Pros: The location is beautiful, and the views from the porch were spectacular. We hosted a dinner and there was ample room for people to gather and eat. Cons: Communication with the host was non-existent. I had to reach out to VRBO directly after two messages asking for check-in instructions didn't receive a reply. VRBO gave me the owner's cell #, so I texted and did get check-in instructions through VRBO following the message. We showed up to the house in the evening, no lights were on, and the door code provided in the instructions was wrong. I called and someone provided the correct code. The house smelled musty when we arrived. There was a blanket hanging off of the non-functional elevator. We saw a mouse in the bedroom upstairs the first night, along with a swarm of stink bugs on the bedroom window. The kitchen was infested with wasps, coming in from a skylight that looks to have water damage. We saw the 2nd mouse in the kitchen on the 2nd night. We had to clean the porch ourselves - we purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned the tables and porch floor. One of the two ovens does not work. There is one working TV in the house. The 5th "bedroom" is the basement, which smelled mustier than the rest of the house and is not separate from the bar area. The listing says you have the property to yourself, but there were at least 3 people and a dog staying in the small house just feet away from the main house.
