on later in the evening. The summer months are awesome there - the porch needs updated outdoor furniture too. Chairs are flimsy and some of them broke. We dusted everything off and got it all ready to use - it would have been nice to have that ready when we arrived. Overall everything worked out and they allowed us to stay for a late check out which we were grateful for.

Perfect Staycation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was so excited to book this place with my friends that were both locals to SLC and coming in for my birthday celebration. The cabin was so cozy from every little detail! I personally was so impressed with how little the noise traveled from the bedrooms to those that were out in the bigger space. I wish we would have known exactly how far from Brighton the cabin was before booking, because it did add some stress with the parking pass requirements that Brighton Ski Resort now has for the weekends. However, as always it all worked out!

Beautiful Brighton home

This home has it all. Conveniently located between Brighton and Solitude resorts, beautiful views out the back, plenty of room and amenities inside, and the property manager couldn't have been more helpful as we had trouble finding the property in the dark and understanding which keypad we should have used to enter the property. We would definitely stay here again!

We have 4 adults in our group. The house was very spacious, comfortable and well stocked with basic household and kitchen items. The management staff members were very responsive to our inquires and provided very useful information regarding grocery stores at the foot of the canyon and places for ski rentals. Overall, our trip was a very pleasant experience. We would highly recommend this home for a ski vacation in the Big Cottonwood Canyon.

Lovely Family Getaway

We loved the big kitchen, the comfortable beds and the beautiful river we could hear and look at from the deck. We had frequent moose sightings including a mother and two calves who spent about 30 minutes in the backyard enjoying the river while we watched from the deck. We didn’t turn in the tv a single time because there was so much good hiking and relaxing activities to enjoy in the area. It was a perfect place for us to enjoy family time before the big wedding weekend.

Completely Peaceful

Rivamonte is heaven on earth. It is so peaceful and the view out the back of the house is amazing. The sound of the running river is so soothing and refreshing. The house is well decorated and the kitchen is well stocked. There are more than enough towels in the bathroom and there were large bottles of shampoo and conditioner and body wash. We did not want for anything and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful House - Excellent Service

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect house for 2 families for a week of skiing. The house looks far better in person than pics. We had over 40 inches of snow while we were there and they helped dig our cars out and plowed the driveway a couple of times. The ski resort closed on our last day and Cottonwood Lodgings returned our ski equipment on our behalf since we had to leave before the resort opened the day we left. Communication before and during our stay was excellent. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing propery with amazing management

This property is incredible. It's beautiful, clean, comfortable, and it has a great location. The management company is the most professional and accommodating company I have ever dealt with. If only other rental companies were at this level. 10/10 all the way around!

Also, a great location to skiing. However, it wasn't very clean. Some of the dishes and pots needed washing before we used them. Some bedding was clearly used before we arrived. The dryer was filled with towels and bedding the we had to fold and put away. I also had remove about a foot on snow from the driveway upon our arrival. Overall, it was very nice and we would stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall loved my time at this rental property. Very close to Brighton which is so convenient. Well stocked kitchen and lots of extra linens. The online listing stated 3 king beds and 1 queen; in reality, one of these 3 king beds had been replaced by two twin beds. Additionally, we were told only 3 small cars could fit in the driveway; however, it is possible to fit more. Overall very happy with the experience though.
