Classic Edgartown Colonial in Lovely Quiet Neighborhood

The main house has 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Main house sleeps 6 people. There is a full/queen bedroom on the first floor next to a hall bathroom. On the second floor, there is a spacious master bedroom with its own bathroom. Also on the second floor is a two twin bedroom next to a hall bathroom.

The loft area above the garages sleeps an additional four. The loft has 2 bedrooms (one king and two twins). There is no bathroom upstairs in the loft, but there is a small sink upstairs and a half bathroom off of the garage. The home also has an outdoor shower.

There is a U-shaped driveway in front with lovely gardens and abundant sun in the afternoons. Backyard has deck with gas grill and charcoal grill. Also an outdoor dining table and chairs with a large umbrella. The back deck gets sun in the morning.

Great Spot!

The property was just as advertised: clean, large, well-appointed, great location. Bart was vey accommodating as well. Wonderful spot that I’d definitely recommend.

Wonderful house, perfect location!

We stayed here with four kids and six adults and the layout of the house was perfect. Bart was very communicative and helpful, and made us feel right at home. Edgartown is a short walk (one mile), which gave us both privacy and accessibility. We had a wonderful stay!

Summer Vacation 2024

Great Edgartown location and property well sized for a family vacation. Close enough to walk to Town. House well equipped. Plenty of bedrooms and adequate bathrooms. EZ check in and out.

A large and lovely home

We came to MV and hosted several members of our son’s wedding party, so we had 9 adults in our group. The house and property are very nice and comfortable. The host could not have been more accommodating. We struggled a bit with electrical outlets in the master bath (repeatedly tripped the breaker and eventually didn’t even try to use them), but we just worked around that. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks Bart for renting to us!

Check-in was easy. Directions were clear and house was easy to find. However there was only one key for entry. The kitchen was outdated. Some of the floor boards were loose and sliding. The screen door to the kitchen was broken. Overall the kitchen met the needs with appliance and utensils available.

Multigeneration vacation

This house fit the bill. Master suite ( huge) for the Grandparents, two queen bedrooms for the adults , and separate bedrooms for the grandsons and granddaughters. Garage apartment worked well for one family. Location is great. Kids beach ( small waves) to the north and Katama beach ( big waves) to the south.

A very attractive house in a great location

We had a great stay in this large and attractively decorated house located in a very nice, quiet, and attractive neighborhood. The master bedroom suite (the bedroom, bathroom, and ante room) is HUGE! The kitchen has plenty of counter space and is well-equipped. The location is great because Google Maps shows it’s only a 1.2-mile bike ride or walk to the center of Edgartown and an 8-minute drive to South Beach. The stairs up to the garage bedrooms are steep and the garage bathroom is on the ground floor, but all things considered, this place is terrific! Bart was a terrific host and took care of minor issues expeditiously. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Great location, but the home is lacking a few things

Pros: Location is fantastic and the home is charming. Master bedroom is amazingly large and Luxurious. Cons: Beds are hard. Limited seating around the kitchen table The situation of the room above the garage is difficult. The bathroom in the garage is very small and on the ground floor, where the rooms are upstairs and there is no shower. Biggest drag was the garage smells moldy. Turns out we didn’t need this upstairs bedroom for half of our stay. That was a good thing.

MV our happy place

Overall everything was wonderful. Walk to town was as described by the owner (close and easy to find). Nicely stocked kitchen, sheets and linens were provided as well as many extras not expected. I would return next year and recommend this place to others. Thank you again for a wonderful use of your beautiful home

No Bathroom in Garage Loft

Good location in a lovely quiet neighborhood. House needs minor maintenance throughout. Be aware that the garage bathroom is not in the loft with the bedrooms as listed. It’s down a winding stairs in the garage. Maybe okay for kids/teens, but not safe for adults getting up in the night.

Great host - Great location

Overall experience was great- easy access to bike trails, beaches and Edgartown. Though some sections of the house were a little outdated, we really liked the property. Owner is very responsive. Well done.

Excellent Stay

We had a great one week at the house. The pictures I feel do not do justice - the living area and master bed/bath were great. We did not use the lower bedroom but seemed comfortable. The annex above the garages seemed comfortable but again we did not use those either (there was a paint smell going up though). Bart was very communicative and helped us in any way. The area was very nice and safe, and close to town. We did get stares from some neighbors as obviously the area is very private :) Will def try to stay there again.

Great house in great location!

The house was ideal for our extended family of 4 adult children, 2 spouses and 2 babies. We were able to easily walk into Edgartown and bike to the beaches. Bart, the landlord was extremely responsive to the one or two minor issues we had during our stay. We highly recommend the house!

It is a very pretty home and spacious. Was very comfortable for our family.

It is very inviting and all areas of the home were comfortable for relaxing. The outside patio and front yard are beautiful as well. Very convenient and close to home. It enhanced our Martha's Vineyard experience.

A beautiful house ideally situated.

A true Martha's Vinyard property. The upstairs Master bedroom is roomy; the adjoining bath is as well. You won't find a fancy kitchen but it is perfectly serviceable and very clean. The house lives well; we were able to watch TV, work puzzles and play dominos. Every thing is close; for those times we needed a cab, one was quickly available. Beautifully decorated in Martha's Vinyard fashion. Thank you to Bart for allowing is to stay.

A beautiful home

It is a beautiful home for us for this last week, but it was lacking in screens on the breezeway door so it could not be left open, and we sometimes ran out of hot water. Beautiful master bedroom.

Lovely circular drive in front with well kept gardens. Sleeps up to 10 people. Large family room with rustic country dining area. Beautiful spacious master bedroom and bath was added to home. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a new dishwasher. Easy access to nice outdoor deck dining and entertaining. Convenient outdoor shower for use after beach going.
