Hale Ho'onanea is a beautiful and private beachfront retreat on a stunning crowd-free beach on Oahu's North Shore.

This home features glorious, panoramic ocean views and direct access to a gorgeous white sandy beach in the summer and dramatic coastline in the winter. It also features an expansive private oceanfront lawn from which you can enjoy sunsets year-round.

Designed as a family home, there is plenty of living and bedroom space for families and couples traveling together, including two air conditioned living rooms: The main living area contains several areas to enjoy the lovely views, including a professional chef's kitchen, dining area, living room and family/TV room. The other is a perfectly sized kid's tv room with comfy couches, beanbag chairs, and large-screenTV.

The heart of the North Shore, Haleiwa Town, is a classic small beach town with grocery, bakery, boutiques, ocean sport rental gear, and restaurants and healthy cafes is only minutes away. You can fully enjoy luxury and privacy with easy access to all the conveniences at Ho'onanea.

Hawaii Family Vacation

Home was wonderful, great location and beautiful view, I felt it needed a little sprucing up, and the steps to the beach need to be repaired. Beach chairs, umbrella and cooler should be more accessible . Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and great location.

Absolute PERFECTION! - Look no further and BOOK NOW!

This was one of the nicest vacation rentals we have ever stayed in! We visited with 3 families (6 adults and 7 children ranging from toddler-age to young teen) and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better home! The bedrooms/sleeping arrangements are wonderful for families. The upstairs master is perfect for a couple with young kids because it has a separate sleeping area next to it, but still allows for privacy. The downstairs game room was a hit with both the adults and big kids, and having an additional playroom just off the living room was a dream because it allowed the adults to have a place to catch up, watch TV, or cook while having the babies/toddlers close by. The yard was an added bonuses that we didn't even know we needed (but thanks to this home have now learned is a MUST when we travel)--we spent almost as much time in the yard as we did at the beach. It honestly doesn't get much better than soaking in the hot tub or making s'mores with an ocean view!! The proximity to the beach was a life saver; considering parking at the local beaches can be very challenging after 9am, having the beach so conveniently close is huge!! Being able to watch the sea turtles was an experience we will never forget (however please remember to keep a respectful distance from them). If you did want to go into town (although we only went once because we didn't want to leave the house) its a short 5-10 minute drive. The icing on the cake was how kind, helpful, and welcoming the hosts are! In short--I can promise you are not going to find a better home on Oahu, so just book NOW before its gone!

It doesn't get better than this home!

We spent 8 days at this unbelievably beautiful home. The pictures don't do it justice. The location is absolutely amazing, only a mile from Haleiwa which has great restaurants and shops. The beach in front of the home was absolutely gorgeous with so many turtles and both beach areas for swimming and rock areas for tide pooling. We had a large group of family and friends and the house accommodated everyone with ease. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked and the house has absolutely everything you need including tons of snorkel equipment. We have spent the past three years in various houses on the North Shore and this was by far our favorite. We are already trying to book next years trip! Neige, the owner is incredibly helpful and we were so appreciative of the beautiful basket of goodies that was there to welcome us. This house is truly special and we appreciate the owners sharing it with us.

Fabulous Vacation Home

Perfect for our family of 17. 4 generations age 81 to 3 all had a great time. Wonderful ocean front home with room for all and a great lawn back yard for play. Turtles came everyday to eat and play in the surf which was amazing to witness. No one wanted to leave! Our wonderful "host" welcomed us with a lovely gift basket and was always available. Our Family agrees...A+.

Retirement celebration with family

My husband began his career in 1975 on the North Shore, so we knew this would be the perfect location to celebrate his retirement with our 6 children, their spouses and our 7 grandchildren. It was quite a feat organizing everyone from 4 different states and 2 countries, but this home was the perfect spot! Actually, it was better than the photos show. Everyone had private space, along with excellent communal outdoor space. Fully equipped and beautifully decorated! We did not want to leave the house, but took one excursion to Pearl Harbour. The Pacific Ocean was beautiful and strong, with humpback whales , many Green Sea Turtles and an occasional Monk Seal. Our family would be happy to return year after year!

A perfect Christmas on the North Shore

From the moment we arrived - holiday decorations! Music playing! Wine ready to pour! Doors open to the lanai and beach beyond.....everything was perfect! The house is spacious and so well-appointed! I appreciated the many personal touches like hooks to hang the towels on the lanai, 2 washers and dryers, 2 types of coffee makers (Keurig and drip), more kitchen tools and dishes than we could use - even a shave ice machine! We spent our mornings having coffee on the lanai followed by beach walks where we saw turtles and a seal. My parents (ages 78 and 83) enjoyed sitting and reading in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the beach. The hot tub was perfectly situated to maximize the view as well! We loved using the kitchen and also hired a personal chef recommended by the homeowner. The chef was amazing and really helped make our time special! The beds were comfortable and all of the bedrooms were beautiful! We had 3 generations ranging from 13 year old twins through college age kids, their middle-aged parents and grandparents. The house worked well for all ages and the layout allowed us to be together but also engaged in different activities whether it was cocktail hour, lawn sports (the house has lots of toys and games, snorkel equipment and boogie boards), video games on the TV, visiting on the lanai or playing ping pong and pool in the basement. Our vacation was a dream and this house made it possible! Our host was incredibly thoughtful (Christmas decorations!) and responsive to all of my questions. I want to return and do it all over again!

I love this property, and it was the perfect setting for my extended family to stay. The overall property is 10 stars. The location is set at the end of a cul-de-sac, making the beach access very calm and private. The views are awe-inspiring from every room in the home. There are above-expected gathering spots from the kitchen to the great room, the downstairs game room (equipped with pool table and ping pong) and dining areas as well as a fabulous backyard where we played cornhole, hot tubbed every day and night, frisbee and stickball. Equally abundant were quiet spaces on the lanai and a bedroom for each family of our party. This property was the perfect setting for our family, classy from beginning to end. Quick access to Haleiwa and all that little town has to offer. The communication with the property manager was timely and addressed everything we needed and more! I can't recommend this property enough for a large family gathering, or special event. Our memories from this trip and stay will last a lifetime. Thank you.

An Oasis

Our family numbered 13 people ages 3 to 70, everyone had a wonderful time and brought home unique memories. The photos of this rental are accurate, no camera gimmicks, you get exactly what you see. It's even better in person because you can't grasp the size of it from the photos. There are multiple gathering areas both indoor and out, we had our special spots as the day progressed. Lots of closets and storage space, a huge variety of toys, beach equipment, outdoor grill, firepit, swings, hammock made for all day fun and we never had to worry about safety for the 3 and 5 year old. Beautiful bedrooms, super comfortable mattresses, spacious showers, plenty of towels, air conditioning made room selections easy - there was not a bad room. Televisions are everywhere and the sound system was a nice plus, easy to Bluetooth into. Home owner was fantastic!! Neige was very responsive, a true pleasure to work with. Location of the home made getting all over the island easy. Haliewa was fun. Of course sea turtles in your backyard entertained us every day, my granddaughters found a rock crevice with sea glass constantly coming in so they were in heaven. Grandsons hardly left the downstairs game room. This is truly an exceptional home, ready to fill your families dreams with an abundance of treasured memories.

Best Vacation Ever

We had 3 daughters and their families a total of 15 ranging from 72 to 5. There was plenty to do right on the property with the a huge grass covered backyard, frisbee, playing catch, football, spikeball, tag, swinging on the tree swings?(especially a great favorite with all 7 grandkids). Then a couple of steps down to the beach to see the waves crashing against rocks, a couple of feet down plenty of sand on the shore and turtles floating near or on the shore. Now that just on or off the property. There are many beaches available on the north shore, snorkeling opportunities offshore or snorkeling boat tours, the Polynesian cultural center(great experience), so many things to experience so little time. We all had a fantastic time. Several of the grandkids wanted to know when we could come back less than 5 minutes after we left. Highly recommend!!!

Perfect family beach home

This home was perfect for our family of 18 people!! What a wonderful vacation. The home was very spacious. Each family had their own space when needed and the living area was large enough for us all to be together and not feel cramped. The home is well equipped and had everything we needed. The view is amazing and so peaceful. We loved watching the many sea turtles right in front of the home. The location next to Haliewa would be tough to beat. This was such a wonderful vacation for our family. All of our grandkids are asking when we can come back. Thanks so much for your hospitality Neige! Damon and Donna next door were also always available when we needed and were a wealth of information.

Beautiful property great location

If you are looking for a very relaxing time this is a great option. Plenty of space and close to Haleiwa and all the beaches of north shore. We had a great experience. Also the owner/manager was very responsive which is always a plus.

A place in paradise

If you are a looking for a tourist trap location avoid this property. If you’re looking for a literal place in paradise this is it. This is as close as home in paradise you will get. The emotion of the ocean is felt as your sitting in your bed, lounging on the hammock or gazing at the stars near the fire pit. Never in my life would I expect to see a rainbow 🌈, leather back sea turtle 🐢, families of crabs all at once from the back yard of my rental property. Literally sea turtles! And there’s coves and corals that our four year old navigated very well and got lucky catching some fish to release after learning about them ☺️ The host... the what an amazing human being. She was ready and available to answer all our questions at any time of the day or evening. She accommodated our family so much during our stay that I can’t thank her enough. I would highly recommend this house for a true Hawaiian experience with you and your loved ones. Maholo from California

Secluded Paradise

We had a magnificent time celebrating with family at this secluded paradise. The home is beautiful, well appointed and comfortable for extended family of 16, ages 8-80! Walking in the front door is literally jaw dropping. You are steps from the beach and able to enjoy the expanse of sand as if it were a private beach. Our family spent evenings on the green lawn or on the lanai and saw beautiful sunsets every night. We all were able to swim and snorkel in the mornings and evenings just a short walk from the house. Beautifully and thoughtfully stocked chef's kitchen. Comfortable beds with fans throughout the house for those warm nights. There was never a wait for a shower with the outdoor showers and many gorgeous bathrooms. Spacious common areas made for great conversations, games or quiet times to read or contemplate the beauty of your surroundings. Huge laundry room with multiple washers and dryers. We even had a hula lesson on the lawn! You are minutes from Haleiwa Town and the spectacular beaches of North Shore, Oahu. We are counting the days until we can return. Fabulous experience. Breathless and Unique

This beautiful home is at the end of a neighborhood that is the beginning of lush jungle on a breathless beach. We saw so many turtles and enjoyed the serenity of an unpopulated pristine beach. The home is extremely spacious and had every amenity. The decor is so inviting and made us feel at home and peaceful. We had plenty of space for our 2 families. The beds were comfortable and the yard a dream. The kids loved the rope swings and the hot tub was fabulous. We will definitely come back!

Unbelievable home!

This home was absolutely perfect for our family vacation in Oahu! It was a big family vacation with four couples and a few little ones. The house is SO well equipped with everything that you could need - every type of dish and cooking utensil imagined, 2 washers and 2 dryers, plenty of bathrooms, a den with toys for kids. The room layout is perfect and the bedrooms are spread out away from the living spaces - making it perfect for people who are all on different schedules. The view is stunning and you walk right out onto the beach. We rarely saw anyone on the sand, which made it practically a private beach. A short walk away, we were able to see a turtle that had come up on the sand. The house is a short drive from Haleiwa in one direction and there are a few surf spots and snorkel spots the other way down the road. We were able to take surf lessons, swim with sharks, and enjoyed lots of great activities within a 15 minute drive of the house. We had an incredible stay and would LOVE to come back again.

Stunning vacation home

We arrived and opened the double doors to the entry way to the most unbelievable home. The music of Hawaii playing in the background, You could hear the ocean waves. The large open floor plan had open pocket doors looking out over the back yard and lanai and beach. We were just in awe! The home is very large, open and inviting. The living area is beautifully decorated and has two living room areas and a beautiful dining area. The kitchen is huge with all the essential items, even condiments. Just needed to get groceries. Great gas BBQ. There is a separate kidsTV room with everything the kids need and also a huge separate game room with pool table, ping pong, water sports items. All the bedrooms and bathrooms beautifully decorated and well stocked with amenities. The two ocean facing bedrooms have pocket doors with lanais, also the second story bedroom does too. There is a Hot Tub also. This home would be great for a large family, or family get together. The way it is set up, the bedrooms are away from the living area and kitchen area. The bedrooms each have bathrooms. Did I mention there is an accessible shower and extra towels from those coming in from the beach? Also a laundry room with all the supplies you need. There is a quaint surf town nearby with great restaurants and shops to enjoy. We enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this home! We certainly loved it and would definitely come back!
