The Space:

Plan an exciting trip to Folly Beach with your beloved group and make yourself at home at this darling riverfront condo part of the Mariners Cay villas, a quiet, gated complex near Folly Beach (0.8 of a mile). The villas have a community outdoor pool and tennis courts and are surrounded by gorgeous river views. You and your friends may enjoy the amenities at the complex or head right across the bridge to enjoy all of the nightlife, restaurants, and beautiful Folly Beach (about one mile away). Or, head in about 10 miles to historic downtown Charleston.



This beautifully adorned retreat has a screened balcony with plenty of comfortable seating options, offering the perfect spot for admiring some river views. The open floor plan seamlessly combines the living and dining areas and the kitchen. Kick your feet up and unwind along with your friends on the large sofa and watch a favorite show on the TV with cable. Or read any of the many incredible books provided. The adjoining dining table seats four people comfortably and guests can find three stools at the breakfast bar. The well-appointed kitchen has every appliance and cookware the cook of the group could need to surprise everyone with memorable meals and snacks. The convenient dishwasher will be a relief when it's time to do the dishes. Additional amenities include central AC and a stackable washer/dryer in the kitchen.

Location of property was very nice. Living area/kitchen and back screened in porch were very nice. Really enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings. Bedrooms were ok - the smaller bedroom had electrical outlet issues. I would suggest making the key code to the front door a shorter amount of numbers as it was too long to memorize and had to look it up each time we entered. My only other "complaint" is not with the unit itself but as I saw in another review prior to us arriving - the one parking spot assigned to this unit is completely under a tree. EVERY time we parked whether it was for running in for 15 minutes or overnight birds in that tree bombarded my entire car windshield, hood and other windows with massive amounts of bird poop. It was ridiculous. I understand that is not something that could be controlled by the unit owner/management but it is a big deal. I have run my car thru a carwash twice and still have it dried on in places. A nice courtesy would be to include one or two car wash passes to a local car wash. One other thing that was odd... it is a gated community which is one thing we liked when making the reservation. However for some reason the gate is only down in the daytime. Every night the gate was lifted and no access code needed - anyone could come and go.

The condo was perfect for us. It was super clean, with comfortable beds and a very well-equipped kitchen; we absolutely loved the screen porch. We saw dolphins several times while enjoying our morning coffee on the porch.

Awesome river view from screened-in porch. So close to Folly Beach, but quieter than across the bridge. All-in-all it was an excellent value!

Check-in was smooth and communication was great before, during, and after our stay. The condo itself is bright and cutely decorated, but the star is definitely the huge screened in porch with an amazing swing and peaceful view of the Folly River. We did learn to use a visitor parking spot versus the assigned spot under a tree after the first night and a trip through the car wash. Other than that, our stay was great and we'd recommend!

The porch with intercostal water front view was amazing. We did see porpoise jumping. It was a nice condo with easy drive over last bridge to Folly Beach. I ran by it one morning. I think it was 3/4 mile from door to beach.

Relaxing visit. We enjoyed watching the dolphins each morning and evening. Great food nearby as well. The condo was in great condition and very comfortable. Would go back again in a heartbeat!

The property was great. It was very clean, the kitchen was remodeled and the back porch overlooking the channel was so relaxing. We loved dolphin watching on the big swing. The neighborhood was quiet and has an awesome swimming pool. It is conveniently located to the town of Folly and the beach, and is a short 15 minutes to Charleston. There is something for everyone. The condo definitely needs new mattresses and new pots and skillets for the kitchen. They also would be best to not work with Vacasa. They were an issue. Besides those small glitches, we loved our time there and will definitely return in the future.

Relaxing stay

This condo is a beautiful place for a relaxing vacation. We walked the short trip over the bridge into Folly Beach and enjoyed the beach as well as the bars/restaurants. We also took a short drive into Charleston to experience it for the first time. We also drive to Savannah and Tybee Island for the first time. This condo is centrally located to these two major cities. The back porch was our favorite place to unwind and chat, watch for dolphins, and swing on the porch swing. I would highly recommend this place to enjoy your vacation.

Perfect Relaxation

My husband, his mom, and I enjoyed our stay so much! The view was amazing! The condo was beautifully decorated, spacious, and convenient to everything. Downtown was 20 minutes away. We could walk to Folly Beach. We loved it!

We travelled folly Beach to explore the area and eat some wonderful seafood. We definitely love the community and the small town vibe you get in Folly Beach We will return! The condo unit was very clean very well decorated, and we very much enjoyed our stay

Lovely view

We really enjoyed the gorgeous view of the boats and the water. The kitchen was great, home was exactly as pictured. The only issue (and this has nothing to do with the property owner) was the noise at night above us. The upstairs inhabitants were very loud strangely from about 10 pm to midnight both nights we were there my children were woken from their sleep. Certainly not the fault of the property management but something to note, bring a white noise machine or ear plugs! (Could have been a fluke or even another visiting guest so I hope no one else has this issue. We loved being so close to the beach and all the restaurants, such a beautiful porch as well. Enjoyed our stay!

Perfect spot!

My family gifted me with a few days of rest and relaxation as I am a caregiver for my husband. This lovely place was just what I needed! I spent much of my time on the large screened porch overlooking the river, with the boats moving back and forth on the sparkling water. The place was well stocked, clean, quiet, and I left feeling refreshed and grateful.

Beautiful Views

Relaxing back porch with beautiful views of the inlet waterway where schools of dolphins play, alongside paddleboarders and kayakers enjoying the water. The newly renovated space features a two person swing and comfy rocking chairs, making it a great place to kick back at the end of a day on the beach. The condo was clean and well appointed, although the kitchen could use an update.
