Jamie V. @ Sun & Surf was great! They made us feel right and home and helpful incase we had any questions or issues. It was a very smooth and hassle free check in and out.The unit was very clean and smelled really good when we can it. The bed and shower were great. The property is in a good location. We had a lot of trouble with the wifi. The information book gave a network and password to connect to, but we couldn't get a connection on our phones. After a lot of back and forth with the host, Jamie, who gave us a different password to try, then a different network to try connecting to, and no resolution, we befriended our neighbors next to us and they kindly gave us their network and password that worked great!Even though the pods drawer for their coffee machine says coffee &tea there were no tea pods. We asked if they could provide tea, but they said they didn't have any. Not one of our better experiences. We'll stick to an something other tha VRBO next time.

The room was comfortable and well appointed. Parking is an issue. There is no dedicated parking, it's whatever you can find on the street. There is also construction going on downstairs so it was loud during the day and at night you could hear the music from the bar downstairs. There are also no curtains so it's bright at night with the outside lights and bright at 6am with the sun. Wifi did not work at all while I was there as well.

NOT IDEAL

I knew from other reviews there was no working hair dryer in the room, brought my own. Others said it was not easy to work the TV, I did not believe that. We could not watch TV, I think it was due to no internet. We called Saturday morning and reported no internet, my husband has to have internet when we travel, he still has to work. They said someone would be by to check it. Saturday night still no internet. Sunday he called again because there was still not internet. Sunday night they brought us a temporary "hot spot" until it could be repaired, that was a joke. I can not say this was/is always a problem with the property, but I will say we will not stay here again.

Great location, priced too high

First of all, we have stayed at this property the last 3 years. In the past we have stayed 2 nights over the July 4th. This year the property went to VRBO and the price doubled. We decided to stay only 1 night due to this price increase. The property now has VRBO rules such as, check out 10am, remove the bed linens, take out the trash. Hair dryer didnt work. TV is impossible to work. At this price I expect more, Unfortunately we will not stay here in the future. Great location but ruined by these faults.

Review of stay

Just love the sweet village of Swansboro, the Sunday evening concert was a great ending to nice stay, the State Rooms have best seats for Bandstand!On another note, the hair dryer does not work. I was disappointed that no TV OTHER THAN STREAMING WAS AVAILABLE. I did not bring passwords etc. Basic TV is minimal in my opinion. A special alert of this prior to departing for trip would have made me bring passwords.

The Perfect Anniversary Getaway!

We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary here and it was perfect. The room was clean, ease of access, and great communication with the owner. Omg, there’s a fresh bagel shop right next door, many local restaurants and boutiques within walking distance. The locals were very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed it all! We also spent a day at the Outer Banks, and a day at Emerald Isle. Thank you and we will definitely return!

My husband and I wanted to visit the area to find property to purchase. We stayed in Swansboro. What an excellent stay we had! The condo was exceptionally clean, perfectly located, quiet, comfortable and they were extremely easy to communicate with. We ordered take out because we had our dog with us and had a wonderful dinner and bottle of wine out on the deck. We ended up heating the leftovers the next night for dinner as well. Everything in downtown Swansboro was within walking distance. Such a clean and friendly town!! It would be awesome to dock your boat, walk around, have a bite to eat and be on your way. Perfect!! Everyone in town was so so nice and a joy to be around!

Time away

Great location, plenty of restaurants, and one of the best views downtown. My stay was during the Christmas season and I felt like I was in a movie.. :-)

Perfect Spot

The room was perfect for our weekend stay. Very comfortable and convenient to what we were looking for, and that was to be in downtown Swansboro. Beautiful picturesque town with great restaurants and shops.
