Quaint antique island home

Roomy three bedroom house. Downstairs master bedroom (queen bed). Upstairs bedroom (queen), bedroom (2 twins). Large living room, formal dining room, two full baths, den, kitchen, laundry, shed. We offer two HDTV's with free high speed wireless internet, a landline phone, and a library and board games. Enjoy a large, mowed back yard, shore privileges, and a view of sunsets over Harpswell Sound. Patio with gas grill and seating available in the back yard. This is an old house, with plenty of charm, but floors are not completely level in spots and the carpeted stairs to the upstairs are somewhat steep.

We are located south of Brunswick approximately 11 miles from Cooks Corner, which makes for easy day trips up and down the rt 1 corridor. Several local grocery stores and shopping are nearby. Local beaches, restaurants, ice cream and gift shops are a quick drive from the house. There are plenty of walking trails nearby as well.

Beautiful property and lovely garden where you can see deer and watch the sunset into the ocean. Comfy beds and plenty if space for us all. Clean and well presented and the host was very responsive to our questions.Orrs Island is a great place to stay with great beaches.

Our second time staying here for a week in the summer and still fantastic. Clean, comfortable, super convenient, and just right for our family with little kids with high energy. I really appreciated having the pack b play all set up and ready for us and the house had every item we could have needed. The yard is spectacular—best sunsets we’ve seen in years!—and made our time on Orr’s Island dreamy as can be.

We enjoyed our stay at the Orr House. It was nicely situated to all the attractions we were looking to explore. The Giant Stairs trail was our favorite in the immediate area. My 3 and 6 year olds loved seeing the wildlife on the property, as well. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at this house! It was very spacious, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The check in and check out processes were super easy and smooth. Everything was exactly as described and we felt very comfortable throughout the stay. Would absolutely recommend.

Great family place

This place had it all a huge back yard going to the coastline, everything you need for a stay, spices pots pans cups bowls soaps cleaning products, it was pretty much a ready to move in home a.c units fans moveable window screen, the drive time to anything isn't long at all many little seafood spots on the island and a small convince store with beer and liquor and a restaurant there, could not recommend this house enough to anyone, absolutely great first time experience in Maine and will definitely be rebooking for next year, thank you so much for the family memories!!!

Comfortable, spacious home in Harpswell

We really enjoyed our stay in this home. It's very spacious, with a nice backyard, and the rooms are very comfortable. While it's not directly on the water, it's still a lovely spot on Orr's Island. The communication with the host was excellent. Beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything needed--even a lobster pot! The room with the twin beds was adorable. The stairs to the upstairs bedrooms (master is on the main level) are steep, but typical for a New England home of that age.

We stayed at Mal’s house it is amazingly beautiful!The flowers were beautiful, we arrived at the perfect time. The decor and every room was perfect. We were all overjoyed with the location. My mom and Aunt 89 and 90 years young could not get over the gorgeous back yard we had Turkey’s, and chicks a doe and her fawn along with ducks wandering through. We are all ready to make our next planned trip.

Large house with plenty of room. Everything worked as expected. Quiet neighborhood on the island. Property ran right up to the water. It's a great are to go and get away for a weekend or longer. Would definitely stay again.

Visiting Friends

Love at first sight. Came to visit a friend in Brunswick and fell in love with everything! After several excursions around the Maine coast, returned to a very comfortable home away from home. Mallory was very gracious and accommodating.

Such a lovely home

We are repeat vacationers at this lovely Orrs Island property. It’s quiet and peaceful with a beautiful large yard which makes it very private. It’s a quaint old maine home like those of my childhood but it has been updated & furnished for the comforts of a larger group. The location is perfect with many favorite haunts nearby. We love the proximity of the ocean and smell of salt air. You can’t go wrong in making this your base for a stay in the state of Maine.

Wonderful vacation!

Orr House is an absolute gem ! It is comfortable, spacious, and well outfitted with everything you might possibly need. The property is serene and rolls along to the water. Sunsets are gorgeous right from the backyard. We felt surrounded by nature, and enjoyed watching a turkey family, deer, dicks, and many birds. It was a joy for us to stay in this historic home, and our hosts Mallory and her mother Joan made our week complete!

Perfect week on Orr's Island

We had the perfect week at this spacious, unique house! Prime location with plenty of room for our family of four to relax, play in the yard, and outfitted with everything we needed. Great showers, comfortable beds, tons of room to spread out, and perfect cool breezes through the windows overnight and every morning. Spotlessly clean, well stocked kitchen supplies, and fans and ACs for the few times the temps felt a little too hot. We hope to come back again next year! Thank you!

A great place to stay

The house was very clean and spacious with a well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. The uneven floors and steep staircase do require good mobility, but doable. The setting is very quiet and it was easy to get to many sights. Nearby restaurants and galleries/artisans were a plus. The Wi-Fi was strong which was great since cell coverage was spotty. It was humid the week we were there and the ACs and fans helped out. The hydrangeas and the reading book were added bonuses. We would return!

We purchased this home after years of summering on Orr's Island. The home is very special to the family as it was my grandmother's residence and my parents' home for a number of years. My parents now live nearby and we have chosen to share this lovely spot for others to enjoy.

The location of this property is ideal for day trips in the midcoast area and has all the great charm an island vacation can provide. Cool ocean breezes keep the climate temperate and the salt ocean air is soothing to the soul.

On a summer night enjoy the stars easily visible without all the light pollution that you would experience in a city. Catch some fireflies and watch for deer and turkeys parading around in the moonlight.
