Enjoy our Beautiful Spanish cottage with a newly remodeled kitchen, granite counter tops, dishwasher, full size refrigerator and appliances. Comfortable living room and dining room with hardwood floors and spectacular ocean views. A private family room with flatscreen television cable and DVD. A full bath with bathtub and skylight, a beautiful gated back yard with patio furniture and BBQ for entertainment as well as a washer and dryer for your convenience. Breathtaking views of Catalina Island and beach views from every room.

Local Laguna Summer events: Sawdust Festival, Festival of the Arts, Live Theater Productions Art-a-Fair, and the Famous Pageant of the Masters.

Laguna Beach is one of the most scenic cities in Sounthern California and is especially diverse with landforms that range from small sandy coves, rocky points and mountainous terrain that practically drops into the ocean. With diving, surfing, skim boarding, swimming, sunbathing and tidepools, kayaking, snorkeling/diving, wildlife viewing, hiking, boating, you will find yourself mesmerized by the beautiful Laguna Beach beaches.

The majority of the meters in Laguna Beach have two hour limits and charge $0.25 for each 15 minutes. Laguna Beach boast that it is the only city in Orange County that has its own public transportaion. The free shuttle runs during the day and nigh in the summer. The gray line bus route that takes you to the TOP OF THE WORLD brings you to our doorstep for a minimal charge. (see scheduled of times)

Perfect stay

We spent a great stay at the house. It was even better than the description on the website. The kids felt just like at home. We had everything we needed to cook, to go to the beach and to get relaxed. In addition the view was breathtaking !

Amazing stay, beautiful property!

I almost never write reviews, but just enjoyed our stay so much I had to. The house is even more beautiful in person and Maggie could not have been a nicer host! We came with our 14-month old daughter and she had a pack-n-play waiting for us. We all loved the house and the views are just amazing!! We can't wait to come back!

Gorgeous views and sweet house

Comfortable and well furnished house with many special touches. Maggie is welcoming and helpful. Amazing views and sunsets from the living room , bedroom, and yard. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and yard, kitchen well stocked, all around great stay for our family of 5.

Peaceful retreat

My husband and I really enjoyed the peaceful retreat offered by this lovely house. The ocean views were amazing, and there were lovely seating areas both inside and out. The bedroom was very comfortable. The drive to town was easy and took just a few minutes. Will definitely come back

Perfect stay

The cottage is lovely. It's open, airy and very clean. The views are amazing - as others have mentioned, the pictures really don't do it justice. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. It's only a short drive to town. The location is very convenient to L.A., San Diego, and Disneyland but there are also many activities and attractions within Laguna Beach and the surrounding communities. We would definitely stay here again.

Beyond Words

This house surpassed our expectations. The views are amazing, the backyard is so spacious. Great for entertaining and watching the sunset over beautiful Laguna beach. The kitchen is updated and has all the amenities you would ever need. The bed was very comfortable. The owner met us and it was a great personal touch! She was very accommodating. I highly recommend staying at this property. You will not be disappointed.

Spectacular Laguna Beach cottage

We found this Spanish cottage to be perfect in every way. It boasts absolutely charming Spanish architecture with all the modern conveniences and is beautifully/tastefully decorated. The ocean views are breathtaking, with comfortable spaces both inside and out to enjoy the view. For techies, the WiFi works great and the cottage is equipped with 2 flat screen TVs with comprehensive satellite TV programming. The beds are comfy and cozy. The owner/host is extremely friendly, accessible and accommodating -- we were even greeted with a welcome basket filled with goodies and a nice bottle of wine. Highly recommended -- we truly didn't want to leave!

Fabulous house!!

Maggie your house is wonderful! We were so relaxed and enjoyed our stay and your house so much we will return!!! Traveling from VA and the time difference made it extra nice to have a great yard to sit and enjoy the view sipping coffee! We didn't to leave! We used to live in Orange County and came back for a visit and this exceeded our expectations! We love the parks at Top of the World so it was nice to be half way up and half way to the beach! We especially loved Penguin cafe at the bottom for breakfast!!!! We hope to return next year!

Beautiful view

My sons and I had the pleasure of staying at this very beautiful home. The house is absolutely gorges. The picture perfect view of the Laguna coastline and the sunset is breathtaking. The house has a very relaxing and quite atmosphere with bubbling water features. The furnishing is very comfortable and relaxing. The owner was very accommodating and checking for our arrivals. I wish we could have stayed longer. For three nights we stayed, we enjoyed the tranquility and the quietness of the house very much. I will recommend 100% this place for families with teenage children.

AMAZING

The cottage exceeded our expectations! The views were incredible and it was closer to town than we were expecting as well. Our 18 month old really enjoyed the backyard and we were very appreciative of the pack and play as well as children's books etc that Maggie provided. Stop at the Whole Foods on your way in and pick up your breakfast items/coffee/tea etc so you can fully take advantage of the beautiful mornings over looking the ocean <3 We will be making this a regular thing :)

Great views and charming home

We enjoyed every moment staying at this charming home. I can confirm the views are way better in person as you will see in other reviews. The home has everything you need, the location is just a three minute drive from the PCH and downtown Laguna Beach, so it’s close, but far enough away to enjoy the piece away from town. There is only a little road noise from the road out front, so I don’t advise opening the front windows when relaxing inside. The kitchen is stocked with cookware Incase you want to cook and I loved the amount of counterspace for cooking you laying out food for buffet style. We will be back on a regular basis as we couldn’t have been happier.

Great views - cozy but needs work.

While I realize that we rented the small home in the middle of summer, the property is undermanaged. In order of nuisance, the BBQ grill did not work, the windows were dirty, the floors were not as clean as they should be and the outdoor garbage cans were full from the prior guests. There were other minor issues that I need not mention here, but otherwise, the location is great as well as the views of Main Beach.

A slice of paradise

This beautifully renovated cottage, located in the hills above Laguna Beach, provided an ideal spot for a peaceful, relaxing weekend retreat. The place was immaculate and tastefully decorated, with fresh flowers, scented candles, and a bowl of fruit awaiting a two hungry travelers -- nice touch. (The owner even provided new toothbrushes, in case we forgot ours.) Seated in the comfy chairs that face the picture window, we spent hours enjoying the magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean. It got a little chilly in the evening, so we built a fire in the fireplace and were quite cozy. The well-appointed kitchen had everything a gourmet cook could need to prepare and serve a great meal. We dined al fresco in the perfectly landscaped back yard, listening to the birds sing and counting our blessings that we had found this slice of paradise. We will return.

AMAZING

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home. The house is AMAZING! The first thing you notice is the picture perfect view of the Laguna coastline. Not a better view to see breathtaking sunsets. The atmosphere is quiet and set up in a very tranquil and serene way, with bubbling water features. When on vacation we normally go out to eat most meals, however we enjoyed the house so much that we found ourself wanting to eat at the house and enjoy the settings. The owner goes above and beyond to ensure that all guests are comfortable for there stay. She met us at the house, got me, my wife, and 2 kids toothbrushes, just incase we forgot ours. She even coordinated with me prior to arrival and got a brand new pack and play for my 10 month to sleep in. You simply dont find that kind of attention to detail with most rentals. All of the amenities at the house are well maintained and high quality. Anyone going to the Laguna area, or better yet anyone traveling to Southern California this is the house you want to stay at. We are already planning our return trip.

Asked to leave after less than 24 hours, paid in full for 3 days

Racial discrimination: On 5/28/2022, I checked in at the cottage and I parked on the street. A neighbor came out and started taking pictures of our vehicle and asked us if we were the caterers. There was nothing to indicate that we were caterers except race - I am Filipino. Not only was the neighbor’s comment offensive, it was also extremely poorly timed given that we had just come from a funeral viewing of a family member and were grieving the loss. I brought this up to the owner during our conversation about the house rules and she said, "Don't give me that, I am also brown." This comment was also offensive. It was confusing as well because we had not met face to face, so I did not know how she could know my racial background. I read VRBO’s policy and it says that “Vrbo does not tolerate acts of harassment, violence, or discrimination. We expect all members of our community to demonstrate respect and tolerance in all interactions with one another, both online and offline. If you mistreat people, there’s no space for you on Vrbo”. Non-disclosure of a smart device: Because of the owner’s offensive remark, I was concerned that she was watching me without my consent through the Ring camera on her door. I covered up that camera because I felt racially profiled and felt very uneasy about being watched without my consent. I was told by my husband that there were 2 other cameras on the property which were not disclosed to me. VRBO’s policy says that "smart devices which may not be activated remotely are allowed provided the guest is informed of their presence and given the option to deactivate." The owner stated during a phone conversation on 5/29/2022 that because her remote camera activates every time someone obstructs it, she is asking me to leave the rental. I was not informed of the presence of the cameras nor was I given the option to deactivate such a remote device. Emotional distress: The e-mail and phone interactions with the owner have caused me tremendous emotional distress in the midst of dealing with the loss of my brother and arranging his funeral. All I wanted was to find a place that would be a sanctuary for me and my husband at such a difficult time. The viewing was on Saturday, the funeral service was on Sunday and the cremation was scheduled for Tuesday. I paid for the place in full to check out on Tuesday. I saw the email to vacate the house after I had just delivered the eulogy for my brother on Sunday.

The actual location and house are beautiful.

The actual stay was very comfortable. The property is located in a very quiet neighborhood up on a bluff overlooking the ocean. The owners were accommodating by allowing us to check in one hour earlier than scheduled. However, 8 days prior to our vacation rental starting, the property manager contacted me and requested another $200 in payment fees. Stating "she had forgotten to adjust the rates"; six weeks after we had rented the property. She also had said if we didn't want to pay the $200 extra that she would cancel our reservation. This would have left us with 8 days to find a place to stay on a big weekend in Laguna Beach. I was not very happy about that. Communication with whoever Maggie is was minimal and frustrating. Furthermore, when emailing Maggie it shows a man named Neil. I didnt know who I was talking to. The wifi did not work the whole stay nor did the TV because it's hooked up to the Wi-Fi. There is no rule book for the property which led to some confusion as well. All in all the property is beautiful, and clean .

Laguna Escape

Loved this property. It was clean, decorated well and very comfortable. Views of ocean were fantastic. Neighborhood was great, and walking distance to beach/Laguna shopping & restaurants (since this is located in the hills of Laguna, the walk is healthy but doable). Can't wait for a return stay!

Peaceful week.

Property was great. Views spectacular. Home very comfortable. Just need a bigger couch or love seat for that big view to enjoy and two lounge chairs outside. Had a great time.

Perfect Solitude

This is a wonderful location with views of the ocean from every room. It is very well kept and highly recommended. The hosts were responsive and do an excellent job maintaining this property.

My family and I grew up in So. Cal. and we would spend all our summer vacations driving down to Laguna Beach. It was always a perfect place for our family vacations. We could spend hours in the tidepools. Many occasions we had the opportunity to save some marine life that would get trapped. On many occasions we would witness pools of Dolfins swimming and playing. Its a perfect place to relax and be grounded with the beauty of nature. Our dream was for someday to own a place we could call home in Laguna.

We shopped around for 2 years until we finally found our match, it was small and cozy with MESMERIZING VIEWS yet, what closed the deal was the large front and back yards. This would allow the children space to play without any fear of falling off a cliff. IT'S AMAZING AND WE LOVE IT!!!
