Thank you for acknowledging our home’s fantastic Gulf-front views, beach access, and comfortable beds. We are disappointed by the remainder of this review because it includes numerous concerns that were never reported to us during your seven-night stay, despite our direct communication throughout the week. The one issue that was reported was an unexpected HVAC failure Sunday evening. We immediately spent the next hour troubleshooting with you and then contacted both our regular service providers and additional emergency HVAC companies. Unfortunately, no technician was available Sunday night. Service was confirmed first thing Monday morning, a technician arrived around midday, and the system was repaired. The HVAC system had also recently been professionally serviced with no indication of an impending failure. While we sincerely regret the discomfort this unexpected failure caused, we responded immediately and had it professionally repaired at the first available opportunity. None of the other concerns described in this review—including the refrigerator, ice maker, insects, pool, cleaning, doors, or locks—were reported to us during the stay. Had they been, we would have immediately investigated and addressed them. Following the stay, the refrigerator and recently replaced ice maker were confirmed operational, the doors and locks were inspected, and no corresponding issues were identified by our cleaning, pool, or pest-control providers. The garage entry door does lock, and operating instructions are provided at the deck doors. Several other items mentioned are accurately disclosed before booking. This is a three-story Gulf-front home, and its layout and stairs are clearly depicted in the listing. Parking information is provided, including available community overflow parking. As to the comments regarding value, this is a Gulf-front home with direct beach access and is competitively priced among comparable Gulf-front properties. This particular reservation was also booked at a discounted rate. Amenities and optional services are clearly disclosed prior to booking, including that a golf cart is not included with every reservation. Keeping optional amenities separate allows us to maintain more competitive pricing for guests who do not need or want them. We take guest concerns seriously and encourage our guests to contact us immediately when something isn’t right so we have an opportunity to correct it. That is exactly what occurred with the unexpected HVAC issue. We only wish the additional concerns subsequently raised in this review had similarly been brought to our attention during the stay, as we would have been happy to investigate and address them.
