Great place for a family reunion

Early June Vaca

Beautifully set in the trees, a short .3 mi walk to the private beach in a private club setting. All the bedrooms are perfect for a family getaway. A house large enough to be together and get some time away if you need it. Greg couldn’t have been nicer.

Something for everyone

We enjoyed our 5 day vacation here. It was the perfect amount of space for 4 adult couples and with the layout, great privacy and space for everyone, too. We appreciated the greenery and surrounding trees and the short walk to the private beach. We’d love to come back in future years!

Extraordinary stay

This property is extraordinary. The layout is architectural genius--with a mix of inside and outside that is also outside and inside, as well as ample areas for both privacy and public gatherings. The street is nothing but bucolic bliss. We are staying here again, no doubt about it. The hosts were very accomodating and friendly. What more could you want?

Relaxing and Gracious Home

Our extended, multi-generational family enjoyed the spread-out layout of the property, and we especially appreciated the large screened-in porch area. The walk to the beach is easy though you do have to be careful crossing the Coastal Highway. There was a great selection of beach chairs and toys to borrow. The kitchen was really well-equipped for a vacation rental; we were impressed with the quality of cookware. Also, the two rain shower heads were great!

Loved it! Coming back every year!

My family and I had an incredible time. So much so that by day 2 of our 5 day stay, we were making plans for next year. The house is so wonderful and conveniently located. Above else Greg (the owner I think!) Was so helpful and responsive. Can't wait to come back!

Best rental in Middlesex Beach

Charming house with all the amenities of home. Spacious rooms to spread out and relax inside and on the screened porch and large deck overlooking large grassy front yard. Get away from the crowds on the private Middlesex Beach and take a lovely stroll or bike ride throughout the quiet streets of Middlesex on the bay side. Found our dream vacation rental in this gem.

Great house.

We had a great time at the beach for the week. The house had everything we needed, indoor and outdoor spaces to relax and be with family. Mostly we cooked at home, road bikes or walked to the beach, just spent a fun week at the beach. Loved 4 bathrooms, everything was clean and comfy. We plan to return next year.

lovely newly renovated property

what a gorgeous house! our large family felt perfectly at home, never cramped. we hosted our next of kin staying down the road for dinner several times and that was easy too. the kitchen was well equipped. the whole house is newly renovated in a stylish way. we would definitely return. we loved the two large screen porches in addition to the big front deck.

A Vacation to Remember

We had one of the best family vacations ever at this charming, well-equipped, comfortable and beautifully laid out home in an ideal location. The private beach was wonderful and only a short walk away, made easier by the provided beach cart. The layout of the home provided lots of space to gather, chat, play games and celebrate 2 birthdays. The beds were comfy and the beach theme throughout the house fit right in with our "Under the Sea" themed parties. Loved the privacy, the trees and the decks. The kitchen was well-equipped with all of the pots, pans and dishes we needed. The Dollar General and Farmer's Market at the end of the street were certainly an added plus, providing just about everything we needed. The decks and porches (with fans) were a favorite place to sit with our family and "catch up", as we all live a distance from each other. The owners were so pleasant and accommodating and quick to reply to any questions or concerns. We will certainly return when next we come to Bethany Beach. Thank you Brenda and Greg!

So peaceful but close to the beach

We really enjoyed staying at this beach house! The new addition is lovely, and the older part is really quaint and well laid out and decorated! We especially liked the two separate bedrooms off of the porch, the kids loved them too, still close but sort of apart from the adults. It was very peaceful sitting on the screened in porch, one morning we even saw a Mama deer and her two fawns right outside the porch! it was also lovely to have so many different areas to hang out in. The house was well stocked with the basics and we loved the fact that we didn't need to bring beach chairs or a wagon, or a beach umbrella, or boogie boards! And the location was perfect, close enough that we could walk to the private beach but far enough so that it was very quiet. Didn't really realize how nice it was to have access to a private beach till we got there, not so many people which was awesome!

Charming beach cottage

The house is in a lovely setting, surrounded by trees and close to the beach. The design of the house is very unique with windows and screens all around you. It provides a charming, relaxing atmosphere, although the furnishings could use some upgrades. The owners were very responsive, and I would definitely stay here again.

A Relaxing Stay in Delightful Surroundings

This is a lovely beach house, well maintained and tastefully decorated, with a charming porch, garden, and deck. The description is accurate and the photos were very helpful when we planned our stay. We appreciated the amenities; the owners seemed to anticipate our every need, and we felt at home. I would recommend this property without reservation. The kitchen is fully stocked, and we cooked and grilled during our stay; we also had a fabulous meal at Just Hooked in Fenwick.

Our family started vacationing in this area in the early 1990's and found the area to be very quiet and family oriented, yet close to nightlife and other exciting activities.

The property is located in a very nice, shaded, wooded area yet only two blocks (500 meters) from a private beach. When you look left at the Sea Colony umbrellas and right at South Bethany, you'll understand what makes this private beach experience unique.
