Enjoy our Green Gables Mountain Lodge, a retreat for all seasons. Relax by the fire, or on the decks while enjoying your favorite beverages. The home is 2000+ sq. ft. plus 2 large decks, 1 car garage and large lot covered with pine trees.

Easy access up only one step from the garage.
Maximum guests are 8, excluding children under age 13. Total guests are 12.

Head out on foot, bike or car to Tahoe Donner amenities: golf/tennis; ski/board/cross country; hiking; horseback riding; beach/pool for swimming; spa/hot tub; snowhill for sledding

Large, comfortable sunken living room with river rock fireplace for playing games, reading, watching favorite teams or movies, wall mounted TV, cable/wifi internet. Large decks & dining room for family/friend gatherings.

The house was outstanding! Layout was open, a cozy fireplace with endless amounts of firewood, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, and access to Tahoe Donner HOA with hot tubs, pool and sauna. Peg was super easy to communicate with, highly recommend and hope to stay again!

We had such a great time at Peg's cabin! The house had everything we needed and more. My daughter learned how to ski which made this trip extra special. Great communication! Peg was very responsive and welcoming.

Grateful for Green Gables

This was by far the best equipped rental property we have experienced, with more amenities than our own homes offer. The host was most accommodating, allowing us an earlier entry to align with our flights and responding to all of our questions. Unlike other rentals we've visited, she left no guesswork regarding the function of lights, utilities, and appliances, providing a detailed guidebook and notes posted on walls: great training for a 5 year-old learning to read! With comfortable beds, two outdoor decks, and a play loft for the kids, we had plenty of space for 5 adults and two little ones, enhanced, of course, by the outdoor wonders of forest hikes, beach activities, and pontoon rides.We chose this gem for our 45th wedding anniversary celebration and hope to return for our 50th. After several nights in this home, our 2 year-old granddaughter, famous for saying "no like" to many things, exclaimed, "I LOVE Tahoe!"

Green Gables, the perfect Truckee get away!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Green Gables. The check in and out process was simple and we had great communication with Peg. The house comfortably supported our three generations of family. Location is in the heart Tahoe Donner. Green Gables is definitely a four season home. Enjoy!

Clean and cozy in a wonderful location

The house was just what we needed for a weekend away with friends and kids in Tahoe. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, including anything we needed for cooking! Peg was incredibly kind and helpful whenever we had any questions. The location was right down the street from Tahoe Donner, a very quaint and family friendly ski area. We highly enjoyed our stay and loved sitting by the fireplace and chatting. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Tahoe.

Super Comfortable and Spacious

We absolutely loved this home. Everything about it was wonderful-from the fully stocked kitchen to the comfortable beds this rental feels like home. We have stayed in quite a few VRBO rentals, and this one stands out as one of the best. Itā€™s rare to find a rental home that doesnā€™t feel like a rental.Our family of 5 had more than enough room and we were able to spread out when wanted, but we spent most of our time in the living room around the gorgeous fireplace. The fully stocked wood pile in the garage was a huge bonus, along with board games, a poker table, and blankets on every couch. We were able to sink in to the winter weather and just relax. The owner was attentive, thoughtful, and made staying at the home super easy. I highly Recommend this property.

Family Snowy Christmas Get-Away

We loved it! The house is lovely and well set up for guests,all the amenities are available, very close access to local skiing and sledding; plenty of housewares an cookery for large gatherings. We did not use the fireplace but tons of firewood available. A very enjoyable family gathering!

Family friendly cabin perfect for all ages

We had a fantastic 4 night stay in Truckee thanks to Peg. The cabin was super comfortable and close to everything we needed in downtown Truckee and the surrounding area. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and Peg was a fantastic host- communicative, generous, and flexible allowing us to extend the rental by a few nights on short notice. We'd love to stay again in the future and hope our group (which included 11 month old twins and a 7 year old) can return in the future.

Great house, great host!

House is as advertised and the host was lovely and incredibly responsive for all questions and inquiries we had. I'll add this here to follow the large check in book procedure so you don't get stuck looking dumb about why certain things aren't on or where they are at (it's all in the book lol). The loft in particular was lovely and great for kids. Kitchen was stocked with all the amenities you could need. Highly recommended

We stayed here over the MLK weekend for the kids to have some snow playing time. The cabin is cozy and has everything we needed. We ran into some issues with the cabin, but the host Peg responded and resolved quickly! Will definitely stay here next time!

A cozy hub for a family gathering

Our family of 5 stayed for 5 days, with visits from other family members throughout the time, so the size and layout of the house was perfect. Built puzzles, went for walks, played pingpong in the garage, cooked and baked a ton. It took a day to get the house up and running (adjusting hot water, and the heater took a day to get to comfortable temp) - too bad there wasn't snow for new years! The house clearly feels lived in which makes it feel like home. Lovely time!

Perfect Lake Tahoe summer getaway

Everything we needed for multiple families to spend time together in Tahoe. Well appointed, spacious, and well located. Only suggestion is to anchor furniture and put child locks on window upstairs , it was hot and we couldnā€™t open it for safety reasons. Peg was great to communicate with and clear about her expectations. Would recommend!

Very nice cabin, fully stocked kitchen, all the toys for having fun. Ping pong table, great deck, access to all the Donner activities. Great host. Minuses: there is a nice wood burning chimney but the house has a smoke smell, if you mind that.

We love adventure, skiing, mountain biking, hiking and reading by the fire! Green Gables Mountain Lodge is our family cabin and we enjoy sharing with other families who will care for it as if their own. The cabin has board games, puzzles and a stocked kitchen. Please replace what you use. We are registered with the Town of Truckee as a STR #030912.

Our cabin is located in a neighborhood with full time residents and we all appreciate your attention to quiet hours and respect for the environment. We enjoy walks, hikes and mountain biking on the great trail system, golfing on the beautiful nearby courses, skiing at Sugar Bowl, Northstar, Palisades: Olympic Valley and Alpine Meadows and very close for family skiing at Tahoe Donner.
Also beach and pool time at the Tahoe Donner amenities in summer; mountain biking, snow shoeing or cross country skiing on the extensive trail system and in the Euer Valley.
