Family vacation

Melissa was so easy to work with and responded quickly to my messages. The house is fabulous and so much room for the 20 of us ages 11 to 76. The pool was used continually and the pool table and shuffle board were great. I highly recommend the house!

Great place for a family winter getaway

The house accommodated our 9 grandkids and 8 adults perfectly. Catching tarpon and redfish off the dock was an unexpected surprise.

Great property with plenty of room. Sherry the manager is awesome! We hired Freda the chef and the food was awesome! Highly recommend staying here for a large group!

Perfect Family Vacation!

New years

What a wonderful property for our biennial family vacation. With 20 plus family members aged 76 to 10 this was the perfect house. Lots of bedrooms to spread out and a fabulous pool/hot tub to hang out by. All the water toys plus pool table and shuffleboard kept everyone entertained. Only issue was a faulty air conditioner on the third floor but the hosts addressed the problem in a timely matter.

Awesome house

This house is exactly how the pictures look. It's huge for accommodating big families and really clean. The real estate agent was a great help and very friendly. The location is right in the middle of keys which is easy access for water sports. Can't wait to visit again.

Perfect for Family Getaway

Our family likes to travel together, and we are a big group! There was 21 of us staying at the home and it was perfect. The home was like our own private resort. The kitchen was plenty big for us to all cook in. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean. It is very close to grocery stores and walking distance to Sombrero Beach. We will definitely be coming back!

Wedding Bliss

This property exceeded our expectations! We reserved the property for a wedding. It was perfect! Sherry, the property manager was very responsive and helped us find the people we needed for everything from chair rentals to transportation. Guest of all ages enjoyed their stay. Even with a large group, it did not feel crowded.

Awesome vacation

This house looks just like the pictures. It's so accommodating for big families and squeaky clean. So clean my nephew ran into the sliding glass doors!! It's 45 min away from Key West. All water sports are within minutes away as well as some really nice restaurants. The real estate agent was very friendly and minutes away when needed. Can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful home

The home was beautiful and very clean. Melissa was wonderful to work with. She was prompt to get back to me. There was a construction noise issue from the lot next door. We panicked a bit because we were having our son’s wedding on that Thursday. We contacted Melissa to see what could be done. The next day she got back with us and no construction on wedding day! Melissa went above and beyond for us. The home is a wonderful vacation spot and an even better wedding venue! At night everything lights up!

Great trip with friends!!

Group of 5 families, kids all grown had an awesome time. The house was great, we had a little AC mid week and Sherry was on it right away. Cooked meals in and had all necessary items. Pool area and Tili hut were major hang out areas. Plenty of room to sleep out 21 people easily. We were met by host for a complete walk thru on check in. Very relaxing pace

Best VRBO I have been too

This is the best VRBO we have stayed at and we have stayed at many in the US and Caribbean. We stayed with family and friends (16 of us) for my husbands 60th birthday! It has everything you could need and then some. Property is more beautiful than the pictures. Sherry the property manager was very easy to work with and prompt on returning emails/texts and getting anything done we needed (which was not much). I would highly recommend this property and will hopefully be going back again!

Perfect Vacation House for Group Trip & Casual, Beach Wedding!

We were searching the Keys for the perfect spot to host our beach wedding, and we are so happy we chose to book Sandpiper! The house is amazing - the perfect spot for a large group to spend the week together. We held our ceremony & reception in the back yard, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. Sherry was so helpful & responsive, and made sure that we were fully accommodated. The house itself is an amazing space to host a large group - updated & comfortable inside, with plenty of space & amenities to accommodate large groups, plus the huge pool and tiki bar! The property will always hold a special memory for us, and we hope to return one day!

More than enough

The property was great! There was plenty for our family to do for the kids and the “ big kids”. Plenty of privacy for us to spread out and have our own spaces. Convenient to stores and the beach! Our family created amazing memories here we will never forget this place! There were minor issues with showers and the elevator. But that’s houses. We understand that! Sherry is as great to deal with and very helpful. Thank you!

Great extended family property!

24 family members stayed for a week at Seaside Sandpiper. Everyone remarked about having the right amount of privacy and common space. Centrally located in the Florida Keys easy to access other activities. The pool/hot tub beach side is amazing! Tiki bar with TV for watching sports or whatever is your thing. There is a shared dock for kayaking/paddle boarding from or rent a boat and keep it there. Fishing from the dock was great fun too. We saw a Manatee from the dock too. Dolphins swam by several mornings. We also enjoyed watching the sea birds. Grocery stores, restaurants and other activities were close and convenient. Great family vacation! I highly recommend this property.

Overall -a perfect set up for a large extended family with a range of ages. Many outdoor activities on the property. The pool and hot tub are amazing . The house is huge with private corridors (bed and bath) for individual families to be near one another. Kitchen and dining perfect for our large crowd. Hosts Carmen and Sherry very helpful thru out the week *Some improvements that could be made easily- improved wifi and tv service (basketball fans had trouble watching the NCAA games, when the littles needed down time out of the sun, Netflix connections were not good) cleanliness (this house could use a really good deep cleaning) , some of the hinged exterior doors wouldn’t stay closed in the wind,and a safety concern- you can’t lock this house up at night or if you are leaving it on a day trip. All that aside, EVERYONE in our family had a wonderful time here, and we hope to be back again some day!

Family vacation

We were happy with our stay and had fun as a family. The size of the house, rooms and location was great. We loved that we didn’t have to worry about pool towels. There were however some disappointing items as well. This was our first time using VRBO and we trusted the description to be accurate. We paid for a clean resort like situation however, because of the aforementioned items it missed the mark. This house had a lot of mold and tiles that need to be fixed, carpet covering holes in the floors, and broken curtain rods. The pool was constantly cloudy and we kept having to call to have the pool tended to. There was not enough silverware for a group of 26 and there were no dish towels, dish rags or sponges for cleaning up the kitchen. There were a few outdoor chairs that were broken, the tiki hut has a sink that is not operational, the white railing on the second floor is not safe and we had 4 toddlers in our group. The grounds on the sides and near the tiki bars have a lot of clutter/broken stuff that made it feel more cluttered than resort like. The hammock is partially torn and not safe for adults to use. We loved that there were kayaks and paddle boards, but there were no paddles for the paddle boards, just kayaks. There was a dart board and no darts. Some suggestions are to put hooks in all the bathrooms so things can be hung up, extra hand towels and possibly a few extra bath towels so you have something to use when you use your towels.

Disappointing

I have never left a bad review but in this case, I felt it was necessary. The property and location were beautiful. Plenty to do and stocked well. That said, the property definitely needed some updating. The wiring and internet throughout the property was a disaster. The internet worked but it did not stay connected to the TV's or other devices due to how they were jerry-rigged. In some cases, with tape and several connections to one unit. There were two separate Wi-Fi signals throughout the home. We were constantly having to reconnect to them when the signal fell off. Biggest issue was two of the bathrooms on the main level did not have hot water for 5 of the 7 days. We had someone come in on 3 separate occasions. Due to her needs my 83yr old mother stayed in one of those bathrooms. Having her go to another occupied bathroom was a huge inconvenience. The hot water did get resolved on day 6. I was in constant contact with the property manager (not what I like to do on vacation) throughout our entire stay. I am in customer service, and I understand that things happen that are out of your control. We were offered another stay at a reduced rate of two nights. This was a once in a lifetime vacation for my family. This was a wish from my mom, we will not be able to pull our family together at this expense again. Management knew this and it saddens me that they did not feel a small refund (one night) was deserved. Very poor management.

Perfect Winter getaway

Sherry the host was so accommodating and responsive. She made it very easy to check in and showed us around on this large property that you can get lost in. Pool was relaxing and this house pretty much has all the necessities to make a lunch/dinner and not far from any grocery stores. Everyone enjoyed the property and hope to come back again.

Perfect large family vacation

Great house for large group! Our family was celebrating my mom’s 80th birthday. We were 13 adults and 6 children 7 and under. The house was perfect for us! So much for the kids to do and space to eat and sleep. Great mornings drinking coffee looking at the ocean while Kids played in the sand, brunch cooked in the tiki hut while kids played in the pool, and grilling dinner out by the basketball court! Awesome to have 2 washers and dryers. The ice machine was a great bonus too. Location was perfect. Publix being so close, easy walk with kids to sombrero beach and fabulous new playground. Great nature center up the road. Theatre of the sea is an easy 40 min. Drive. So worth it. I also highly recommend Castaway waterfront restaurant. Delicious and great service. Great at accommodating all 19 of us with reservations. Thank you Sherry for being a wonderful host!

Location is Everything! This home is in the heart of the fabulous Florida Keys. Marathon Island has everything to offer from the best charter fishing to the best beach in the Keys right around the corner. Let's not forget 5-star dining and a great selection of Tiki Bars and local get-a-ways. Then you retire to your private resort home and wake up to breathtaking sunrises in almost every room in the house! This house is perfect for oceanfront weddings or events! We can make recommendations on wedding vendors.

If you want a beautiful home, spectacular view and wonderful service and hospitality, talk to Sherry! She was amazing and we highly recommend her, her home and would stay here again! Simply FANTASTIC!!!!
