The Big Chill Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Perfect for our family of four. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It is walking distance to the beach and very comfortable. We all enjoyed it.

2nd Stay and still a great experience!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at Big Chill and was just as nice as the first. We enjoyed the community this property sits in. Close to the Big Store and other shops, and close to the beach. Only about a 5 minute walk or an even shorter drive. Quiet at night and we really enjoy that the front door and deck face east. Provides a great view of the sunrise and is shaded from the sun in the afternoons which allow for our family to enjoy dinner outside. Home was clean and stocked with everything you need for a great trip. We’ll definitely choose this property again if available.

Great house

House was very nice and had everything needed and great location. Beds were very comfortable with great amenities. The only problem we had was the master shower did not have a shower knob to turn water on/off and were unable to use. This was a little inconvenient as we all had to use the same shower. Overall We would definitely stay here again!

Overall the property was great. Clean and lots of notes from owner to let you know what they had for you to use just in case you forgot. The only issue we had was the dining table was sticky. Not sure if it was the paint but it was the only thing we notice Rental had everything you can imagine for your stay. It was perfect for our time with our grand daughter

The house was very nice and the realtor company hosting the property was very accommodating. They provided some nice little extras at check in, along with some things at the house that we could take to the beach. Everything was exactly as we’d hoped and we had a great time. If you have a long drive keep in mind you can only get the key from their office during business hours, which hasn’t been the norm for my other Vrbo rentals. Although minor, I could have done without the rude looks from both of the girls at check in since they assumed I was underage to rent the property. They changed their tune and were very polite after telling me they’d need to see my ID and afterwards commented that I look very young for my age. Again, it’s really not a big deal but these properties aren’t cheap so I felt it was not the best way to be greeted.

House was immaculate and as shown on the listing. Had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Cookware, utensils, grill, washer and dryer, were all provided and in great condition. This was actually one of the nicest and most accurately described properties we’ve stayed at and we had zero disappointment with the home. Additionally, although you don’t have beach views from the front of the home, the house faces east which means the front deck has plenty of shade in the afternoon and evening. This allowed my family to enjoy dinner, drinks or just together-time on the deck after a long day at the beach. Many homes get direct sun in the afternoons/evenings making it near impossible to enjoy the deck or lower level in the hot Texas sun. This was the first time renting from a real estate company though. And while they were super friendly, made the check in quick and easy, and were kind, it added a different layer to the experience. Whereas, previous hosts would communicate almost immediately when I reached out, Cobb Real Estate was not as quick. Not a big deal. Also, an additional contract is required when renting from them. While this wasn’t too big of a deal, it did add to the hassle, and made the experience a little less convenient as we planned this trip on shorter notice than usual. All said, it was a good experience and, even given the added layers, I would still rent through this real estate company again as the experience, overall, was one of our better ones.

The flags outside on the flag pole needs to be removed immediately. It’s a disgrace to our nation to have such a worn flag displayed on the property.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had two adults and two children, and it was the perfect amount of space. Very comfortable and the King Bed is adjustable on both sides - slept great.
