Welcome to your perfect vacation home on Bald Head Island! This beautiful, well-appointed second-story condo has three bedrooms (which feature a king, a king, and a queen bed) plus an upper level sleeping loft with three twin beds and another twin in a trundle, as well as two and a half bathrooms plus an outdoor shower! The great room overlooks the beautiful tidal creek and all of its varied wildlife and lush island vegetation, and features sliding doors that open to a four-season screened-in porch with ample seating. The great room also features a large flat-screen TV with cable television, a DVD player, and a Roku Streaming Stick for access to all your favorite streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, ESPN+, AppleTV and many others. A Bose music system is available for listening to CDs or playing music directly from your iPhone or other MP3 device. The upper level sleeping loft features its own flatscreen TV, DVD player and streaming options. Free wi-fi is included with a strong signal throughout the home. There are ample charging plugs and USB outlets in each room. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need, including silverware, dishes and glasses, utensils, cooking pots and pans, a dishwasher, and a coffee maker. An assortment of games, puzzles and books help make for a night of family fun or quiet, relaxing down-time.

Our vacation home comes with two four-seat golf carts in the adjoining garage, where you will also find beach chairs and toys, adult and childrens' bicycles, life jackets, and a grill. Two kayaks are located behind the house, just a few steps away from the amazing tidal creek.

Our vacation home is centrally located on Bald Head Island, which is a quiet, serene, and incredibly beautiful island boasting everything you may need. There are many beach options, all of which are just a short golf cart drive or bicycle ride away. Also just a short golf cart drive away are a well-stocked grocery store, several restaurants and dining facilities including pizza and ice cream treats, tennis and croquet courts, a fitness center, a soothing saline pool, gift and clothing stores, a hardware store, a spa, a marina, and a conservancy center where you can learn about and see beach wildlife including sea turtle hatchlings! A Bald Head Island Club temporary membership may be purchased for an additional fee.

great location

Great location - perfect if you enjoy the tidal creek view, crabbing, fishing, and kayaking. Golf carts and some of the furniture are in rough shape and need to be replaced. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the communication with owner was great and really responsive.

Great location, very comfortable

We had a girls weekend in BHI and had a wonderful stay here. There was plenty of room and the condo had everything we needed. We enjoyed the screened porch and the beautiful view from the condo.

Great location

We had a wonderful time and it was very spacious for 4 adults. We had an issue with the dishwasher not working but the owner was very responsive! It was in a great location!

Excellent location, perfect for family

Check in process was easy and quick. Dawn was super responsive. House was well stocked with cooking utensils, condiments, spices, cleaning supplies, towels, and bedding. We have stayed at many rentals and it is always appreciated when they provide paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags. Dawn’s house had plenty and they were even the good toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing week

We loved this condo and being right on the beautiful marsh. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. We appreciated having the two kayaks. They even had plenty of beach chairs and beach toys. The owners were great and so easy to work with! We will definitely stay here again!

Lovely Location

Great view of the marsh. Lots of beds. Owners were easy to work with. The garage was well stocked with chairs, boogie boards, 2 adult bikes, some kids bikes, 2 golf carts and 3 kayaks. Wonderful spot for fishing. A nice quiet location. The beds and pillows could have been a little more comfy, but otherwise we loved it.

Better than expected!

We rented this unit when we were on Bald Head for a wedding. It exceeded our expectations - well appointed and well stocked kitchen. Great communication with owners. This is a very spacious condo and would be a great rental for a family vacation and an excellent choice if you're traveling with children of any age.

Excellent location!

Dawn was very responsive and the stay was wonderful. The porches are relaxing and the kitchen well-stocked for preparing meals. The location is central, making everything easy to get to. Beds were comfortable and showers were warm. Garage equipment was so wonderful to have! A few minor repairs needed (kitchen cabinet, garage door springs), but nothing that detracted from our stay. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect location on Bald Head

This property does not pretend to be high-end but it was more than adequate and the price was very competitive. There were lots of spaces for sleeping (loft) for kids. It was great to have access to 2 golf carts, beach toys, boogy boards, kayaks, chairs, etc. The location on the marsh was just what we wanted.

Simple and relaxing

We had a great time here. The condo had everything we needed. The views from Timbercreek are some of the best on the island, and this unit has a nice porch overlooking the marsh. My teenage girls took over the loft and enjoyed having such a cute private space. The owner was very quick to respond when we had a problem. One of our favorite parts of the trip was that dolphins swam along beside us when we went out in the kayaks. It was amazing!

Great outdoor family hub

We primarily beach-go and bike around the island, and this house was a perfect relaxation point any time of the day. Some things could be newer about it, but the property rental cost reflects that, and we would stay here again. Our teens loved fishing off of the pier- and the adults did, too. Great BHI location, pool was nice, if you don’t like stairs this is not the place for you, but we didn’t mind, loved the screened porch and AMAZING view, fishing, and location- and the upstairs loft! Well-done if you keep it cool enough, and you get ones feel like they have their own hangout.

Very comfortable condo with amazing views...

My girlfriend and I recently returned after a week at Timbercreek. It was a very relaxing, girls week, no husbands and time to spend with both of our girls. The beds are very comfortable and the condo is complete with everything needed to make your stay simple and convenient. The loft area can get a little stuffy as well as the screened in porch due to the glass surrounding the area. Regardless, we enjoyed our week and look forward to our next visit.

Great condo!

Overall we had a great stay and experience. One of the golf cart's lights doesn't work very well and the other golf cart doesn't have a windshield. That made it difficult to drive at night when it was cold. There was also really old, moldy coffee in the coffee maker. Otherwise, everything was great!

Awesome Location!

This was our first time staying on Bald Head Island. Usually when we go to a beach, we try to stay beachfront, but it was fun staying on the marsh. My husband enjoyed fishing out back and it was easy for him to catch his own bait. Two of us gave the kayaks a whirl, and one of us rode a bike to the beach at sunrise. The location was great for a quick walk to the community pool, and the garage was fully stocked for daily trips to the beach, which were made easy with the golf carts. We cooked all but one meal in the kitchen and had everything we needed to do so. It was spacious inside, beds were comfortable, and showers had great water pressure. The interior wasn't glamorous, but affordable, clean, well-appointed, and perfect for an active family. Wouldn't hesitate a second to return!

Great location & view

Location truly is everything! The view was stunning! Fully stocked and well working kitchen, but needs some updating. Rentals and time have taken their toll on the inside. The loft was unusable as there was no working lights and all windows were covered. And ac/heat does not vent to loft. Fully stocked with 2 golf carts, kayaks & beach towels so only grab your buckets & shovels! The porch was nice as it has windows, not just a screen so could enjoy it in cooler weather. King beds were comfy. Overall it was a great weekend spent on the island.

Disappointing Stay

Property was very dated, worn and unclean with hair, trash and sticky cabinets and broken, but basically functional, appliances in the kitchen. Furniture was stained and outdoor chairs moldy. Several cockroaches made appearances, including one falling on my husband from an overhead vent while sleeping. Beds were comfortable but linen stained. Pictures of this property on the listing appear to be about 10 years old. This property needs an overhaul. Owner was responsive but did not resolve these issues to our satisfaction.

Good stay but bathroom and kitchen could have been cleaner

The location was great. House had plenty of room. The beds were comfortable. We had a great time kayaking in the marsh. We used the neighborhood pool some which was nice for us and our kids. The only minor complaints I have are the kitchen could have been cleaner. Some of the cabinets were dirty, broken and the trash compactor was broken, but we didn’t need that. The shower curtain in the main bathroom was covered in mildew and really needs to be replaced. The property advertised 2 kayaks that came with the property but it was obvious they hadn’t been used in a really long time and would need to be cleaned thoroughly before use. That was disappointing because we had to rent a kayak for use when we should have been able to use the ones that came with the property. The garage however was stocked well with everything we needed. Sand toys and boogie boards for the kids and plenty of chairs and a small grill. Property manager was very nice and easy to contact. Overall we had a great stay.

A true gift

My brother and I planned this vacation after losing our mom in 2019 and then facing barriers related to the pandemic as they had a newborn baby. We could not have asked for a better stay. Their little one loved exploring the back porch and my daughter loved sleeping in the loft. Everything you could want at the house was available. Beach towels. Beach bag. Chairs. Umbrella. Bikes! It was so nice. If I had any constructive feedback or would be that the bikes need a tune up (chain fell off black bike while we were riding) and that the kayaks needed cleaning. Overall, I’m hopeful that we will be back next year! One sweet moment of the trip was when we realized that the VRBO owner and our late mother shared the same name—Dawn. Thank you for the respite and for the time for us to get to know each other again and for our girls to know the beauty of slow beach days.

BHI Marsh Views

The property was exactly as pictured. The views were lovely, the location very convenient. The golf carts were charged and ready to go. Lots of beach bags, toys, coolers, chairs, etc. We couldn't get the TV or the Bose sound system to work, but there was so much to do on the island that we didn't really miss them.

Great intro to BHI

This was the perfect place to stay as we explored BHI for the first time! We had a great time and the condo had all we needed. Can’t wait to go back for another visit!

We are from Raleigh, North Carolina and have loved Bald Head for as long as we can remember. We are so excited to have a place in our favorite spot and to share it with you!

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Of all the places we stayed, Timbercreek was the best. The views of the creek are amazing, plus we can crab, fish, kayak and just have fun back there! In the maritime forest, we are out of the hot, hot sun, but only a couple of minutes by golf cart to any beautiful beach on the island. Timbercreek has its own wonderful saline pool and is centrally located to the harbor, the grocery and other shops. Our screened in porch is our very favorite spot - with sliding windows it is a 4 season spot for enjoying the best views on the island.
