Key Lime Cottage is a charming, completely remodeled OIB home in the prime location on the island ā€“ lots of upgrades! New Kitchen and Appliances. Comfortably sleep 14 in this 5 bedroom (large rooms), 3 bath (2 bath, 1 shower), large front deck for viewing, sunning and relaxing. Very close to the beach access, central heat and air, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, refrigerator Stove, 5 Color Cable TVs, DVD, High Speed wireless internet access, Portacrib, covered porch with furniture. Bedding: Queen, 2 Doubles, 2 Doubles, Queen, Queen. Covered porch and sundeck, deck furniture, outside shower, very well appointed. Charcoal Grill. Beach access across the street (Concord Access). NON-SMOKING and No Pets

Key Lime Cottage is a perfect beach cottage designed for beach fun. Center Den with center living room, dining, kitchen all in large central community style hall room. Bedrooms and bathrooms off to each side of center living area. Bedrooms are very spacious. New windows with screens allow for beach breezes to flow through the home. Huge front deck with a nice flow from deck to center Hall room. 4 rocking chairs, benches, and picnic table on front deck. Back porch off the kitchen door for easy access to new BBQ grill set up and back yard area.

The parking area under house is spacious ā€“ with much room in driveway also for more parking. On rainy days this can be used for game time like corn hole. There is a picnic table downstairs and a big hammock that you are guaranteed to fall asleep in. Wonderful breezes from the ocean that will rock you right to sleep. Spacious living area that makes for a relaxing area to group after a long day fishing, golfing or at beach. New flat screen 42ā€ TV in den and TV with cable in every room. New beds, All new bedding. All new carpet, New Roof, New refinished wood plank flooring (this is awesome), New toilets and sinks, Newly painted, new siding, new windows, new under house ceiling, lots of new stuff! Large outside shower! Washer and Dryer room!

80 steps away is the beach access at Concord rd. The access has been newly rebuilt and is awesome! The beach is wide ā€“ great for playing sports. Sea turtles come up to lay eggs on this beach. The sidewalk in front of house brings you right down to the center of the island 3 blocks away where there are restaurants, night pier fishing, bars, ice cream, snow cones, surf shops, beach shops, miniature golf and more.

Key Lime Cottage is a wonderful place that will bring you many memories to cherish for years to come. Relax & Enjoy!

A great week!

This house is so close to the beach that our 3-5 year olds could handle this walk very easily which was huge for us. The house has tons of beach chairs and really everything youā€™d need for a beach day. We got to see the hatching of sea turtles! The WiFi worked great all week and the owners are easy to contact. No complaints for this location at all!

Perfectly suited for family of 5 adults & 3 children. Cottage was clean & extremely well stocked for cooking some meals in & grilling. Washer & dryer plus outdoor shower were handy. Close proximity to beach, arcade, food & fishing was awesome. Host was extremely responsive to an issue with the refrigerator, installing a new one 12 hrs later!! Many great memories were made!

Vacation interrupted by Tropical Storm Debby

The home is as advertised. Perfect for our family vacation that we had long anticipated. The central living area was ideal. I loved the rocking chairs on the porch. So close to the beach. Kids loved the couple days we were able to be on the beach! Unfortunately, the weather was against us. I would definitely buy trip insurance in the future.

Perfect Labor Day weekend getaway

Our group with kiddos had a great time! The beds were comfortable; the beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys were plenty and functional; a very short walk to the public beach access and walkable distance to get ice cream or sunset slush and play on the public playground. We know the weather and waves canā€™t be predicted but they were also about as perfect as they come. Thank you so much for a lovely, clean stay!

Great Beach week in OIB

The residence was just as described on VRBO. The kitchen was well equipped and rooms were comfortable. The AMAZING beach chairs, equipment, games and toys were such a hit. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch to eat dinners. Overall, a wonderful week.

We enjoyed our return visit!

This was our second summer at Key Lime Cottage, and we enjoyed it once again. The cottage is very pleasant with a well-equipped kitchen, a large table for dining, a nice outdoor shower and great beach chairs etc. It's a short walk to the beach, which was great for young children. We will plan to visit Key Lime Cottage again!

Great beach house for a group of 8 women

Adorable cottage super close to beach access. Great layout with 4 bedrooms off the living room and then a bonus bedroom and bath in the back. Pretty and fun decor . You need to either rent linens and towels ( including kitchen ones which we bought and left there for the next people ) but everything else in the kitchen was well stocked. Our whole group loved staying there.

Wonderful vacation at Key Lime Cottage!

This was the perfect place for our family (4 adults and 4 children 8 & under). Loved the open floor plan, the cheerful interior, the well-equipped kitchen, the front porch with the picnic table, the great beach chairs, wagon etc., the outside shower, & the really short walk to the beach as well as the close proximity to the park. The bedroom & bath layout worked well for our family. We will look forward to another visit!

Great property and location. Across the street from beach. An easy 10 min walk down the beach to the grill and arcade. And a shorter walk to the Drift Coffee shop on E. 2nd. Less than 5 min drive to Ocean Isle Fish Company and Sharkey's.

Nice beach family vacation..

The house is great For 3 families,2 had small children so the Jack and Jill set up was good. AC set point could be repaired/ updated. A ton of beach supplies available with house rental. Kitchen well stocked. Easy walk for beach access. Thanks for a great family time!!!!!!

a seamless and perfect rental experience

This was our SECOND time staying at Keylime Cottage. Since last year, the owners have made beautiful changes to the house. Many of the finishes are things I would pick for my own home. You can sense the pride of ownership and attention to detail, as well as the genuine care for guests in the smaller touches and communication. I felt like we were taken care of the same way the owners would want to be taken care of if they stayed in a rental property. The house was clean and updated and truly felt like a home away from home. I always say that I want my vacation stay to be in a place that's as nice or nicer than my home, and this home checked that box even before considering the proximity to the beach. We love the location - close to the action, but also quiet and relaxing. The house was so close to a public access which made beach days a dream. I loved our mornings on the front porch with a cup of coffee and the peekaboo ocean view complete with tranquil ocean sounds. We loved having access to chairs, toys and boogie boards - it saved a TON of space and made traveling from PA a lot easier. We cooked in, carried in and ate out. We had everything we needed to cook, grill, prep food, etc. We even had an evening where another house of family walked down for dinner and were able to accommodate 20 people inside and outside. The owners were amazing to work with and responded quickly to questions. We were even checked on by phone following tropical storms near us. I love this rental and would stay again without hesitation. In fact, I'd love to just move in - HAHA.

Great Ocean Isle Beach Location!

Fantastic location! Beach access is just across the street. Walk/Bike to restaurants, pier, slushies, putt-putt, maritime museum, playground, and shops. The house makes a great home base. Kitchen is well-stocked. Decor and layout creates a relaxed, good-vibes environment to enjoy vacation time with family and friends. Loved the personalized Key Lime wall art! Recommend!

Didn't want to leave

We stayed for three nights and it wasn't long enough. This house was exactly as described and was setup perfectly for it family. We it had one hiccup and it was solved with 30 minutes. The kitchen is completely stocked with dishes and cookware. There was also plenty o things to use at the beach in the downstairs closet. And the kids were thrilled with the gift bag! The walk to the beach is very short as well. We will definitely look at staying here next year. Thanks for your hospitality!

OIB at Key Lime Cottage

Love the set up of the house. Outdoor walled shower is awesome. I like that all rooms are on the same floor. This year we struggled to get a consistent temperature in the the bedrooms, front rooms very hot while back rooms very very cold and the ceiling vents would not close in the cold room to force air to the hot room. We struggled on both sides (separate AC unit for each side of house). The owners are great, I am sure they will do something to fix this.

We love OIB. My Wife grew up in the Carolinas and I grew up in Georgia. We both love the beach. We found OIB about 10 years ago and fell in love with it. The island is set up perfect for families. One access on to island cuts down on traffic. So - we decided to buy a home on the island - and we enjoyed it so much - that we bought a small rental cottage - fixed it up and call it Key Lime Cottage. We put a lot of effort into making the home up to par with what we would expect to rent when on vacation. We expect things to work, we like things clean, we like to feel comfortable when on vacation. This is what Key Lime Cottage is about - comfort and feeling at home.

This style of this home is perfect for a family or group that wants to be together and be active on the beach and island. The home has a great feel - hard to explain - but its just a really cool house. A great beach cottage. Shotgun style with wood plank floors and light colors give it a fresh, light feel. Close to center of Island - no body can complain about not having anything to do. The beach is literally 80 paces away. You can see the ocean from the front deck.
