As someone who has been coming for 30 years, you and your family have probably stayed at many places and to have enjoyed this home makes us feel great. Thank you kindly for staying at the home. Unfortunately after years of renting this home and paying for many damages, I have had to put fines in place to protect the home. I have had cigarette burns on a brand new kitchen table, a whole window was broken, missing items (too many to list), furniture destroyed, etc. I always say, if an item breaks, please let me know and if it an easy fix, I do not charge, in fact I have only had to charge a guest perhaps 3 or 4 times in 20 years. Normal wear and tear is perfectly fine and expected but not abuse of a home which fortunately 97% of my guests are wonderful, pleasant to deal with and careful, these fines are for the 3%. My intent is not to intimidate but rather to make the guest aware before there is an issue. I am thrilled that you found me responsive and loved the home and location as that is what vacation is all about.

I appreciate the mention of the baths and kitchens because we designed them ourselves and it is not something I do normally.
