Welcome to Lazy Moss Cabin in Western North Carolina. See our Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDoDQcNq1zI or search LazyMoss cabin on You tube Situated among the lush mountain laurel, native rhododendron and moss covered yard at a cool elevation of 3500 feet. This charming, cozy and fully recently updated cabin offers the serenity of a private setting but located within minutes of Signal Ridge Marina/Boat Rentals, Golfing, National Forest and hiking, and some of the best waterfalls around. Only 7 minutes back to Downtown Cashiers NC and only 20 minutes to Downtown Highlands NC. Lazy Moss Cabin is located directly across from Lake Glenville where you can walk over and enjoy a private park setting, relax and watch beautiful sunsets or take a swim.

Appliances: The cabin has a full washer & dryer, a small electric range, a microwave, filter coffee maker plus Kcup, SmartTV with DirectTV and vacuum.
Bathroom: 3ā€™x3ā€™ tile shower with framless glass door, comfort height toilet, sink and faucet set in a solid wood countertop, tile floors.
Sleeping: There is a king sized bed with a twin bed in the same space. A great space for a couple or a couple with a child. Barnwood headboard and built in side tables.
Lazy Moss Cabin also has a nice screened in porch on the creek side of the cabin with outdoor seating and a dining area. There is a rock walking path from the two car parking area to the front door.
Heating/Cooling: The cabin is heated and cooled with a new Mitsubishi air system on each level.
Lazy Moss cabin is a quick stroll to Lake Glenville where you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets. The walk to Lake Glenville and the private park does cross Highway 107 so your dogs will need to be on a leash and hold the kids hands when you cross. Please refer to the map in the photo's of the cabin. The cabin is a pet friendly cabin.

We had an amazing stay at Lazy Moss Cabin! It is so cozy and comfortable, a great place for relaxing and full of everything you need. Very clean and we loved the extra touches around the house for the dogs. Our two dogs loved being able to play and swim at the lake beach area across the street! Having access to this was a huge plus. You canā€™t beat morning coffee on the great screened in porch! Perfect location close to Cashiers and not a bad drive to the Highlands. Plenty to do in the area and great food close by! We are leaving feeling relaxed and canā€™t wait to return. Only wish we were staying longer! Thank you for having us and our pups!

Fantastic little cabin

This cabin was perfect for my family (wife, 8yr old, dog) and me! Itā€™s in a fantastic location with easy access to the water. It was clean, had all the essentials, and the beds were comfortable. I would recommend this cabin to anyone staying in the area!

What a delightful, cozy and well stocked cabin overlooking Lake Glenville and situated near the town of Cashiers! We couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations. The welcome treat of banana bread from Chocolate Heaven Co. was simply delectable. We would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful accommodations!

Lazy Moss Cabin was the perfect size for a couple. It was tastefully and thoughtfully designed and decorated. Susanne was an excellent hostessā€”she even brought us a can opener when she realized we didnā€™t have one. The only drawback was traffic noise from the highway during the daytime. Our stay was otherwise lovely!

Week at the lake

Great location to explore the surrounding areas of Cashiers, Highlands and Lake Toxaway. Cabin was very comfortable for the 2 of us along with our 2 dogs. The only disadvantage is that you have to cross Hwy 107 to get to the private lakeside park. The road is only 2 lanes but the traffic is fast and at times noisy.

Gorgeous farmhouse chic cabin for two

Loved the cabin - very comfortable, such interesting architectural details, fantastic screened porch; quite private. I loved the moss, plantings, stone walkway; plenty of parking space. Yes we could hear the highway but traffic was minimal at night, also means quick access to area travels. So close to the lake, only a quick walk to be on the lake itself. There are multiple rec areas on the lake within a short drive. Captain Marks pontoon lake tour was educational and a lot of fun

Comfy, cozy cabin.

My two dogs and I spent 6 days at this small, quaint, cozy and comfortable cabin. It is centrally located so we could head to Cashiers, Highlands, Franklin any where on the plateau for hiking and seeing numerous waterfalls. Also was great to chillax in when not out and about. Lake Glenville was less than 100 yards from the front door and down the hill. The owners where great to work with! May have found my go to place when just me and the canines! Cupcakes were great too!šŸ¤™šŸ¼

Fairy tale Cottage

The cottage was beautiful inside and out. Like something out of a fairytale. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake and the marina across the street. We were close to Cashiers, Highlands and Sapphire Valley. I very much appreciated the owner letting me know how to access the marina for walks with our dogs and refreshing swimming in the lake. Great restaurants nearby, especially Happ's Place with great food and live music. Great trip all in all.

wonderful, cozy cabin for a couple that's convenient to everything!

This is a cozy little cabin just across the street from Lakelenville. It is conveniently located -- a quick drive into Cashiers for coffee, restaurants, shopping, etc. It's also an easy drive to Highlands for any dining and shopping you wish to do there. The bed is comfortable and the host is very gracious and accommodating. It is pet-friendly (a HUGE plus in my book!) and the neighbors that I met were very friendly! The kitchen is well stocked (even had an electric can opener). As an added bonus, when you arrive, you'll be greeted by some wonderful cupcakes and cookies!

I moved here to the Glenville area in 1997. I do live in Glenville full time. I love photography and trust me, there is a lot to photograph here. Mountains and waterfalls, birds and flowers, breathtaking sunsets, and if your lucky maybe a bear. You can hike and explore the national parks, eat the great food from local restaurants, all of this is easily accessible from my cabin.

This property is so close to a lot of the surrounding cities and not hard to find, just off the highway but still a private setting. For a single women you can feel safe and comfortable staying here as I live close by but I'm not obtrusive and crime is basically non-existent. You can enjoy a quiet pleasant stay while still being able to access the Cashiers/Highlands area very easily and quickly to enjoy all of the activities the area has to offer.
