Mountain Top luxury cabin Cashiers Smokey Mountains NC USA

Unique property at 4900 feet elevation. Due to the elevation, it is always cooler then the surrounding towns of Cashiers, Highlands, Franklin and Glenville. Three bedrooms all with ceiling fans. The master bedroom with king size bed is located on the main floor. The larger bedroom downstairs has two twin beds, the other room has a queen bed. Each bedroom has sliding glass door to the huge outside decks. Indoor and outdoor fire places with complementary wood. Fully equipped kitchen with ceramic cook top, convection oven, micro wave oven, refrigerator/ freezer with ice maker, dishwasher and cooking utensils. Washer and dryer. Pets are allowed, two dogs per pet fee. Non smoking only. Children welcome. Linens provided. TV (Dish Network) and DVD player. only. Iphone/ipod music player. Master bathroom with tub and shower.

Second stay in this beautiful home and can't wait to return again. House has everything needed for relaxing and cooking a Thanksgiving feast. Cozy fireplace inside and out. Deck on main level and lower level allows for everyone to have a space to enjoy the views in solitude. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

This home has stunning views. The deck has a wood burning fireplace and high grade furniture making it a focal point of our visit. Our host provided us with plenty of firewood for both the inside and outside fireplaces which we took full advantage of in the cool October days. The home is very comfortable and the host has provided everything you could possibly think of including a crockpot, Keurig and pancake griddle. The beds are very comfortable and cozy. But the two main beds are high and difficult to get in and out of for older short people. A furniture grade step stool is provided. The initial drive in is a little daunting climbing the mountain but the road is well maintained and we really had no problems at all. The house is very clean, updated and well maintained. It was a pleasure staying there and we plan a return visit soon.

The view is fantastic! One of the nicest cabins I have rented for amenities. Beautiful furnishings on the deck and everything in the kitchen you will need! The trek to get there is challenging and the last ascent is steep. We had no problem in 4wd but that last leg is so bumpy and ruddy that it will shake rattle and roll any vehicle. Love the outdoor fireplace but only had time for one.I was a participant in wedding at chimney pond farm. I had to make two trips both Friday and Saturday. It is not necessary convenient to that venue. Bad planning on my part. But if you are able to go and not have to leave it’s the perfect place! Top shelf!

KOOL and COOL!This place is wonderful if you want to be in a cool quiet location with a beautiful view. It had everything we needed to prepare meals and has the best porch and porch furniture we have experienced in years of VRBO rentals. We even used the porch fireplace on two days after rain showers cooled us down. In August! Upstairs almost qualifies as handicap accessible (lacks grab bars in bathroom).

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It has a great view of the valley, the temperature was 10 degrees cooler than at the bottom of the mountain, and the place was very clean. Check-in was very easy, the kitchen had all of the dishes we needed, and there was plenty of firewood for our evening fires. Plenty of towels, etc. in the bathrooms, too. The owner also responded quickly to a question I had during our stay.My only issue was the rough 1.6 mile gravel road getting to the cabin, especially the last 100 yards. Our sedan nearly didn't make it up the last part due to the steep incline and the loose gravel. If we'd had a truck or SUV we'd probably have been fine. Very nice place to stay, just be sure your vehicle can handle the road.

It was amazing it was so nice to have a nice quite week away its got amazing views and helpful neighbors we had an absolute blast and appreciated every minute and cant wait for next year we tried to leave it as close to as we found it everything was great had everything we needed already there and we added to the spice cabinet and got some cute frigerator magnets that hopefully the next guests can enjoythank you for the amazing experience!!!!

Nice remote getaway!

The owner / host is very responsive . The house is homey and well stocked . It was great having the seasoned split firewood provided! The gravel road is clearly marked and well maintained. With the exception of a low sports car, it is easily passable by most vehicles.

Cozy Getaway

Cozy cabin with beautiful views. The owner has included everything that is needed or wanted for a mountain getaway within the home. Super comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. Great balcony furniture that makes it comfortable inside and out.

Amazing View!

Such a relaxing couple of days ringing in the new year with my husband and fur babies. The views were breathtaking, house was clean, fully stocked with everything you need and so cozy. We will definitely keep this in our list as one of our favorite places to stay!

Wonderful view from ridge-top cabin

Nearly 180 degree unobscured views from ridge-top at over 4,400'. Cabin is very clean, very well maintained, and well appointed with all the kitchen and other accessories one would expect (even numerous USB ports). Quality linens and towels. Top notch appliances and gas grill. Very quiet neighborhood. Excellent view from covered deck of Yellow Mountain across the valley. GPS map will direct you right to the front door. We hope to be able to stay here again.

Great view. Home stocked with absolutely everything right down to the spices. Immaculately clean. Comfortable beds. A perfect stay. The road in is a piece of cake. Just 100 feet from the cabin there is a house on the left with a sign identifying it as the Dillard house. At that point go into your low gear and gun it around the curve and up the last hill. You’ll make easy with a little speed.

Beautiful View

We enjoyed the wonderful views from this home. It was very clean and equipped with everything you would need for a great stay. Plan to arrive before dark because you’ll be driving on several miles of gravel roads and it could get confusing. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay away from it all, this is it.

We live in Greenville SC in the burbs. Our fast pace lives begged for a get away. When we saw this mountain top we knew we were going to love this view. Morning sunrise with coffee on the deck sitting by the fireplace. We have two teenagers still at home. They love coming up on their days off and kayaking in Lake Glenville. To get ready for a week in the mountains we pack food, clothes, and toiletries. Everything else is waiting for us. That is what we wanted for future vacationers. No fuss; just walk in and make yourself at home.

Due to the elevation, it is always cooler then the surrounding towns of Cashiers, Highlands, Franklin and Glenville. The view of the two south facing decks is spectacular. Sun rising over the mountain across the valley is memorable. Summer activities include hiking everywhere, rafting on nearby rivers and boating on Lake Glenville. Restaurants, art fairs, antique shops, farmer's markets and unique clothing stores in nearby towns. Fall colors are mesmerizing.
