Spacious Cottage on Lake James - Outdoor Firepit, Large Deck to Enjoy Lake Views

Enjoy beautiful Lake James in this unique lakeview cottage just footsteps from the most serene cove on the lake. Prepare your meals in the fully stocked, large kitchen or have a BBQ and enjoy the beautiful surroundings on two decks.

During the day, cruise the lake with our kayaks or bring your own lake toy--the cove has it's own private boat launch. This 3 bd/2 bath home has two dedicated work spaces, Starlink Wifi, living room, dining room, modern media room, and comfortable Nectar beds.

The in-ground pool is available for guests from May 15 - Sept. 1

The space:
First Floor: Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Wet Bar, Master Bedroom with ensuite master bathroom, walk-in shower, dedicated work space.

Second Floor: Media/Family Room, bedroom with bunkbed (2 twins), Guest Bedroom with queen bed and a pullout queen sofa bed (area can be sectioned off), dedicated workspace, laundry, bathroom

Outdoor space: First Floor Deck with Outdoor Dining Area and Propane Grill, second floor deck has seating areas and porch swing

We loved our stay at this cottage! Everything we needed for a perfect family vacation! Super clean, well stocked, excellent communication! Neighborhood is hard to get in and out of with a large vehicle and the community access is super steep but the pubic put in is just a short drive away for any needs! Would definitely visit here again.

Beautiful house and property. Host was great to communicate with. Easy check in. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. We prepared all of our meals at the house and had everything we needed. Individual mini splits make it nice to control the temperature of the area you are in. We only used one bed, but it and the sheets were comfortable. All the furniture is very inviting and cozy. The outside deck areas are very nice and relaxing. We enjoyed many moments on both decks. The pool area is very nice. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate for us to enjoy it very much. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Very Fun!

Great trip! The description for access to kayaks was good I would have concerns if bringing a boat to the location. However, there are other public boat accesses on the lake with better condition to launch from. Accommodations were comfortable. There were no steak knives( encountered that after grilling & setting outdoor table but we made it work!). Tons of pool toys thank you! Coffee maker was perfect! We saw deer & enjoyed the pool very much. Lot’s of stairs inside & out but good for the calves lol… would definitely stay again!

This place was pretty close to "as advertised." The owner was responsive and kind. The upstairs bed is extremely comfortable. The AC worked well. The pool was a really nice amenity.If you have a hard time with steps, this is not the property for you. But if you don't the two levels and the deck provide some great places to relax.Extremely close to the Lake James Marina. There are also places close by to get those food items you forgot. The lake view is nice, I bet in the fall, this is a real gem.Would stay here again.If there was one thing we wished we knew before booking is that while you can see the lake, access is at a community ramp, a short walk away. They have kayaks that we didn't use. Also there was a lot of debris in the water, so we went to the state park to swim, and used the pool a good bit. Also, when you get in, order pizza from the Roma restaurant - wood fired and a great find. The owners have done a nice job with the place and provide nice essentials for you to enjoy.

My daughter‘s wedding

The house was located exactly where we needed it to be. Which means they gave us great instructions on location and any app hazards that were along the way, which were none because of the hurricane . The accommodations were exceptional. The host were very helpful with anything we needed. Everything that we hoped it would be. My main concern because I managed vacation homes for 12 years was with cleanliness and this one gets a big 10. I highly recommend this home. I happen to be there when the big freezing temperatures came. and they were prepared for it. With everything else they have to offer, this homewould be great for summertime vacationsbecause it’s located where you can see the lake, lake access, beautiful views and also it has a swimming pool and all outside amenities that you would need.

The house was very clean, had beautiful landscaping, and was beautifully decorated on the inside and outside. The home has 2 levels of balconies with a lot of seating and a porch swing. The pool was nice and the area around the pool was nice as well. The pool had many floats and pool toys, and places to sit and lounge by the pool. There was a grill at the house, but we didn’t use it. Everything is labeled and a booklet was provided that showed how to worked everything in the house. Everything you could need or want was provided. You can view the lake in every bedroom window in the house. There were kayaks that were available to use, but it was a little less than a 5 minute walk to get to them. The hill back up is a little steep walking to the lake. Parking was a little iffy, but it makes a loop around the lake so you do not have to turn around. I would not recommend bringing a boat there with the tight parking, unless you rent a spot on the marina to leave it during your stay. There was coffee, assorted teas, and cappuccinos provided along with a filtered water pitcher. All the spices and oils for cooking were provided. Also, sugar, creamer, and honey for the coffee and teas were provided. Hairdryers and body wash were provided along with cotton facial pads, cotton swabs, feminine hygiene products, and some other essential items were on hand. I really loved the organization, cleanliness, and being able to view the lake from the pool and several rooms in the house.

How was great with comfortable beds and lots of space. Places was fairly clean but definitely missed a few places. The kitchen had lots of cookware and other items.
