We are 1/2 mile from the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium, Pacific Whale Foundation, Maā€˜alaea Harbor and Harbor Shops, and the Mini-Golf Complex!

Kanaā€˜i A Nalu means 'gentle surf, but we call it 'Dad's Paradise.' Kanaā€˜i A Nalu is a beautiful OCEANFRONT complex located near the four-mile stretch of Sugar Beach on Maā€˜alaea Bay. Our condo is located on the second floor with gorgeous views from the lanai of the tropical gardens, the pool, the ocean, and the sunrise over Haleakala, the 'House of the Sun,' Mauiā€™s largest dormant volcano. During the winter months, when the humpback whales are in the bay, the lanai may become your full-time residence.

The central tropical garden area has a solar-heated pool, large grassy area, and two grills for all to enjoy! In the late afternoon, the barbecue area is the place to be!

Kanaā€˜i A Nalu appeals to those who don't want to have to walk through a congested lobby or across a busy street to get to the pool or beach. Our guests can easily go from our condo to the beach and back in a few minutes.

Our condo is fully equipped with kitchenware, linens, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. We also have a nice collection of beach towels, used snorkeling gear, sand toys and boogie boards for you to use on the beach.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed with a connecting bathroom, while the second bedroom has twin beds and a full bathroom in the adjacent hall.
We have made some lovely improvements to the condo in recent years, with tile floors in the main living areas and kitchen, granite countertops in the kitchen and both bathrooms, and with HD TVs in the living/dining area and the master bedroom. We love the relaxed tropical style on island, and that style is reflected in our condo.

When the weather is blistering hot on other parts of the island, Maā€˜alaea Bayā€™s consistent breezes keep the air comfortable at our complex. Inside the condo, each room has a ceiling fan to provide comfort, including the bathrooms. Quiet Mitsubishi Air Conditioners are in the living room and both bedrooms.

Directly across the bay is the town of Kihei; towering above it is Haleakala, elev. 10,023. Sunrises over its summit can be seen from the lanai, and they are stunning!

Our condo is centrally located on the island. We are just down the street from the Maui Ocean Center, Maalaea Harbor, and the Mini-golf/rock climbing center. It is also approximately 9 miles from the Kahului Airport.

We had a wonderful stay - this was the most well-equipped condo weā€™ve ever rented! Everything you could think of was right there. We enjoyed the local ocean and restaurants (a big thank you to Terri for the great recommendations!).The owner was the best - we want to thank her again for everything. She generously allowed us a late checkout since we had a late flight, and weā€™re especially grateful for her support during the tsunami alert. Terri was the first to inform us and provided clear guidance on where to go and what to do.We are so thankful. If we ever return to Hawaii, this is definitely the place weā€™d love to stay again. Highly recommended - you wonā€™t be disappointed!

Lovely, well equipped condo

This is the nicest vrbo/vacation rental that we have stayed at in 40 years. The unit is beautiful and stocked with everything you could want to enjoy a tropical vacation. Terri is super communicative and helpful. The location is in a quiet bit of beach close to shopping and restaurants. We saw whales from the balcony!

Beautiful condominium in a beautiful location!

This was the perfect place for my wife, my sister, and I to stay for a week in Maui. The property is spacious and had just about every possible amenity that we could have asked for. The beds were very comfortable, and the deck overlooking the pool and ocean was terrific. The location is excellent for going to all the things that you might want to do on Maui. Also, a very nice beach park literally just a few steps away from the property. The owner was wonderful and responded to every question we had. You canā€™t go wrong if you decide to stay here. I hope weā€™ll be able to come back soon.

Wonderful!!!

This condo is amazing!!!! Itā€™s in a great location, wonderfully stocked and the hosts were amazing to work with!! The mornings on the balcony drinking coffee and watching whales started the days off right and the evening walks on the nearby beach or the kids swimming in the pool was the perfect ending each evening! We would definitely stay here again!!!

Great vacation place!

Everything about this condo was excellent and as advertised. We used the communal grills a lot and the condo had all possible kitchen and grill equipment. The location was so convenient as a jumping off place for all parts of the island. The property manager was always available and so considerate of our needs.

Perfection

It was such a gift to stay here. The place was well maintained, was very comfortable, and had everything we needed for trips to the beach. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and look out at the bay, seeing whales in the distance. Terri was a thoughtful and well-prepared host. Can't recommend this property enough.

Beautiful - Family friendly

Beautiful property. 10pm quiet observed. Beach right behind the property. Our grandkids boogie boarded every day. My husband and grandkids walked out in the water a short distance to watch the turtles. We will definitely be back.

Kanai a Nalu has been our favourite accommodation for many years. The ocean views and whale watching from the lanai as well as the ease of access to the pool, beach, bbq's made it the perfect location to bring the whole family. This particular unit is well furnished, has updated air conditioning, and is located a short distance from the elevator. We will be back!

Great trip

We had a wonderful time in Maui!! The condo was true to its description, had everything we needed. The grounds are small and quiet, we had such a busy itinerary so the property was suitable for our needs . We were 20-30 minutes from most of our chosen beach locations . Highly recommended Mill house Inn for a dinner - just gorgeous property and 9 minutes from the condo ! Go before sunset as the grounds are not to be missed

Lovely condo, excellent location, a dream vacation!

We loved our vacation in this condo! It's outfitted with everything you need and we made good use of the cooler, beach chairs, and beach towels. The location is perfect, right on the edge of Sugar Beach which allowed for magical long walks along the beach. There was nothing better than enjoying morning coffee on the lanai, watching the whales breach or blow. Terri is extremely organized and wonderful to deal with. Everything went smoothly and we're already looking forward to our next trip!

What a perfect location. Close to everything, but far enough away. We swam with the turtles everyday, walked on the beach and swam in the pool- the comfy beds where great afterward. We appreciated the washer and dryer. We walked to the Maui Ocean Center. Cooking was simple in the well stocked kitchen. We hope to return! Thank you for sharing your home!

Great stay overall

Overall, not much more to add to the other glowing reviews. The condo was great, fully stocked, with a wonderful view of the ocean from the lanai. Parking was easy, the pool was clean and warm, and the complex was in great condition overall. Another bonus was that the beds were quite comfortable.I should also add that Terri is such a thoughtful and communicative host. You can tell how passionate she is about doing what she does - it comes through in so many details, big and small.A minor heads up is that the beach a short walk from the condo is just ok - it's a nice place to sit with some trees for shade, but the water wasn't the best for swimming (at least in February) due to rocks and lack of visibility. That said, the condo is an easy drive to some other local beaches.

This is the thirteenth year that we have managed dad's beloved condo on Maui.
Sadly, we lost our dear dad May 2020.
Our dad was a veterinarian, and at one time in our lives we had 3 cats, 2 dogs, 4 tortoises, and a beehive in the backyard. We now have families of our own, which, of course, include our beloved pets!
Our families live in Davis, Sacramento and Rocklin, California.

One of the reasons that dad was drawn to Kanaā€˜i a Nalu and the Maā€˜alaea Village area was that it was on a dead-end street. He loved the quiet slow-paced atmosphere of the area, yet he also loved that he could walk to the harbor, to dinner or to the aquarium. The condo backs up to undeveloped fields and faces the ocean, giving it a secluded feeling while still being close to Maā€˜alaea Village amenities.

When the weather is blistering hot on other parts of the island, Maā€˜alaea Bayā€™s consistent breezes keep the air comfortable.

Also, if you want to explore the island, Kanaā€˜i a Nalu's central location on the isthmus makes visiting other parts of Maui ideal.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

One of our favorite things to do while at Kanaā€˜i a Nalu is to use the grill in the garden area. The welcoming atmosphere has allowed us to meet guests from all over the country and abroad too (there are often visitors from Alaska and Canada in the winter months).
