Reminiscent of the pastel-colored Florida beach cottages of the 1940s, 'Cabana Fever' is located three houses down from 30-A, a half-minute walk to the beach pavilion or the West side pool, and sits directly across from the Truman House (and even played a 'bit-part' in that movie). It was the first cottage on Natchez Street and is one of the few one-story cottages in Seaside.
This three-bedroom, two and a half bath cottage is furnished with vintage rattan and 1940’s club-chair seating as well as comfortable contemporary pieces. Many charming items were found at estate sales and antique shops. Painstakingly selected artwork ranges from whimsical paint-by-number nautical pieces to pop art to antique. Collectibles include vintage aquarium figures. The ocean colors of aqua and blues were intensified throughout. You`ll find the master bedroom with king sized bed with private bath where the tub and shower are separate. Also a guest queen bedroom and a third bedroom with two twin bunks in this original, stylish cottage. The hall bath is shared by both bedrooms with access from the hall and also from the guest bedroom. The outside deck has a grill and plenty of seating for a quiet evening. There is also an enclosed outdoor shower by the back door to rinse those sandy feet.
