Summerwind Cottage



The Space:

1140 Summerwind Cottage has a wonderful beach style design. A spacious great room runs from the front to the back of the cottage and the elevation lets you enjoy the ocean breezes and the beautiful fairway views. This cottage has a large screened porch for swings and outdoor dining, a gas grill, an updated kitchen, hardwood floors, three flatscreen TVs, a Blu-Ray DVD player, and wireless internet so you can stay connected during your stay. An open-air outdoor shower is available (cold water only). It is within walking distance to all amenities, with fairway and wooded views.



This cottage includes a Seabrook Island amenity card with no additional fee! The fee is usually $50/day or $300 for the week, so this is a great added benefit of this property! The Amenity Card gives you access to the Beach Club (with two outdoor pools and a beach area), the restaurants, golf, tennis, the equestrian center, and the Lake House (with one outdoor pool, a fitness center, indoor pool). Some of these amenities do have their own fees associated with them as well: such as the restaurants, golf, tennis, the fitness center, and the indoor pool. When you book a reservation with us, we send you the information on how to obtain the Amenity Card, as it is obtained directly through Seabrook, not Beachwalker.



This non-smoking vacation rental property includes parking, 24-hour security in a gated community, central air conditioning, cable TV, internet, a DVD player, a fully-equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, linens and bath towels, a departure housekeeping service, and a starter supply of paper products and detergents.

Great place for a family to stay with kids. Our kids are 20 months and 6 years old and we had everything we needed to stay comfortably with them. Would recommend and would stay here again

Great location!

We stayed in this property so that 2 of our kids could run in the Kiawah marathon - it was clean, comfortable and just the right size for 6 adults.

Our arrival experience was awful. Property was in accessible due to excess rain and property managers (Vacasa) were totally uncooperative and actually hung up me twice while we tried to get another property we could aces a.Then called VRBO and was asked to send pictures of the flooding which I did and never heard anything back at all. Just awful Then another VRBO representative said we need to send them proof of purchase. Like we carry around our credit card statement at all times. Just a horrible experience all around.

The property was nice and the location to all the amenities was reasonable. The amenities were not within walking distance, but just a short car ride away. Overall, we had a nice vacation.

Comfortable

The place was great with good for family of 5. You do need either bikes or cars to get to the beach, but definitely easy riding distance to beach and pool. Amenity card was very nice to have with the house!

Loved it!

We absolutely loved the villa and Seabrook Island. Beautiful, peaceful, lots to do for outdoor lovers. This was our first visit and didn't want to leave! Only issue with the villa was the washer and dryer didn't really work very well.

Convenient for a Short Trip

A super last minute trip to our favorite island. The Summerwind cottages are great for short stays due to their location on the island and proximity to beach access points. This cottage was clean & tidy, but could have used more cooking utensils, pot/pan covers, and at least a few hand towels in the kitchen.

Great spot for families

Seabrook is a lovely private island with plenty of family friendly activities like pickle ball, golf, tennis, pools, beach, etc. Our only issue was this was a last minute booking, many of the activities that we wanted to do were fully booked. Christmas week is a popular time to be in Seabrook Island. House was great for our family of five and short bike ride to the beach.

Wonderful getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Comfortable, with great screened porch, 10-15 min walk from beach and pool

House is in a neighborhood but is quiet and feels private. Living area looks out through wonderful screened porch into very shady woods and golf course beyond. Pool and beach are less than 5 minute drive or 10-15 minute brisk walk. Our family would happily stay in this unit again if/when we return to the Seabrook area!

Summer Vacation

We have been coming to the island for years and this is the second year we have stayed in this property. The location is great. The house is generally clean and functional. The outdoor spaces and skylights could use some cleaning (lots of cobwebs, wasp nests, etc) and the ceiling in the master bath is peeling, but overall it is fine for the price and space.

Great location

Loved the screen porch, would have preferred only 1 room with twin beds, not two and We cook a lot when we come to beach--kitchen needs better utensils, especially the silverware. No large pot to cook crab legs (luckily I brought my own) and most pots you do have, have no lids.

Nice place

Clean and met our bedding needs perfectly. Could not get response to messages from Vacasa. When I called they said a 2hr wait to speak to a human being.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was adequate, once we finally located it on a dark rainy night. The single beds were rather rickety, in fact the headboard fell apart on one of them. The kitchen was well supplied. Hot water was not abundant.

Excellent!

This cottage is very clean and comfortable. The property manger was friendly and very responsive to all inquiries. The kitchen is fairly well equipped (lids for pots/pans???), the beds are comfortable, and plenty of towels were provided. My one suggestion would be better window coverings/blinds. We had a hard time sleeping past 6 am because it got so light in the house. Otherwise, we had a great trip—would definitely return.
