Island Edge Drive 28 welcomes you to Sunset Island! A beautiful community located on the bayside at 67th Street. Feel the luxury as you enter the gated community just two blocks from the beach. For swimmers, enjoy indoor and outdoor pools along with a kiddie pool. Indoor pool closed from 2/17/26-3/9/26. All ages will enjoy the fun of the interactive fountains. Have fun in the sun on the private beaches around the island. You can also use the Clubhouse, fitness center, and walking trails. Sunset Island has something for everyone in your family! This property is a 4BR townhouse. Bed sizes include 1 King, 2 queen beds, a pyramid bunk with a trundle, and a double sleep sofa. The Indoor pool will be closed for maintenance from 2/17/26 to 3/9/26.
Guest must supply bed linens, towels, paper goods and soaps. An optional linen package is available for purchase for this property and would be delivered to the condo on your day of arrival and picked up on your day of departure. The package would include sheet sets for each bed and towel sets equaling the maximum occupancy of the condo.
This property rents Saturday to Saturday in season and any 3 nights off season. Non refundable parking/facility fee $100 Jan-April and Oct-Dec, $150 May 1-23 and Sept 13-30, $200 all other dates. Includes 6 facility passes, add'l passes available for $75 each. No trailers permitted. Non-smoking, non-vaping property. No pets, please. Property owner does not permit group rentals to guests under the age of 25.

The house was laid out as expected as we have stayed in similar homes in the past. Great location. However, the house is in need of updates and repairs. Furniture is very old and the outside shower doesn’t work. Seems to be a pretty bad leak in the garage. With a little TLC this place would get much better reviews. We did have a nice time though.

Sunset Island Perfection

Great townhouse, easy check in, extremely clean. We found that the fridge was dead upon check so we notified the owner. It was replaced with a brand new unit immediately, which was greatly appreciated. Thanks so much and we will return!

Worked for us

Good location and amenities for a family with 2 young children. Security for getting in and out of the pool area was a little annoying (and inconsistent in how it was enforced). A standard playground would be nice...overall everyone was satisfied. No recycling anywhere on the island seemed odd for a place built to be environmentally conscious

Townhouse nice, gated community not for us

I would suggest letting people know about all the pool rules before they book. Found them to be a little over the top. I had water in my cup and was told I had to dump it before entering the pool area because the guards thought I was lying about having water.

Awesome gated community!!

The place had everything we needed for our family of 10. Plenty of space, dishes, grill, and other things on site to make a vacation easy. With a good bit of amenities outside the home. There were a couple things that needed attention. The furniture on the decks were not in the best of shape, which kind of sucked because we love sit out talking while enjoying the ocean breeze. The one table was metal and the corner was broken and the corner was very sharp and rusty. We just turned it around and didnt use it. Extra fees were a down fall as well, but weren't too crazy. If I'm bringing 10 guests, than all those guests should be able to go to the pool without paying. I would stay here again!!

Safe place but not in good shape

Safe an awesome neighborhood. Big space to accommodate a large party and a perfect location for OCMD. However, we discovered major plumbing issues throughout the house. Our toilet clogged multiple times and our shower clogged as well. The first day we arrived the toilet overflowed and flooded down to the kitchen space through the high hat lights... Help was quick to arrive and super friendly, yet we still had plumbing issues the entire stay. Multiple things broken upon arrival and you will definitely need to supply your own bathroom soap, toilet paper, paper towels and hand towels. We were not even able to find a broom at the property.

Perfect for a weekend away with the friends

The townhouse was perfect for what we needed it for. We were in town for a concert festival and served its purposes. It was big enough for the all of us. The master bed was very uncomfortable in our opinion. The rest of the group agreed saying they had uncomfortable beds too. One of the guys staying in the numbed room ended up sleeping on the couch which he said was more comfortable. Make sure to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, and dishwasher pods because this isn’t available in the unit (we ended up buying pods and left them there for the next guests). We purchased the linen package and upon arrival we noticed it wasn’t there. It was a quick call and fix to the rental company and was addressed right away. They dropped off bags of clean linens for us. Location was close to lots of restaurants and was in a very safe neighborhood. Overall would come back to stay.

Great location & Pretty neighborhood but......

The house wasn't cleaned upon arrival. We had to wait the next day for it to be re-cleaned and the cleaning company failed to show until late afternoon as opposed to the 1130am promise. We were trying to stay out of the house for them, but they showed right as we were returning from the beach, after a second phone call asking where they were. Overall it was a nice place, but not necessarily compared to other properties in the same location. With that said, I appreciated not having a lot of nicer things due to having kids staying with us. The beds were pretty bad. The full bed in the bunk room was impossible to sleep on with springs popping on your back. The pillows were terrible. If those two things were replaced, we would consider renting again. Sunset Island is really nice, but the cost of the xtra pool passes is pretty outrageous. You only get six passes for a 12 person house. The rest would cost $70/each. We were also a bit shocked that there was a $110 charge for the first six passes/parking passes upon arrival. I feel that should have been included in the upfront cost, or at least warned about BEFORE booking.

Hi Jamie, Thank you for taking the time to review our property at Island Edge. I am sorry that you experience cleaning issues, but we're glad that you called us so we could send the cleaners back to help you. We would prefer is no one ever had any issues at all, but if you do, we are certainly here to help. As far as the fees, they are always disclosed in advance of your arrival. The Sunset Island fees are disclosed in the property description, they are listed on our website and then again on your lodging agreement. We have no control over the fees charged but we always let our guests know by printing it clearly on clearly on your reservation confirmation papers. We are sorry of there was any confusion.

Sunset Island townhouse

Loved the location which was in a secure and quiet community. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools and the walking path that goes around the island. That was a nice walk for us every morning. It is a short and convenient walk to beach.

Birthday Getaway

The property was beautiful. The house was clean. The only difference from the listing was the house did not have the futon as shown. I did email prior to our stay to ask if the futon folded down and was told yes. So not sure if something happened with it prior to our stay. There was an air mattress left to use instead, so everything was taken care of. For us this was no issue. The check in process was easy, check out was even easier. Everyone working for the community was friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Property, Needed a Few Updates

Pros: This home was perfect for a big group. I cannot say enough good things about the property it is in - pool/bar(6 passes included), private beach, bayside seating, cafe on premises, and overall had a very upscale southern resort feel. The screened porch was a great touch for hanging out with the family. Great distance to/from all restaurants and attractions. You will feel very safe! Cons: During our stay we had to call maintenance multiple times due to missing smoke alarms, light bulbs, and a broken shower head. The futon was also missing. However, the office and maintenance crew were very efficient and came right away to provide us with an air mattress and other essentials. They should also issue more than 6 pool passes, since this home can accommodate up to 12 people (extra passes cost $70 per person).

Absolutely Amazing

We went down for a bachelorette weekend, and when we all walked in we was amazed! Everything was gorgeous, and clean! The pictures don’t do justice! The neighborhood was super nice and quiet. All around amazing, will be renting again!

Best little community in midtown

I wish i could buy a home here. The house was amazing for our large family and i felt safe being there. It feels like you are in your own small town.

Could Be Better

The rental experience at this location could have been better. First, the house accommodates up to 12 people. However, we were only given 6 pool passes for a party of 10! Additional pool passes were $70 per person!! Second, we had to either rent a sheet/towel package for about $140+ or bring our own. I feel as though sheets and towels should have been inclusive. The property itself along with the physical location was nice.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. Unfortunately we do not have anything to do with the amenities or the cost of them at Sunset Island, although we do communicate it you ahead of time so you know and are not surprised. It is the norm in OC to bring or rent linens in private properties.

Sunset Island

The condo was beautiful. Very roomy and clean. We didn’t realize it was four levels before we got there. That made it all the better, though. The garage door busted our first day and we were told our car was going to be towed if we parked anywhere else. We couldn’t believe that it took a day for someone to get us a temporary parking pass. That was a crazy first night. Thankfully the door was fixed the next day and we didn’t have to worry about being towed. Not enough light bulbs, some blinkers and some not working at all.. These are minor issues. I would recommend this property and we would definitely consider staying again.
