Hide-A-Way on the Bay! Recently renovated! An intimate setting awaits those who enjoy living near the water. This hidden gem near Captiva Village offers the privacy of only 8 units in a well-maintained and managed property, with a fabulous dock overlooking Pine Island Sound. This is one of the only properties where you can enjoy activities on the dock within eye sight of your condo and pool, such as fishing, watching passing wildlife or sipping coffee while watching the sunrise. Or even better, sip a cocktail while seeing the stars shimmer on the water in the evening! The pool area is recognized as one of the best settings on the island. This condo is newly renovated with updated bathrooms and tastefully decorated with original artwork. The primary bedroom holds a king size bed, en suite double sink bathroom and roomy shower. The guest room offers 2 twin beds with colorful décor. Enjoy watching the sunrise or moonrise on the lanai while overlooking beautiful Pine Island Sound. The open floor plan of the unit affords breathtaking views of the bay, as well as direct access from the lanai down to the pool just a few steps away. Watch wildlife like manatee and dolphin play as you sip coffee or a cocktail from your lanai, by the pool or sitting on the dock. For a different water view, simply walk about 500 yards to Captiva's beautiful beach side. The unit is equipped with plenty of beach equipment to help you enjoy your day looking for shells or relaxing at the beach.

Quiet and convenient

Our family enjoyed the quiet condo for a beach vacation. It is a short walk to everything we needed- beach, restaurants, small grocery. Communication with Kathy and the on-site manager Clyde were easy and helpful. The condo provided everything we needed from new prep to beach items. Everyone in the Captiva area was also family friendly and genuinely kind. Thank you!

Lovely, private, intimate and delightful neighbor/residents.

Great morning view of the bay and pool. Enjoyed watching the manatees and dolphins up close and personal. A fisherman's delight and walking distance to everything. The unit itself has been recently redecorated and is beautifully done and comfy and cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could want. Great bed in the master suite - slept like logs. The lanai was perfect for coffee, wine, reading and staring off into the waterfront view. Enjoyed our stay immensely.

Perfect Escape!

Our family of four - two adults and two young children - stayed in this lovely home over spring break. The condo has everything you need. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The owners had just renovated the kitchen and it is beautiful. The view of the bay is gorgeous. We watched the sun rise over the bay every morning. There were usually no others using the pool while we were there, so we had it to ourselves for much of the time. It's about a five minute walk to the beach, which was great. We rented a golf cart which isn't required, but sure made it easy to get around. I would love to return to Captiva and stay in this home again!

Perfect location and view!

We were hear for my daughter’s wedding and have been going to Captiva for 20 years and staying in my sister’s home. This was the first year we needed to rent something. This condo is beautiful and has everything you need. The location, privacy and pool are exceptional. It is walking distance to restaurants, shops, beach and boat rentals. Although convenient to everything, it is very private. The entire property is very well kept and beautiful. It even has a carport. The only downside for me was that the mattress was too soft for my bad back. My husband slept in it but did not like it. The owner might be changing it in the future. Other than that, it would have been five stars from me. This was the nicest condo that I have ever rented!

We had a fantastic stay at Hide-A-Way on the Bay. Kathy was easy to work with and the condo was beautiful. It was a quick walk to the beach and an easy trip down to the pool via spiral staircase. Clyde, the manager/groundskeeper was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The location cannot be beat. We have been coming to Captiva since 1992 and this is one of our favorite condos to date.

Best Place on the Island!

I cannot say enough positive things about our stay at Kathy’s lovely condo! It was even better than expected and truly a great find! The location is wonderful! Close to everything and the view of Pine Island Sound with the pool is so tropical and immediately put us in vacation mode. The condo was very clean, supplied with everything we needed and more, with comfortable beds! We loved watching the sunrise on the bay and taking a quick walk after one of many fabulous dinners out to watch the sunset on the Gulf. Clyde was wonderful as a direct contact if we needed anything and made it so much nicer than going through a rental agency. We rented a Golf Cart and zipped around the village to make it to dinner at all the great restaurants within walking distance. Loved getting cake (The White Christmas!) to go from the Bubble Room, hitting Mucky Duck to find out what their cheesecake of the day was (crème brûlée was a Fav), and having a special night out at Captiva House at Tween Waters. We saw Manatee so close we could touch them, dolphins jumping straight out of the water and schools of stingrays gliding by! The water was beautiful and so clear we could see our toes! The sand is hot so bring beach shoes! Overall, we had one of our best vacations yet and won’t hesitate to recommend Kathy’s condo! We loved coming back to such a beautiful place each day and waking up in paradise. We will be back!

Perfect rental for a family of four. Extremely easy access to the pool and a quick walk to the beach. Relaxing yet still enough to do for the kids. Condo was in excellent shape and the on-site property manager Clyde was fantastic.

Perfect Captiva Getaway

Clyde keeps the property immaculately clean. Nice zen garden framed by pool and direct water view. People fishing right off the sea wall. Dock broken unfortunately but I belueve repair is soon. Property perfectly located to me walk to local restaurants and shops. Short walk to beach 5-10 minutes. Definitely recommend. Condo itself nicely equipped and appointed — recent renovation? Looks updated!! Full kitchen and W/D

Great Week in Captiva

The condo location is great with unbelievable views of the sound from the lanai and pool areas. Just a short walk to the beach and village. The on-site property manager Clyde was very nice and answered any questions we had. This is only an 8 unit complex so the pool feels very private. We had the area to ourselves most days. We will definitely be returning.

First time visiting Captiva in over 30 years. The condo location was perfect to explore the island. Quiet area, easy walk to everything. Loved the condo itself. Great layout. Well appointed. A Slice of Heaven

I can't say enough wonderful things about this property, its owners and its managers! The property itself is bright, modern and very comfortable! The grounds are impeccable, the pool is toasty warm and the view....the view and the sunrises....divine! Kathy (the owner) was so helpful and made sure that we had all of the information we needed to pack/shop appropriately. The dock was damaged during the hurricane but once repaired (which is soon), it will be perfect for anyone who loves to fish. We rented a golf cart but you certainly don't need to....everything is right there. The Hide-a-Way is tucked back on the bay but just steps from the action. We'll be back!

Week on Captiva

To begin with, I booked this trip TOTALLY last minute. This was my 1st stay with a VRBO property & I couldn’t have been happier. The owner was very nice to deal with & her property was exactly as described, probably better. I don’t know if pictures can always do a place justice. It had a wonderfully updated kitchen, great screened porch, decor was really nice and beds were comfortable! Plus, plenty of bath towels despite a washer/dryer in the condo. The condo had everything we could possibly have needed, which blew me away. I’d like to mention how nice and clean everything was, which on a regular basis is super important to me, obviously now more than ever. It’s on the 1st floor(there are only 2),. Know there are 2 shortened flights of stairs to go up to get into the condo (building codes and all about having to be a certain height), so anything you bring, you carry up the steps. The view bc of that bit of required height is just beautiful. Much to our delight, there were stairs off the screened porch to go directly down to the back where the pool & dock are. It was incredibly peaceful out there, sitting at the end of the dock as well. My daughter got up to watch sunrise coming up over the bay (I’m not exactly a morning person like that!) The location was just right too. It’s right on the bay,with a pool and dock. It’s also very centrally located in the heart of Captiva. You could literally walk to everything if you wanted. The view was just gorgeous, dolphins and manatee came right up by the dock for feeding. I will never tire of seeing them no matter how often I’ve seen them! The managers there were very nice & when I’d see them on the property, always asked how our trip was going and if everything was alright or if we needed anything. The garden out front was just beautiful as well. I have adored Captiva since my first visit when I was in college, 30yrs ago. I love that it’s still basically the same, quiet, low key, relaxing & about the beach, gulf, shells, sunsets and if you’re lucky, some boating. The trip was supposed to be my daughter, son my sister and myself. My son ended up not making it bc of work, which of course I was so disappointed about, but understood. So instead, it ended up being a girls getaway week, a much needed one. Really thankful this last minute trip worked out-didn’t want to come home!

Vacation bliss

We love this condo in Captiva Island. It is the best of all worlds and a great location. Unbelievable sunrises in the morning and a short 5 minute walk to sunsets in the evening. This condo is a quick walk to all the main road in Captiva with restaurants, galleries, and other stores so no car needed most of the week. The condo unit was clean and had everything we needed to have a truly relaxing vacation (beach towels, chairs, umbrella and cart). We loved coming back from the beach and hanging out at the pool for a few hours (we even saw manatee and dolphins many afternoons). It was the perfect escape for us and can't wait to visit again soon.

Amazing views and location!

We just spent 6 days in this amazing condo. It was perfect for my family. My oldest child loves to fish and my youngest loves the pool. We couldn’t have asked for a better set up for the two of them! Also, so convenient to restaurants and general store! We hardly drove the rental car. Can’t wait to stay here again in the future!!

They bay views are breathtaking! 1C was comfortable and decorated with beautiful furnishings and everything necessary for a good time on Captiva! It’s a manageable walk to the beach with the cart and accessories. We loved it!

Beautiful Captiva

We really enjoyed our stay at this well appointed, pretty little condo with a stunning view. We were welcomed immediately by the property manager and shown to a clean, nicely laid out condo that slept four comfortably and that had an open kitchen/living room/lanai lay out that maximized a great water view. The second we opened the sliders to the lanai and let the fresh air in, we were transported! Also, the condo is conveniently located in Captiva -- a minute or two walk to restaurants, ice cream, Doc Ford's/South Seas Resort, shops, and great beaches. We would definitely do it again!

Perfect Condo for Quiet Get-Away

This Condo is located within walking distance of numerous restaurants and gift shops but is far enough away so there is no bother with traffic, parking or people. It was very clean, spacious and nicely furnished, including a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. It has a great view of the pool and the bay behind the pool; we loved the screened porch overlooking the pool. Watching the sun rise over the bay from that porch at dawn with a hot cup of coffee was a joy! The beach on the Gulf side is a short walk (or drive) away and the condo comes with all the usual beach accessories. The Owner, who lives elsewhere, was very pleasant and responsive by e-mail, and the property manager who lives nearby, made sure we were comfortable and was always ready to answer our questions. We've been to Captiva a couple of times before but this stay and condo was the best. We're already talking about going back next year.

Our week at Captiva

Our family of four greatly enjoyed our stay on Captiva, and the very well-appointed surroundings at Hide-A-Way. The kitchen was beautiful, and made us want to stay and eat in (which we did for four of our days) rather than go out. All of Kathy's suggestions were useful, especially the bike rentals from YOLO's, and the daytime cruise to Cabbage Key. For groceries and supplies, we loved Bailey's, and would not have been so concerned about doing a big shopping at Publix before getting over the causeway. We used the beautiful pool at Hide-A-Way everyday, and always enjoyed the morning sun on Pine Island Sound. (Thanks for NOT having window treatments/blinds over the sliding doors from living area to porch -- who would want to block that view?!) The beach access we found to be our favorite was at the end of Sannibel-Captiva Road, just past the entrance to the South Seas Resort. The beach seemed a bit wider there, and of course it was an easy bike ride. A wonderful week! Thank you so much!

Amazing views, beautiful condo, and just steps away from pool

We loved our one week stay at this condo! It was very nicely updated, with comfortable furniture and large kitchen for cooking our meals. We watched amazing sunrises every morning, and spent hours in the warm pool! The owner and onsite manager were fantastic about accommodating any needs, such as an extra fan and inflatable toys for the pool. We were also within 5 min walking distance to store, restaurants, and 10 minutes to the beach. Perfect vacation spot! Five stars!!

A little slice of heaven!

This was a perfect place to stay FOR OUR 40TH wedding anniversary. Very clean, tastefully decorated and relaxing. Very quiet area. All the restaurants within walking distance. Though we were on the bay side, it was the best of both worlds. We could watch the sunrise in the morning and a very short walk to the gulf side and we could enjoy the sunset. Ron, the onsite manager, was very helpful and gave us a few other places to visit while there. The owners were very responsive with any questions and we are so grateful they recommended the cruise to Cabbage Key! Would highly recommend this condo!

We live at this property half the year, and spend the rest of our time in the Boston area.
Having spent many years visiting my parents' winter home at Punta Rassa, just across the causeway from Sanibel Island, we knew we wanted to find a home for ourselves in this area.

We enjoy the privacy and tranquility Captiva Hide-A-Way provides, and we are happy to share our special spot with others.
Captiva's geography allows you to visit the beach and bay easily, but as avid boaters and fishermen we realized our side on Pine Island Sound is much more interesting. We can easily access our boat, and we enjoy watching manatees and dolphins frequently visiting our backyard!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Once we saw Captiva-Hide-a-Way, we knew we had found our spot. Sunrises are amazing, and we love looking out at the dock from the condo. We have enjoyed sitting at the end of the dock at all times of day watching boats go by, watching the moon rise, and spying on manatee as they play nearby. Keeping a boat on the property is another special perk.
