The Key to the Hawaiian Vacation You Dream About.

The Royal Kahana Resort is one of West Maui's premiere vacation destinations! This beachfront/oceanfront complex situated on white-sand Kahana Beach is centrally located between the Ka`anapali and Kapalua resorts, in the quiet community of Kahana. Its ideal location means that guests are within minutes of all of the activities that make Maui a top vacation destination in the world.

Our deluxe oceanfront property is very spacious at 777 square feet with a 150 square foot lanai (compared to most one bedroom units in the area). The unit is on the 9th floor and the view is incredible! The travertine lanai overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean and outer islands of Lana’i and Moloka’i, is the perfect place for your morning coffee, whale watching (in season), and beautiful sunsets.

This 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit has a queen-sized bed in the bedroom and the living room has a queen-sized sleeper sofa, so it can comfortably sleep four guests. The unit includes all the best: granite countertops, ceramic tile floors, African mahogany cabinets, stone-and-travertine custom shower, two plasma HDTVs, and much more. A washer/dryer in the unit, all linens, kitchen necessities, beach toys and more are available for your comfort and enjoyment.

Ample parking is available (resort fee of $18/night including taxes). Local and toll telephone calls from inside the unit are free. Free wireless internet is available in the unit. A spacious beachfront swimming pool, beachfront BBQ/picnic area, on-site fitness room, ping pong table, and a small vending area are all on site. Swimming and boogie boarding are available on the beach in front of the resort, and surfing is available a short distance down the beach. At times, mostly during the winter months and bad weather, direct access to the beach in front of the resort is limited, however when that occurs alternate access is just a short walk away.

Fine and casual dining restaurants, a gas station, a convenience store, sundry shops, coffee shop, bank, and clothing shops are all within a two-block/two-minute walk from your luxury accommodations. Championship golf at both the Kapalua Golf Course (home of the annual SBS PGA Tour Championsip) and the Royal Ka`anapali Golf Club (home of the annual PGA Senior Skins Game) are just minutes away, as are beach activities like parasailing, jet skiing, banana boating, and sailing. The best snorkeling on the island (Honolua Bay) is a short 10-minute drive.

This is our 4th time at this building, and 3rd time in this unit. It never disappoints. That’s why we continue to stay. We took our older granddaughter with us. Her first time in Hawaii, she was over the moon. She commented several times on how much she loved the unit.

Excellent view and grounds!

We had an amazing stay on the island of Maui with restaurants just a minute away! We snorkled right in front of our condo and had a blast! Unit could use a little restarations but over all had an amazing trip and will do it again next year.

Great location!

Second time, same place

My husband, n I already knew we would love this place because this is our third year in this building, n the second time in this unit. We were so happy when we were able to book this exact unit for this years trip. Watching the sunset every night is breathtaking. The best snorkeling we have ever experienced is right there. Would definitely stay again.

The condo we stayed at was amazing. We were close to everything for shopping and entertainment. Got to travel the island and enjoy its beauty. The condo owners were amazing and their condo was perfect. Cannot wait to come back!!!

Nice location but a little outdated

The condo is super well situated with view and access to ocean and near very nice beaches. It is outdated a little except bathroom and kitchen. View from the deck very nice. For the price, some amenities could be better. The beds are not too conformable, the oven is not working very well with no fans. There is not enough pillows for the pull out couch.

Nice view but building under remodel

The unit itself was clean and had a great view of ocean. AC could never get below 70. Shower could use a better shower head, water just falls out instead of directed spray. The building has ongoing maintenance so it was loud during the day with work going on. The parking was fine, $18/night. The pool was nice except no one at the property seemed to take care of it. Debris in the pool everyday. There is a very small beach area so if you are looking for a beach this may not be your spot. If beach isn't a big deal everything else was fine.

Condo does no disappoint

Location Location, Location. View from the lanai is amazing. Condo and building is clean and well maintained. Some work being done to the exterior, But didn't bother us out on the Lanai. Would definitely recommend the condo as an excellent choice.

Older condo but amazing view and location

Improvements needed - the condo is dated, windows, refrigerator, sliding door need updates and living room sofa and area rug need cleaning. The bathroom is small, it worked fine for 2 of us but would be tight for a family. Positives - owners provide quick responses, great location and the view is amazing!

Paradise

We spent 11 nights in this unit and really enjoyed it. It could use a bit of updating, and a king size bed. That would make it perfect. The location is great. The view is amazing! We seen whales and turtles daily from the balcony that we spent lots of time on. I loved how large the space is, I could put everything away and keep it tidy. A small safe in the unit would be nice. We never used the air conditioning because with the slats, sliding door and windows the cross breeze was amazing. We never closed anything. We did have a little issue with the lock on the door, but they got that fixed right away. I would definitely recommend this unit, and stay here again.

More complicated than happy or unhappy

Property location: great,ideal for whale watching from lanai, many restaurants in area and day drives to sight see. Unit: well appointed, everything we needed but emergency lighting for power outages Owners: very responsive to unit not being cleaned & ready upon arrival. Handled issue promptly. Onsite management: terrible communication. Power was off 4-5 times during our 7 day stay, once for over 24 hours. Tossed spoiled food in frig. No hot water for 2 days so no shower. Generator truck ran all week, with pause for refueling etc. No electricity means no elevator. Not a problem if stairwells are lit, but they weren't and no way to prop doors open. 9th floor exit offered opportunity for much exercise but was impossible for those with mobility probs (safety issue!) and when phone isn't charged for flashlight use. On day 5 of our stay motion lights were placed in the stairwells. Jackhammers ran 9-4 weekdays as structural repair was taking place, often near our unit. No quiet naps, no windows open at night with sound of generator....we hit the perfect storm it seems. If none of this had happened, would have given great reviews. We are not complainers, so made the best of the circumstances, but was quite spendy for all the issues we endured. Will consider a hotel next time around.

Beautiful spot on the shore

Great location for us, I saw whales out in the water on the first day. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We did find a chocolate on the floor that didn’t belong to either of us, and I found a plastic piece in one of the washcloths that could’ve been uncomfortable in the wrong area. All in all great spot and fairly comfortable place to lay our heads.

Great location on Maui (NW coast)

This property was in a very nice location to explore the north and west coasts of Maui. This VRBO was very clean. We stayed in several VRBOs in Hawaii, and this was the cleanest by far. The host/s were very helpful, easy to work with, and very prompt in replying to our questions.

A great place to stay in Maui

We had a wonderful time at this property. The views from the lanai were wonderful and we saw humpback whales from there every day. The kitchen was well stocked and made our stay of 10 days very comfortable. The condo was very spacious and comfortable. It was close (walking distance) to some shops and restaurants which was very nice. The owners have paid close attention to detail with their property and it shows. The owners were also very easy to communicate with.

Great stay at Royal Kahana 914

Gorgeous view, very nicely decorated and up to date. Enjoyed our stay, wish we could be here longer. Only needed ac in the afternoon, just kept windows open for breeze and sounds of the surf rest of the time. Pool warm and so enjoyable.

This is the second time my husband, and I have stayed in this building. We absolutely love it. The best snorkeling we have done in Maui is right there. Walking distance to places to eat, grocery stores very short drive away.

Amazing Views

We loved our stay here. The place was clean and came equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed sitting on the Lanai every morning having breakfast and admiring the view. The kitchen was fully equipped. Communication with host was great. The location is great. Close to a lot great things in Maui. The Laundry machine worked great for us. Highly recommended.

This property has a great beach (despite seasonal issues) and incredible views and provides resort amenities without the mega-resort crowd. Its location is ideal. It is quiet on-site but close enough to activities/nightlife so that you don't feel like you have to pick one type of vacation over another.
