The property was very nice and as advertised and we appreciated being so close to the beach. I think the only thing that would have made this a five star is if the beds were made when we first arrived.

Wonderful OKI Family Vacation Spot

We really enjoyed our stay in Oak Island! It was quick and easy to get to the beach access. The elevator was much appreciated by the grandparents who have trouble walking up and down stairs. We will be back!

Wonderful and comfortable beach location

This was the cleanest VRBO property we have stayed in. The location was great, ocean view, and quite close to a CAMA beach entrance. The property was well laid out, comfortable family and dining area, kitchen well furnished, two refrigerators, very adequate vehicle parking under the house and back yard and had decks on both levels. Communication with the host was responsive and quick. We had wonderful meals at nearby restaurants and grocery needs at a nearby Publix and Food Lion. This is a location we would definitely return to.

Pleasant stay!

This property is great for a group of friends or a couple of small families! It was so close to the beach and the bedrooms arrangements were great! Kitchen was a good size and having two refrigerators was a great addition. They had great size TVs to watch a football game as well and a beautiful deck for morning coffee. The only downside was the carpets were a little worn and stained in some areas. This could probably be cleaned better but overall otherwise the place was very clean and being a rented property can be expected. Overall it was a lovely place for a beach vacation!

Fantastic spot

This house was perfect for our group- 6 adults and 6 kids. Plenty of room and well appointed. Location was fantastic; the beach is just a short walk that even our 2 yr old could do. Can’t wait to come back!

Awesome beach house!

The house is amazing, with great views of the ocean! There is plenty of space for gathering together, both indoors and outside. I loved the hammock. The kitchen is well equipped and there is an extra refrigerator. The elevator is great for groceries and luggage. Jamie is quick to respond to questions.

Gorgeous Views

The views were phenomenal. This was of utmost importance since the weather was dreary. We were able to stay inside and still see breathtaking views of the ocean. The house was amazing. Everything was fantastic. My only suggestion would be to add two chairs to the dining table and to add more forks!

Felt like home!

Loved staying at Fishizzle! Great house and directly acroos from the beach-- host was exceptionally responsive. The best part was that this was clearly a house where people lived-- there were spices, tin foil, baking soda-- all the things you don't want to pack but you might need. It certainly felt like home and I can't wait to go back!

Amazing Space!

My family spent several days in your home for my son and daughter to run the Oak Island half marathon. It was exactly what we needed. We had ages from 19 to 75, so it was nice to have the elevator for my parents! Thank you! We will be back!

Family Beach Week

My family of 9 adults had a wonderful, relaxing week at Fishizzle. Having the main living area on the 2nd floor gave us beautiful views of the ocean. Location is good. Access to beach is really close. The house is nicely furnished with all you need. Extra refrigerator and elevator are bonuses. Plenty of parking. The dining room table is big but only 6 chairs. Reading reviews had made me aware of this so we took card table chairs so we could all of sit at the table. I would definitely like to return next year.

House was very accommodating for all ages.

We had a blast. Beds were comfortable and convient to beach was a plus. I hope to be able to rent it out again. Wish I would have known that renting g a golf cart neede to be done in advance. Will remember for next time.

Great week at FisHizzle

FisHizzle is a terrific beach house with many great qualities! The number and configuration of the bedrooms and bathrooms was good for us, and the rooms are attractively decorated and clean. (We had 9 people, with a variety of needs from ages 4-75!) Also, the close location to the beach is great! Views from the deck are lovely, morning and night. The elevator is a wonderful plus and we really needed it. We greatly appreciated and used the extra refrigerator! The kitchen has a great deal of equipment. The island in the middle is useful, as well as the pantry storage space. A small thing, little signs with the days for recycling and garbage pickup, as well as wifi password – very helpful. Overall, this house was great for us, and we would consider renting it again. TIPS FOR IMPROVEMENT - MEALS AND KITCHEN The house sleeps 16, I believe, and the kitchen is pretty small to prepare meals for that number. (We didn’t go hungry, that’s for sure.) More coffee cups are needed especially, and elimination of junk items such as plastic cutlery. Other items (plates, bowls, platters, pans) are adequate. The dishwasher runs for well over 2 hours, and does not get the dishes perfectly clean. We found a couple with food on them in the cabinet. The little tilt-out bins under the kitchen sink contain gunk and rust – I suspect they were not even recognized by the housecleaning crew as what they are. Information about how to use the streaming TV service was needed. A bar area with adequate room for fixing drinks that doesn’t use up a bunch of counter and meal-prep space is needed. Maybe in the extra-refrigerator room? There’s not enough room for a large family to sit down for a meal together. Maybe an add-a-leaf table would fix that problem. The bar stool solution, with people’s backs to the big table, is not appealing. (Those SUPER-HEAVY chairs and stools are a pain in the neck!) The extra table on the deck was used for some of the adults at a few meals.

Multi-aged family vacation

This house was perfect for a relaxing get-away. We had all ages from teens to senior citizens and we all had fun. The beach access was very convenient and the house was well-equipped with everything we needed. The teens were able to watch a turtle lay her eggs on the beach one night and the grandparents were able to sit under their beach umbrella every day and watch all the dogs and families walk by. The beach is not crowded at all and very family oriented. Jamie was extremely helpful and quick with any replies. She made recommendations for activities that were happening locally and when we found something wasn't working, she immediately came over to fix it. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful family vacation.

Family Vacation 2022

The house was perfect for our family of 12. We really liked the location and the elevator was perfect as we had 3 grandparents with us. Transporting luggage and supplies was much easier this way. The house was very clean and the location was great....just a short walk to the beach access. The house had everything we needed. My favorite spot was the first floor front porch hammock with the palm trees providing shade.....great place for chilling and reading! We had plenty of parking and storage for our chairs and beach items. Jamie was great at answering our questions and recommending places we asked about. I would highly recommend this house.

Back Again

We had stayed at this property a year ago and had a great time so we returned this year. Our expectations were met in every way. The house was clean and well-appointed. Bright and spacious. The host was easy to communicate with and things went smoothly. Would happily return again next year.

VERY Relaxing!!!

Very nice location overall. Literally walk across the street to the beach access. Drive to eat or pick up food, groceries whatever you need within a very short drive. The elevator is a GREAT bonus for elderly relatives we had with us. Views are great and the home fit the bill for our group. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Great golf at Carolina National as well. Can't wait to reschedule and return to this property and location.

Great Location

The house was just like the pictures. Close to a wonderful beach. March was a little windy and cold but we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen table could use two more chairs for a crowd. Would come there again.
