Absolutely gorgeous 2nd row home in Kings Lynn with breathtaking views of the beach and the sound with easy access to the ocean located across the street. Chose a seat from either of the front or back decks to relax and enjoy the incredible island and water views. Located in a quiet section of Kings Lynn with wide beaches and very little traffic. This home boasts double ocean side porches to sit back in your rocking chairs, gaze over the ocean, see the beach and feel the sea breezes through your hair. The back porches overlooks the long range sound views and nature activities bound. . . The inside of the home is very tastefully decorated so you can let all of your worries drift away and enjoy your vacation in comfort. The open floor plan allows gathering of the family throughout the upstairs. The dining room and family rooms have fabulous ocean views so even from indoors, you will have priceless views. Extra dining outside on the upstairs oceanfront porch. All porches will have plenty of seating to enjoy the views of the Ocean or the sound. One main bedroom is located upstairs while downstairs there are 4 more bedrooms. master-1queen, BR2-1queen, BR3-1 queen, BR4-1 double and 1 twin, BR5- 2 sets bunks (4T). The luxury, fully equipped kitchen has a 10 foot island with seating for several hungry ones. This island bar also is perfect for the entertaining all your friends for a full buffet at their fingertips. The massive great room completely encompasses the ocean side of the home. The views are simply breath taking. There will be a video library, books, puzzles, stereo system, CD player, and Smart Roku TVs equipped with streaming. Departure housekeeping and linens are included. Let "Carpe Diem" be where you are able to seize the day. Non-Smoking.

Family Thanksgiving Trip

Our family spent Thanksgiving at this lovely home. The location was perfect for fishing and walking on the beach! We really enjoyed the view of both the beach and sound from the porches.

Carpe Diem recommendation

Property was as advertised and the layout was perfect for our needs. Loved the parking arrangement. Beach access was easy. View of ocean wonderful from the shady, comfy top deck/porch. What a plus to have marsh views from the rear decks! Kitchen was well-equipped. May want to consider an upgrade for the coffee maker, though. The kitchen/dining area was perfect for us all to gather and enjoy being together to prepare meals. We loved the West Beach location! The beach has an easy slope, making it easy for the kids to enjoy the water and skim-boarding. Easy access to The Point. Outlets in the master bath and powder room did not work. The railing on the stars to top level is loose. One lamp in living room did not work. You may want to provide more instructions for tv operation. Other than these small quibbles,it was a great property.

Memorial Day

We had a very nice time at Carpe Diem except for the stairs. My husband broke his shoulder and had a hard time navigating the inside staircases. Railings were not available on both sides. The porches were great but the furniture was old. We did enjoy the outdoor dining set. The access to the beach was longer than we expected but the description of the property led us to believe it was right across from the beach.

My vacation

We had roaches. We had no TV for 48 hours, due to an issue that the owner had to straighten out. The air conditioner messed up and a window unit had to be brought out. The dishwasher was controlled by a switch that wasn’t labeled, so we had no idea until I called after hours maintenance. Still waiting to hear back from rental company if I will get any kind of refund. Hopefully these issues I experienced will help improve issues and problems for further guests!

8 of us stayed at the home and it was a perfect fit. Love the quiet end of the island this house sits on. Views were amazing!

Awesome house.....

My friends and I had a wonderful visit. The house was great and had a great view of the ocean. A short walk put us on the beach. Plenty of room to for all and a great gas range really made the kitchen over the top.

Perfect house for our Thanksgiving

Fabulous Family Week at Carpe Diem

Wonderful family time at Oak Island, Carpe Diem! Beach and house was fabulous! Wonderful view of ocean AND marsh with inviting porches to enjoy both. Loved the fact that the beach was not crowded and very little traffic. My family and I would definitely stay here again!

Great location

We had a great week but I did have a few issues. The vacuum cleaner was the pits so there was sand on the floor constantly. The can opener did not work. The beds were not made and the comforters had not been washed.

Fell in Love with Oak Island

Our family had an amazing spring break at Carpe Diem! The beaches were very quiet, the views amazing, and the house very comfortable! We will def be back!

Carpe Diem Dump

This house was a vacation nightmare. Upon entering, we found DOG FECES on the rug under the dining table. The bathrooms and the kitchen were filthy. The cleaning job was nonexistent or poorly done to say the least. Appliances were filthy- countertops, refrigerator, and microwave were not clean. The windows were so dirty you could not see the view. The toilets and showers were disgusting- showers caked with residue and the toilets had urine stains. The house is in poor condition, and the second cleaning crew was even appalled. For supposedly being 2 years old, the house shows a lot of wear and tear. Carpe Diem would be a lovely house if it was properly maintained. The kitchen is not stocked well and utensils, plates, and pans were scarce. We pulled out the blender and it was covered in ants as were all the cupboards! We were promised wifi and it took us almost three days to get it. Also, one of the beds was not properly assembled, which could have been dangerous. When we contacted Better Beach Rentals, we were treated rudely and they were non-responsive to our issues and frustrations. When asked to speak to a manager, we were told they were unavailable repeatedly. Every time we called management they acted like we were a nuisance, and there was never an apology for the deplorable condition of the house. They had our money so they did not care. I would NEVER rent from Better Beach Rentals again, they obviously do not know how to take care of their customers. Oak Island seems like a lovely vacation spot with great beaches but be warned if you rent from Better Beach Rentals. If I were the owner of this home, I would be disturbed to know that the management company was representing this home in such a deplorable condition.
