Starfish Cottage by Sandpiper | Near Beach

Welcome to the charming beach cottage at 1155 Summerwind, a guest favorite with its expansive, private porch that overlooks the serene fairway of the acclaimed Ocean Winds Golf Course. Whether it is morning coffee, an afternoon rest after the beach, dining al fresco, or a cocktail under the stars, the porch is a favorite spot.

Inside the cottage, an open floorplan leads to a dining and living area with hardwood floors and high, shiplap ceilings. The living area offers a cozy sectional couch, additional seating, and a large screen TV over the fireplace. The kitchen is well stocked with stainless appliances, a standard coffee pot, a Keurig coffee maker, ample cookware and serveware, and a table with four chairs. The dining table in the main living area seats six. Sliding doors off the living room and master bedroom lead to a large screened porch and deck that stretches across the back of the cottage and overlooks the golf course. A grill and smoker sit on the outside deck.

The spacious master suite, decorated in a bright, beachy palette of colors, features a king bed with an ensuite bath. A 32" HDTV, dresser, chair, closet, ceiling fan, and blackout curtains make sleeping in a breeze. The ensuite bathroom features a generous size granite vanity and a tub/shower combo.

The second bedroom is off the main living area. With a plush queen bed, dresser, closet, and ceiling fan, this room offers abundant light. It also has a sliding door with access to the back deck and blackout curtains. The third bedroom features a full bed and a twin bed, dresser, closet, ceiling fan, and blinds. In the hallway between the second and third bedrooms is the second full bath featuring a skylight, granite vanity, and a tub/shower combo.

The washer and dryer are located in the kitchen area for the convenience of guests.

• BEACH: 0.5 miles away. At least 2 beach chairs are provided at the property for guest use.
• CLUB AMENITIES: Digital Amenity Cards access is INCLUDED with your stay at no extra charge (a $55 daily savings). This offers access to the Beach Club pools (open seasonally), club dining, golf courses, and tennis courts (court fees and round of golf fees apply).
• POOL: Access to the two Seabrook Island Beach Club pools with the digital amenity card. The outdoor pool at the Seabrook Island Lake House is also included.
• PARKING: This property allows for a maximum of 3 vehicle gate passes. There is parking in the carport area. Parking on the pine straw is strictly prohibited.
• LSV GOLF CARTS: LSV golf carts are allowed at this property. LSVs require a gate pass and count as a vehicle towards the 3-vehicle maximum limit.
• CHILDREN: Children welcome.
• PET POLICY: Well-behaved dogs welcome. An additional pet fee applies.
• LONG-TERM RENTALS: This property is open to winter monthly rentals and long-term rentals. Please contact us for discounted monthly rental rates.
• PROFESSIONALLY LICENSED & MANAGED: Short-Term Rental License STR25-000305.
• ADDITIONAL INFO: Guest safety is always a priority. A fire extinguisher is located under the sink. Fitness center and indoor pool access at the Lakehouse are available for a daily rate of $16 per person. A $69 Non-Refundable Fee applies for $1500 of Damage Protection Coverage.

• LINENS, TOWELS, & STARTER-KIT OF SUPPLIES: Included in this rental, for the convenience of our guests, are comfortable, white linens and a selection of bath and hand towels, as well as washcloths. A starter set of hand soaps, bath soaps, shampoo, toilet tissue, paper towels, laundry detergent, dish detergent, dish soap, a kitchen sponge, and kitchen towels are included. Guests staying for an extended stay may need to purchase or bring additional supplies. Beach towels are not included (although towel service is available at the Beach Club).

• WASHER & DRYER: A washer and dryer are located in the kitchen area for your convenience. Should you require wash n fold service, please let us know.

• COFFEE MAKERS: A standard carafe coffee pot and a Keurig single-serve machine are on site. Please bring your own ground coffee for the carafe option or use your favorite Keurig K-cups.

• AMENITY CARDS: Amenity cards offer exclusive access to the Seabrook Island beach club, dining club, tennis, and award-winning golf. Without this card, access is prohibited. Amenity Cards are INCLUDED with this rental (a $55 day savings). Guests also have complimentary access to the uncrowded and private beaches, equestrian center, and the outdoor Lakehouse pool. The fitness center is accessible for a daily fee of $16 per guest. Whether you are fishing, crabbing, biking, kayaking, or shopping, there is something for everyone. Beginning January 1, 2025, pre-order forms will be mandatory for all guests wishing to use the outdoor Lakehouse pool. Please ensure that your completed form is submitted to the amenity office at least two weeks prior to your arrival to avoid a $10 late fee. Due to the volume of requests and the card preparation process, the office is unable to accept information over the phone.

• ISLAND ACCESS & PARKING: As the island is a gated, private island, each vehicle entering the island will require a gate pass for island access. Seabrook Island Property Association (SIPOA) charges a gate pass fee per vehicle. This property has a limit of 3 vehicle passes. This $45 fee per vehicle applies to guests staying 1 night to 179 nights. Our rental agency is responsible for collecting the fee. Gate pass name information for each car is due two weeks prior to your arrival. For each pass, a driver's name must be provided. Drivers may be required to show a valid driver's license when at the gate. Once a vehicle has a gate pass, any licensed driver can drive that vehicle. LSV vehicles (low-speed golf carts) require a pass and count toward the 3-pass limit.

• CHECK IN: For our guest's convenience, we offer a prompt, self-check-in process. Guests will directly check in at the property with a code for the keypad on the door. We, however, are always a phone call or text away. We offer as much assistance with the check-in process as needed. Our office is available to answer questions.

• CONTINUOUS MANAGEMENT & SERVICE: This property is proudly managed by Sandpiper. We are local and family-owned, and your stay is our priority. We are on the island, licensed, insured, and locally staffed. Our standard for your stay is what we would want and expect for our own vacation. We offer guests continuous, attentive service during the reservation process and throughout your time here. From the moment you book with us, in planning and preparing for your arrival, throughout your stay with us, and even after checking out and sharing your experience with us, we remain committed to your vacation experience and are here at any time to answer any questions that arise or concerns you have. We want you to have a relaxing, safe, and memorable trip.

• CLEANING: Our housekeeping teams are among the most detailed anywhere. Cleanliness is a hallmark of every stay. Our housekeeping teams are trained to use the best hygiene practices at all times. With the combination of these best detailed practices, our employees, clients, and guests should be safe from the spread of germs. We are one of the only companies that washes the bedcoverings (comforters, bedspreads, quilts) after every single stay.

• THE AREA: Guests will find that the area offers so much to do. With vast, uncrowded beaches, an array of recreational offerings, and the historic city of Charleston just 21 miles away, an adventure awaits you daily.

• IN THE EVENT OF A STORM: If a Mandatory Evacuation Order for Seabrook Island is given during the dates of your stay, The Owner/Host or the Property Management Company shall refund 100% of all deposits, payments, and / or monies paid by the traveler. Owner/Host or Property Management Company shall have no further liability with respect to the Reservation. Please note that if there is inclement weather in the other 49 states, prohibiting the traveler (or guests in traveler's group) from getting to Charleston, a refund will not be issued and, Owner/Host or Property Management Company shall have no liability with respect to the Reservation. During months where there is a potential for inclement weather, such as hurricane season, we strongly suggest travelers obtain insurance.

• POLICY ON SMOKING: No smoking please. Violators will be fined for in-home smoke damages.

• CANCELLATION POLICY: Free cancellations up to 30 days before your stay.

• PARTIES: This is an ideal property for making memories but this is NOT A PARTY PROPERTY!!

An air fryer would be very nice for two people. An electric plug outside for EVs (mine is an ev/hybrid - so no problems. Did I miss info about bike rental? Otherwise very nicely appointed. Good location. Nice location.

We truly appreciate your excellent suggestions regarding an air fryer and an exterior EV plug—we are always looking for ways to upgrade the guest experience and will definitely be sharing these ideas with the owner! As for the bikes, while they aren't included with this specific property, there are several fantastic local rental companies on the island that deliver right to the driveway.
