We loved the house, the location, all the amenities and the fact it was pet friendly. We highly recommend this rental. Our family came from 3 different states for a family vacation and all had a great time.

Very nice place. It was very clean and everything was as listed on the listing. There is a sign for "future elevator". As others have said - that would be a huge addition [and is needed for pets or older/elderly as it is ALOT of steps all the way up]. It was tough for my older dog but I made it work [carrying him up]. Also, not having TVs in the bedrooms is a let down. Luckily I saw someone post that before going and brought 1 small TV but that should be supplied. Cocktail pool is great! There was one small issue with the auto pump getting stuck but they came right out [minutes] and fixed it. I would DEF stay again [once the elevator is in!] due to my situation. 1 Block away from the beach.

Upon arrival, this home was amazing - everything we were expecting. It's spacious, newly done, beautifully decorated, well stocked, very clean, appliances newer, just gorgeous! It's very close to the beach (5 minute walk) and the small backyard pool was great for my 1.5 y/o grandson. It's a short walk to the downtown center. There were lots of beach toys, pool toys, a wagon, and beach/pool chairs. The decks on the 2nd and 3rd floors were so cozy and we had great views of the sunset. We would 100% stay here again except . . . the first night (Saturday) I saw my first (of 4) cockroaches. I called the office and left a message. Their answering service called right back but somehow I missed it. I spoke with them in the morning and they said they could send maintenance over (a Sunday) or have the exterminator there on Monday. I said Monday was fine. We saw and killed cockroaches on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday as well. Super gross! Maybe a S.C. common occurrence but this Michigan girl didn't like it. The exterminator came on Monday as promised. It did seem to fix the problem as we didn't see any more after the one (outside) on Tuesday. I think if it had been exterminated before we came, we likely wouldn't have seen any and my score would be an overwhelming 5-star across the board - I would revisit year after year. The office staff was great with responding to my calls and texts.

We understand your concern about the bugs and the prevention, of course, is pest control. Exterminators are sent out for monthly services and on calls like the one reported by you. We recently stayed at this rental house and overall had a very positive experience. The home itself is beautiful and comfortable. The location is excellent and made it easy to enjoy the surrounding area. We also appreciated that pets are allowed. An elevator is reportedly planned for the future, which would be a great addition.Currently, there is no elevator, so carrying heavy luggage, groceries, or other items up the stairs can be challenging. There are also no TVs in the master bedroom, any of the other bedrooms, or the outdoor living area, which may be disappointing for guests.Overall, this is a beautiful home in a great location with pet-friendly accommodations and plenty of potential. With the future elevator installation and a few accessibility improvements, it would be even better.
