Surrounded by 4000 acres of Lush Shawnee Forest Big Sky Cabin sits on 20 acres of land. Secluded and Private this home welcomes you for a peaceful retreat. The home boasts all wood floors and tons of windows that provide scenic views and natural light. The large deck is the perfect place to hang and have a glass of wine. Large Fire Pit Overlooking Green Hills and Large Pine Trees.

The open living room flows into the kitchen and dining room, perfect for entertaining guests and socializing. The living room has a nice sectional sofa and a TV with DVD. The Kitchen/dining area has a 14 foot Farm Table.

The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and modern essentials. Prepare a delicious home-cooked meal with ease. Farm Table can sit up to 14 people.
Play a game of pool and Pac-man-Donkey Kong-Galaga ! The game room has big windows everywhere with connecting Deck. Large Sofa and BIG TV for movies at night! Wood Burning Fireplace!

4 cozy bedrooms with enough room in the home to sleep 20. The master bedroom includes a queen bed, an en-suite bathroom with shower and Jaczzui. The rest of the bedrooms have queen beds and are very cozy.

Had a wonderful stay at Big Sky Cabin! It was spacious and serene exactly what we were looking for to get away. We had deer in the front yard in the evenings. The kitchen had everything we needed and the game room was an added bonus. Brian, the host, was very communicative from beginning to end! It was everything we hoped for!

Loved all parts of our stay besides the lady bugs. Lots of lady bugs in the master bed and bath. We simply vacuumed as many as we could up and they seemed to stay away for the most part. Other than that it was a beautiful place and we would definitely book again.

Host was great, contacted me to say thank you for renting his house. Hot tub was perfect which was one of main reasons for renting the house, along with the 2 bathrooms, and the location. A good floor plan for 2 or more people. It was just my friend and I so we loved having are own separate wings!!! It also was not hard to find and close to the bourbon bar and a few wineries. Once you get the lay of the area other wineries are not hard to find. Overall hard a great time.

Place was very clean other than marks on the wall. The owner was AWESOME! Always responsive and friendly when we reached out. Beds were comfy, kitchen was large and very clean. Pool table was lots of fun. Didn't use the hot tub bc it was unreasonably warm but looked clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay again or use Brian's VBRO spots again.

If you live in the western suburbs of Chicago, your go-to quick getaways are usually Wisconsin or Michiganā€”but for spring break, when youā€™re craving even just a hint of warm weather, I highly recommend heading south to Southern Illinois. We were pleasantly surprised to get beautiful weather at the end of March!Traveling with our 8- and 9Ā½-year-old boys, we wanted an outdoor-focused escapeā€”and this place absolutely delivered.This was exactly the kind of place we needed to get our boys off screens and into nature. They spent their days exploring, getting dirty, throwing rocks, breaking sticks, fishing, and building fires. Evenings were our favoriteā€”starting a fire, enjoying a cocktail in the hot tub and watching the sunset. The boys loved having a pool table, too. The house itself was extremely comfortable and well-stocked: cozy beds, plenty of towels, fans, and everything we needed to cook meals.Morning coffee with those views? Absolutely breathtaking.It was the perfect escape from the noise and busyness of everyday lifeā€”and the stargazing was incredible.We didnā€™t even get to half of the activities we had planned because we loved being at the property so much. That said, we did make it out for some great hiking in Shawnee National Forest. The Makanda Trails are perfect for kids, with a variety of trail options. Be sure to stop by the Makanda Trading Companyā€”such a fun spot with unique treasures.Brian, the host, was super communicative and easily reachable.
